To date, there has been no employment of a magnetoelastic (ME) biosensor method to detect Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium in soil. The ME biosensor method needs to be investigated and modified for its successful performance. The filtration method, cation-exchange resin method, and combinations of both methods were employed for the extraction of S. Typhimurium from soil. The number of S. Typhimurium and the resonant frequency shift of the ME sensor were then compared using a brilliant green sulfa agar plate and an HP 8751A network analyzer. A blocking study was performed using bovine serum albumin (BSA), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and casein powder suspension. Finally, the modified ME biosensor method was performed to detect S. Typhimurium in soil. The number of S. Typhimurium was significantly decreased from 7.10 log CFU/soil to 4.45-4.72 log CFU/soil after introduction of the cation-exchange resin method. The greatest resonant frequency shift of the measurement sensor was found when employing centrifugation and filtration procedures. The resonant frequency shift of the PEG-blocked measurement sensor was $3,219{\pm}755Hz$, which was significantly greater than those of the BSA- and casein-blocked ME sensor. The optimum concentration of PEG was determined to be 1.0 mg/ml after considering the resonant shift and economic issue. Finally, the modified ME biosensor method was able to detect S. Typhimurium in soil in a dose-response manner. Although these modifications of the ME biosensor method sacrificed some advantages, such as cost, time effectiveness, and operator friendliness, this study demonstrated a novel approach of the ME biosensor method to detect S. Typhimurium in soil.

AVIs on the road are installed for (1) security (2) and for traffic, and they are various managed by (1) police department, (2) local government, (3) national highway management, (4) Korean highway corporation. But although the collected data of the plate number, the travel time, the picture of the car are same, they are used in purposes of its installation because the managements are different and the data are difficult to be connected with each other. For this reason, this study is to appraise the application for creating traffic information by integrating these data, and to suggest the introduction of spatial detection system which integrated security-traffic AVI DB for the purpose of reliability improvement of center's velocity. The estimating sections of link travel information seems to be expanded, and the error rate between the center's velocity and the experimental value will be reduced if integrated DB of traffic and security AVIs is used for creating traffic information. Also, the crime prevention and arrest rate is expected to rise in the future.

Gummy stem blight, caused by Didymella bryoniae occurs exclusively on cucurbits. This fungus has been known not to produce its pycnidium in vitro unless irradiated. Through this study, we optimized cultural conditions for mass-production of pycnidiospore by Metal Halide Lamp irradiation. In brief, the mycelial was cultured at $26^{\circ}C$ on PDA, for 2 days under the darkness, and then the plate was illuminated with MH lamp continuously for 3-4 days at $26^{\circ}C$, a great number of pycnidia was simultaneously formed. Thus produced pycnidiospores were used as immunogen. From fusions of myeloma cell (v-653) with splenocytes from immunifed mice were car ried out. And, two hybridoma cell lines that recognized the immunogen Didymella bryoniae were obtained. One Monoclonal Antibody, Db1, recognized the supernatant and the other monoclonal antibody, Db15, recognized the spore. Two clones were selected which were used to produce ascite fluid two MAb Db1 and Db15, were immunotyped and identified as IgG1 and IgG2b, respectively. Titer of MAb Db1 and MAb Db15 was measured absorbance exceeded 0.5 even at a $10^{-5}$ dilution. The MAbs reacted positively with Didymella bryoniae but none reacted with other of fungi and CMV, CGMMV Sensitivity of MAb was precise enough to detect spore concentration as low as $10^{3}$ well by indirect ELISA characterization of the MAb Db1, Db15 antigen by heat and protease treatments show that the epitope recognized by the MAb Bb1, Db15 were a glycoprotein.

This paper describes system to extract ISO codes in container image. A container ISO code recognition system for real-time processing is made of 5 core parts which are container ISO code detection and image acquisition, ISO code region extraction, individual character extraction, character recognition and database. Among them, the accuracy of ISO code extraction can affect significantly the accuracy of system recognition rate, and also the more exact extraction of ISO code is required in various weather and environment conditions. The proposed system produces binary of the ISO code's template lesions using an adaptive thresholding, extracts candidate regions containing distribution of ISO code, and recognizes ISO codes as detecting a final region through the verifications by using character distribution characteristics of ISO code among the extracted candidates. Experimental results reveal that ISO codes can be efficiently extracted by the proposed method.

