This research was conducted to investigate the voice related needs of occupational voice users. The data collected from teachers(379), tele-marketers(156), therapists(50) was classified according to its content, by colaizzi's inductive categorical analysis. The voice related needs are classified into 3 big categories, 1) how to use, 2) how to care, 3) how to be healthy. Again the category 'how to use' my voice was into 6 sub-categories: (1) efficiently, (2) as I desired, (3) without pain(discomfort), (4) expressively, (5) phonation (methods) and (6) clear articulation. The result showed that the needs from 3 groups of occupational voice users reflect their own environment which they have to use their voice as well as the voice characteristics wanted from their specific listeners.

Backgroud : Now a days, most studies for professional voice user have been performed after artificial voice abuse without consideration of environmental and personal factors, and occupational specificity, therefore those studies have some problems. Objectives : To make a basic guideline for the management of untrained professional voice user, practically we ananalyzed the voice of experimental group. Materials and methods : Just after working, the sustained vowel sounds of the 15 female telephone operators (subjective group) and the 20 normal female persons (control group) were analysed, using a history paper, acoustic analyzer and videostroboscopy. Results : The most common symptom in subjective group was dysphonia. Stroboscopic findings in subjective group were as following ; posterior chink 11 cases (73%), incomplete closure 2 cases (13%), anterior chink 1 case (7%). The mean maximal phonation time in telephone operators was 12.8 seconds and in control group was 16.8 seconds. Jitter, pitch pertubation quotient (PPQ), shimmer and amplitude pertubation quotient (ASQ) were significantly increased in subjective group than control group, but there is no difference between two group in fundamental frequency and noise to harmonic ratio. Conclusion : Untrained professional voice user needs professional career guidance and counseling. And when we manage the untrained professional voice user, we should consider specific occupational, personal and environmental factors as well as laryngeal factors.

본 연구는 직업적 음성사용자들의 음성증상 및 음성건강 관련 서비스 인지도를 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 교사, 텔레마케터, 치료사들을 대상으로 음성증상의 유무 및 유형, 음성건강 관련 서비스 인지도를 알아본 결과 교사(91.8%), 텔레마케터(97.9%), 치료사(86%)들은 한 가지 이상의 음성증상을 보고하였다. 증상 유형은 '열감, 마름, 마른기침, 통증, 가래생김, 따끔거림, 쉼, 목소리 갈라짐, 부어오름'의 9가지로 분류되었고, 세 집단 모두에서 '마름' 증상이 가장 많았다. 교사의 85.7%, 텔레마케터의 87.8%, 치료사의 66%는 음성사용 관련 전문가의 도움을 받은 경험이 없었으며, '음성언어치료사'와 '언어치료사' 모두를 아는 경우는 각각 19.6%, 19.9%, 72%였다. 음성의 효율적 사용법에 대해 교사의 36.8%, 텔레마케터의 43.6%가 잘 알지 못한다고 하였으며, 교사의 45.3%, 텔레마케터의 43.6%, 치료사의 28%는 음성전문가의 도움이 필요하다고 답했다. 조사 결과, 직업적 음성사용자들의 상당수가 음성증상을 경험하지만 음성건강 관련 전문적 서비스에 대한 인지도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다.

직업적 음성 사용자들의 범위가 확대됨에 따라 음성에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 특히 교사는 음성장애 위험이 높은 직업군에 포함되기 때문에 음성문제 발생과 음성장애 발병 요인에 대한 규명이 필요하다. 본 연구는 교사의 음성 특성과 음성장애 위험 요인에 대한 체계적 연구 분석을 통해 교사의 음성장애 위험 요인을 확인하고 이를 위한 기초자료를 제공하였다. 2000년부터 2018년까지 '직업', '교사', '직업적 음성 사용자', '음성', '음성장애', '위험' 키워드를 조합하여 414편의 연구가 검색되었으며 그 중 8편의 연구를 최종 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 질적 평가는 Qualsyst: checklist for assessing the quantitative studies 항목을 수정하여 비뚤림 평가를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 교사는 음성 사용에 있어 음성의 오남용이 자주 발생하였으며 이는 환경에 영향을 받는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 교사의 음성 오남용 환경 개선과 주기적인 음성 교육이 필요함을 제안한다.
