정보영재 교육대상자들의 관찰 및 추천 방법 (Observed and Recommended Method for Gifted Student for Information Science Eudcation)

  • 정보 영재 교육 대상자들을 선발하기 위해서 기존의 지필 평가 중심에서 관찰 추천으로 변화되고 있고 이는 영재의 잠재성 개발에 그 초점이 맞추어 가고 있다. 정보 교과가 학교교육에서 중요 교과로 다루지 않기 때문에 교사들의 관찰 추천으로부터 관심이 멀어지고 있고 관찰 추천 방법에 대한 아이디어가 매우 부족하다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해서 기존의 정보 영재교육대상자들의 정보 영재들에 대한 특성들을 분석하여 관찰 추천 요소들을 제안하고 그 타당성을 설명하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과는 현장 교사들이나 관찰추천교사들의 정보 분야의 영재교육대상자들을 선발할 때에 활용가능성이 있다.

Lateral stiffness of corner-supported steel modular frame with splice connection

  • This paper proposes a comprehensive investigation on lateral stiffness of corner-supported steel modular frame using splice connection. A full-scale modular frame with two stacked steel modules under lateral load is tested. Ductile pattern in the transfer of lateral load is found in the final failure mode. Two types of lateral stiffness, including tangent stiffness and secant stiffness, are defined from the load-displacement due to the observed nonlinearity. The difference between these two types of stiffness is found around 20%. The comparisons between the experimental lateral stiffness and the predictions of classical methods are also conducted. The D-value method using hypothesis of independent case is a conservative option for predicting lateral stiffness, which is more recommended than method of contraflexural bending moment. Analyses on two classical short-rod models, including fix-rod model and pin-rod model, are further conducted. Results indicate that fix-rod model is more recommended than pin-rod model to simplify splice connection for simulation on lateral stiffness of modular frame in elastic design stage.

콩포장에서 노린재류의 밀도조사법 개발 (Development of Observation Methods for Density of Stink Bugs in Soybean Field)

  • 콩의 생식생장기에 노린재류의 밀도조사법을 개발하고자 하였다. 타락법, 포충망법 및 달관법으로 콩의 개화기(R2), 결협기(R4) 및 성숙기(R7)에 발생하는 톱다리개미허리노린재, 가로줄노린재, 풀색노린재, 알락수염노린재 및 썩덩나무노린재의 성충과 약충의 밀도를 조사한 결과 노린재류의 총 조사량은 타락법에서 5,214.2마리로 가장 많았으며, 다음은 달관법에서 2,581.8마리 였으며, 포충망법에서 103.1마리로 가장 적었다. 타락법과 달관법에 의한 노린재류의 총 조사량은 가로줄노린재 > 풀색노린재 > 썩덩나무노린재 > 톱다리개미허리노린재 > 알락수염노린재의 순서로 많았고, 발생량의 차이도 분명하였으나, 포충망법에 의한 노린재류의 총 조사량은 18-23마리로 발생량의 차이가 분명하지 않았다. 따라서 타락법에 의한 주요 노린재류의 조사밀도는 톱다리개미허리노린재 성충을 제외하곤 대체로 높았다. 하지만 타락법보다 불출법으로 콩의 개화시부터 성숙까지 톱다리개미허리노린재의 성충을 더 많이 조사할 수 있었고, 일중 조사량은 오후시간대보다 오전시간대에 많았다. 그러므로 콩포장에서 노린재류의 밀도조사법으로 톱다리개미허리노린재는 불출법으로, 가로줄노린재, 풀색노린재, 알락수염노린재 및 썩덩나무노린재는 타락법이 추천되었다. 이러한 2가지 조사법의 적용은 노린재류의 종간 행동적 특성 차이 때문이다.

  • This paper studies on the tracking phenamena by the IEC recommended method with various polymeric insulating materials which are used in industrial fields. Under the same experimental condition, according to the materials it is observed that there are the type of tracking breakdown and the type of tracking erosion. In the tracking breakdown type materials, the tracking breakdown is occurred at a small number of drops increasing of test voltage and solution density. In the tracking erosion type materials, the erosion depth is saturated or proportioned as increasing of test voltage and solution density.

