This paper presents an image analysis method for mearurement correction using the object contour based analysis, which measure the shape features of the imitation missile object. The image analysis is divided into object's tilting angle analysis and corner points detection. The tilting angle is calculated by edge extracting the region-of-interest image and by Radon transform it. The corner points are obtained by contour tracking of binary image and its curvature data processing and analysis. The ability of this presented method is simulated and evaluated by the results of accuracy testing.

Recently, image analysis research has been actively conducted due to the accumulation of big image data and the development of deep learning. Image analytics research has different characteristics from other data such as data size, real-time, image quality diversity, structural complexity, and security issues. In addition, a large amount of data is required to effectively analyze images with deep-learning models. However, in many fields, the data that can be collected is limited, so there is a need for meta learning based image analysis technology that can effectively train models with a small amount of data. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of meta-learning-based object-tracking techniques. This approach comprehensively explores object tracking methods and research that can achieve high performance in data-limited situations, including key challenges and future directions. It provides useful information for researchers in the field and can provide insights into future research directions.

Video based object tracking normally deals with non-stationary image streams that change over time. Robust and real time moving object tracking is considered to be a problematic issue in computer vision. Multiple object tracking has many practical applications in scene analysis for automated surveillance. In this paper, we introduce a specified object tracking based particle filter used in an environment of multiple moving objects. A differential image region based tracking method for the detection of multiple moving objects is used. In order to ensure accurate object detection in an unconstrained environment, a background image update method is used. In addition, there exist problems in tracking a particular object through a video sequence, which cannot rely only on image processing techniques. For this, a probabilistic framework is used. Our proposed particle filter has been proved to be robust in dealing with nonlinear and non-Gaussian problems. The particle filter provides a robust object tracking framework under ambiguity conditions and greatly improves the estimation accuracy for complicated tracking problems.

We introduce a vision-based object detection method for real-time video surveillance system in low-end edge computing environments. Recently, the accuracy of object detection has been improved due to the performance of approaches based on deep learning algorithm such as Region Convolutional Neural Network(R-CNN) which has two stage for inferencing. On the other hand, one stage detection algorithms such as single-shot detection (SSD) and you only look once (YOLO) have been developed at the expense of some accuracy and can be used for real-time systems. However, high-performance hardware such as General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Unit(GPGPU) is required to still achieve excellent object detection performance and speed. To address hardware requirement that is burdensome to low-end edge computing environments, We propose sub-frame analysis method for the object detection. In specific, We divide a whole image frame into smaller ones then inference them on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based image detection network, which is much faster than conventional network designed forfull frame image. We reduced its computationalrequirementsignificantly without losing throughput and object detection accuracy with the proposed method.
Compared with other features of the image, color features are less sensitive to noise and background complication. Besides, this adding to object segmentation has more accuracy of image retrieval. This paper presents object segmentation and HAQ(Histogram Analysis and Quantization) algorithm approach to extract features(the object information and the characteristic colors) of an image. The empirical results shows that this method presents exactly spatial and color information of an image as image retrieval's feature.

In this paper, we proposed a method extracting an object from background of the satellite image. The image segmentation techniques have been widely studied for the technology to segment image and to synthesis segment object with other images. Proposed algorithm is to perform the edge detection of a selected object using genetic algorithm. We segment region of object based on detection edge using watershed algorithm. We separated background and object in indefinite region using gradual region merge from segment object. And, we make GUI for the application of the proposed algorithm to various tests. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, several analysis on the satellite images are performed.

The construction industry is suffering from aging workers, frequent accidents, as well as low productivity. With the rapid development of information technologies in recent years, automatic construction, especially automatic cranes, is regarded as a promising solution for the above problems and attracting more and more attention. However, in practice, limited by the complexity and dynamics of construction environment, manual inspection which is time-consuming and error-prone is still the only way to recognize the search object for the operation of crane. To solve this problem, an image-processing-based automated object recognition approach is proposed in this paper, which is a fusion of Convolutional-Neutral-Network (CNN)-based and traditional object detections. The search object is firstly extracted from the background by the trained Faster R-CNN. And then through a series of image processing including Canny, Hough and Endpoints clustering analysis, the vertices of the search object can be determined to locate it in 3D space uniquely. Finally, the features (e.g., centroid coordinate, size, and color) of the search object are extracted for further recognition. The approach presented in this paper was implemented in OpenCV, and the prototype was written in Microsoft Visual C++. This proposed approach shows great potential for the automatic operation of crane. Further researches and more extensive field experiments will follow in the future.
At present, GEOBIA (Geographic Object-based Image Analysis), heir of OBIA (Object-based Image Analysis), is regarded as an important methodology by object-oriented paradigm for remote sensing, dealing with geo-objects related to image segmentation and classification in the different view point of pixel-based processing. This also helps to directly link to GIS applications. Thus, GEOBIA software is on the booming. The main theme of this study is to look into the applicability of geo-spatial processing open source to GEOBIA. However, there is no few fully featured open source for GEOBIA which needs complicated schemes and algorithms, till It was carried out to implement a preliminary system for GEOBIA running an integrated and user-oriented environment. This work was performed by using various open sources such as OTB or PostgreSQL/PostGIS. Some points are different from the widely-used proprietary GEOBIA software. In this system, geo-objects are not file-based ones, but tightly linked with GIS layers in spatial database management system. The mean shift algorithm with parameters associated with spatial similarities or homogeneities is used for image segmentation. For classification process in this work, tree-based model of hierarchical network composing parent and child nodes is implemented by attribute join in the semi-automatic mode, unlike traditional image-based classification. Of course, this integrated GEOBIA system is on the progressing stage, and further works are necessary. It is expected that this approach helps to develop and to extend new applications such as urban mapping or change detection linked to GIS data sets using GEOBIA.
In this paper, a object detection and tracking algorithm is presented which exhibits robust properties for image sequences with complex background. The proposed algorithm is composed of three parts: moving object detection, object tracking, and motion analysis. The moving object detection algorithm is implemented using a temporal median background method which is suitable for real-time applications. In the motion analysis, we propose a new technique for removing a temporal clutter, such as a swaying plant or a light reflection of a background object. In addition, we design a multiple vehicle tracking system based on Kalman filtering. Computer simulation of the proposed scheme shows its robustness for MPEG-7 test image sequences.