구강 세균 채취법에 따른 세균의 다양성과 양 분석을 위한 예비 연구 (Preliminary study on the diversity and quantity analysis of oral bacteria according to the sampling methods)

  • Objectives: Oral bacterial samples included subgingival, supragingival, and saliva plaques. As the diversity and number of microorganisms deffer depending on the area of the oral cavity and the method used, an appropriate and reliable collection method is important. The present study investigated oral bacterial sampling methods. Methods: Supragingival dental plaque was collected from the buccal and lingual tooth surfaces of study participants using sterilized cotton swabs. Plaques were collected from the subgingival area using a sterilized curette. Bacterial genomic DNA was extracted using MagNA Pure 96 DNA and Viral NA low-volume kits. Real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was performed using the PowerCheckTM Periodontitis Pathogens Multiplex Real-time PCR kit. Results: Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, Prevotella intermedia, and Fusobacterium nucleatum of the orange complex were not observed in the subgingival biofilms of all study participants. For Porphyromonas. gingivalis, a significant correlation was observed between supragingival, subgingival, and total tooth surface biofilms. Compared to the supragingival and subgingival biofilmss, total tooth surface biofilm exhibited the highest bacterial count when the inswabbing method was used. Conclusions: Based on these findings, the supragingival swab method is recommended for oral bacterial research.

아동의 독서실태조사 (An Analytical Study on Reading Behavior of School Children)

  • The purpose of present study is to investigate children's attitude toward reading, reading method, reading environment, reading volume, and then to compare the results obtained by sex, area and grade. The tool used in this survey was a questionaire designed specially by the investigator. The questionaire was distributed to 1339 children selected at the descretion of the investigator with due consideration of sex, area(large city, medium city and rural community) and grade (from 2nd grade of primary school to 2nd year of middle school). The results of this study are summerized as follows : 1) Regional difference was observed in respect of the followiug : Awareness on reading, motivation for reading, reading method, activity after reading, number of books collected, reading guidance, how to obtain books to read, monthly reading volume, and reading tendency. 2) Also difference by grade was observed in respcet of the following ; Activity after reading, reading guidance, monthly reading volume and reading tendency. The following conclusions have been made based on the results of the survey: 1) The children's attitude toward reading and reading method may be considered favorable while reading environment is not satisfactory yet. Especially, reading environment of school children in medium cities and rural communities is worse than that of large cities. 2) No difference by sex was observed in respect of attitudes toward reading, reading method, reading environment and reading volume while difference by sex was observed in respect of reading tendency. The followings are recommended based on the results of survey: 1) To establish and carry out a comprehensive program for the improvement of reading environment of the school children in medium cities and rural communities. 2) To improve and substantiate school library facilities and design a proper guidance program to have children utilize school library to the maximum extent. 3) To contemplate on the consolidated measures for reading behavior survey.

Indirect Calorimetry를 이용한 한국 성인의 휴식대사량 비교 연구 (A Comparison of the Resting Energy Expenditure of Korean Adults Using Indirect Calorimetry)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide baseline data for revising the recommended energy intake for Korean adults. We recruited 290 adults so as to determine their resting energy expenditure (REE) and energy intake. The REE was measured by indirect calorimetry. We also calculated the REE from prediction equations formulated by World Health Organization (WHO), The energy intake for two consecutive days was assessed using the 24 hour recall method. The body weight, lean body mass (LBM) and percentage body fat were measured using the INBODY 3.0 system. We compared the results of three age groups ; 20 to 29 years,30 to 49 years and 50 years or more. The average energy intake of each age group was below the 7th Korean Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA). The average energy intake was lower in the older age groups. However, no difference was observed among the age groups when the energy intake as a percentage of the Korean RDA was compared. Our measurement of the REE was higher than the REE calculated by the WHO's method. Correlation coefficients between the measured and the calculated values of REE for all age groups showed significant correlations (r=0.475-0.672). As the ages of all the subjects increased, the REE/kg of body weight decreased. There were no significant differences in the REE / kg of the LBM between the different age groups; however, the REE/kg of the LBM was higher in the female group than in the male group. Negative correlations of the REE with the age (r=-0.242) and body fat ratio (r=-0.313) were observed; positive correlations of the REE with the BMI (r=0.265), height (r=0.570), weight (r=0.562) and LBM (r=0.586) were also found (p<0.01).

패널교통사고자료 기반 기대교통사고건수 추정기법 평가 (Assessing Estimation Methods of the Expected Crashes using Panel Traffic Crash Data)

  • 유사한 특성을 갖는 지점 (또는 구간)들에서 연속되고 동일한 시간 간격 동안 관측된 패널 (panel) 교통사고 자료를 시간의 흐름에 따라 비교분석하여 분석지점의 기대교통사고건수를 추정하는 과정은 교통안전 개선사업의 효과 평가와 교통안전 개선사업 수행의 우선순위 결정과 같은 교통안전연구의 핵심이다. 패널 교통사고 자료를 이용한 기대교통사고건수 추정기법은 관측교통사고건수 기반 기법과 경험적 베이지안 기법으로 대별할 수 있으며, 본 연구에서는 시간의 흐름에 따른 기대교통사고건수의 변화 여부와 다양한 패널 교통사고 자료 구조에 따라 전술한 두 가지 기법의 추정오차를 모의실험을 통해 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과 시간의 흐름에 따른 기대교통사고건수의 변화 여부와 패널교통사고자료 구조의 특성과 관계없이 관측교통사고건수 기반 추정치인 평균 관측교통사고건수와 평행비교 추정치의 추정오차는 경험적 베이즈 추정치의 추정오차보다 항상 크게 나타나 향후 패널교통 사고자료를 이용한 교통안전 연구 수행 시 경험적 베이지안 추정기법의 적용이 필요하다고 판단된다. 한편 시간의 흐름에 따라 기대교통 사고건수가 변화하지 않을 경우 분석기간이 늘어날수록 두 가지 기법의 추정오차는 모두 현저하게 감소하는 것으로 분석되어, 현재 국내의 교통사고 잦은 곳 선정 연구에서 기준치로 사용되고 있는 분석기간인 "1년"을 연장하여 보다 효율적으로 시간 불변 기대교통사고건수를 추정할 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

다속성 의사결정 이론을 토대로 한 삶의 질 측정치에 대한 이론적, 실험적 비교 (Comparison of health-related outcome measured: Time-tradeoff measures vs. Healthy years equivalents)

  • Time-tradeoff measures and healthy years equivalents were assessed and compared through an empirical study based on Multi-attribute utility theory. The study included 33 student subjects as a pilot study, and 54 end-stage renal disease patients in Wisconsin. The two outcome measures were compared with the survival duration of 1, 5, and 10 years. The results of the study show that the time-tradeoff method and the two-stage method did not lead to the same numerical quantities, although they aim to measure the same quantities (equivalent numbers of healthy years) theoretically. The healthy years equivalents involved more inconsistencies, and were less reliable than the time-tradeoff measures. Overestimation of the healthy years equivalents was observed. This seemed to be caused by the complex procedure of the two-stage method as well as by the preferences assessment biases. Based on the study experiences, the time-tradeoff measure would be recommended for problems involving generic medical applications and health policies.

여고생의 신체활동 정도에 따른 월경전증후군의 차이 (Difference in Premenstrual Syndrome by Physical Activity Level in High School Girls)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted in order to examine premenstrual symptoms (PMS) according to physical activity of high school girls. Method: Data were collected from 323 high school girls using structured questionnaires, Menstrual Distress Questionnaire (MDQ) and International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and AVOVA. Results: The mean score of PMS was low (2.200.81). Among the subcategories, negative feeling (2.491.26) was the highest. Physical activity levels were coded as inactive, minimal activity and health enhancing physical activity, among which minimal activity (53.0%) was the highest. Significant differences in PMS were observed according to subjective health condition (F=10.83, p<.001), alcohol intake (t=-1.99, p=.048), caffeine intake (F=3.04, p=.029), dietary habit (F=4.78, p=.009), amount of menstruation (F=4.57, p=.011), discomfort in daily life (F=28.94, p<.001), degree of menstrual pain (F=41.23, p<.001), method of menstrual pain relief (F=4.29, p=.015), and family history (F=11.45, p<.001). Significant difference in PMS was observed according to the physical activity level (F=3.12, p=.046), and health enhancing physical activity (2.540.87) was the highest. Conclusion: These findings suggest that PMS intervention programs would be considered factors related to PMS. Conduct of further studies is recommended for evaluation of the relationship between physical activity and PMS.