In this study, cultural conditions for the mass-production of pycnidiospore by Metal Halide (MH) lamp irradiation were maximized. Results show that a great number of pycnidia were simultaneously formed. The pycnidiospores produced were then used as immunogen. Fusions of myeloma cell (v-653) with splenocytes from immunized mice were carried out. Two hybridoma cell lines that recognized the immunogen D. bryoniae were obtained. One monoclonal antibody (MAb), Dbl, recognized the supernatant while another MAb, Db15, recognized the spore. Two clones were selected which were used to produce ascite fluid of the two MAb, Dbl and Db15, the immunotypes of which were identified as IgG1 and IgG2b, respectively. Titers of MAb Dbl and MAb Db15 were measured and the absorbance exceeded 0.5 even at a $10^{-5}$ dilution. The MAbs reacted positively with D. bryoniae but none reacted with other viral isolates, Cucumber mosaic virus and Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus. Sensitivity of MAb was precise enough to detect spore concentration as low as $10^{-3}$/well by indirect ELISA. Characterization of the MAbs Dbl, Db15 antigen by heat and protease treatments, which suggests that the epitope recognized by these two MAbs was glycoprotein.
Commercial soybean oil, which did not contain any antioxidant, were autoxidized at $60{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ for 79 days, and the changes of peroxide value(POV), thiobarbituric acid value(TBAV), conjugated dienoic acid(CDA) content, and fatty acid composition of the oil were studied during the 79 day-storage period. The samples with POV S of 0, 150, 300, 500, 450, 400 and 300 meq./kg oil were used for the test of mutagenic activity. The Ames test was carried out with and without metabolic activation. Bacterial strains used in this study were the histidine auxotrophic strains of S. typhimurium TA100, TA1535, and TA102 for the detection of base pair, and TA98 and TA1537 for frame shift mutations. Each series of samples was disso1ved in tetrahydrofuran(inhibitor free) and tested at doses ranging from 0.05 to 5 mg/plate. The autoxidized soybean oil increased significantly(p<0.05) the number of $His^+$ revertant colonies in cases of TA 98 with S9 mix, TA100 without S9 mix, 1535 and 1537 with and without S9, respectively. The samples having the highest peroxide values showed the strongest mutagenicity. It seemed that the amount of hydroperoxides in the oils was closely related to the mutagenic activity of the respective oils.

Drowsy driving requires a lot of social attention because it increases the incidence of traffic accidents and leads to fatal accidents. The number of accidents caused by drowsy driving is increasing every year. Therefore, in order to solve this problem all over the world, research for measuring various biosignals is being conducted. Among them, this paper focuses on non-contact biosignal analysis. Various noises such as engine, tire, and body vibrations are generated in a running vehicle. To measure the driver's heart rate and respiration rate in a driving vehicle with a piezoelectric sensor, a sensor plate that can cushion vehicle vibrations was designed and noise generated from the vehicle was reduced. In addition, we developed a system for classifying whether the driver is sleeping or not by extracting the model using the CNN-LSTM ensemble learning technique based on the signal of the piezoelectric sensor. In order to learn the sleep state, the subject's biosignals were acquired every 30 seconds, and 797 pieces of data were comparatively analyzed.
Recently, the demand for the powdered products to process raw grains and vegetables has been expanded, and the growth possibility of their fields(markets) in the future will be highly valued with the westernization of living environment and the change of the dietary life. We have bought and analyzed the 111 products of raw grains and vegetables from the large-sized marts, markets and internet orders from March to October 2006. The rate of moisture content was $1.7{\sim}12.5%$. We also found out that the foods over 10% moisture content was 8 of those samples we bought or collected. Their ash rates were averagely $0.3{\sim}8.6%$. The number of those foods that the alien substances were detected was 2. The tar pigments, artificial sweeteners and sulfur dioxides of components that contained food additives were not detected. Each detection range of Cadmium, Lead and Arsenic of the injurious heavy metals was non-detectable $(nd){\sim}0.55,\;nd{\sim}4.52,\;nd{\sim}0.10mg/kg$, while the average detection content were 0.08, 0.48, 0.01 mg/kg. By investigating the contamination degree of the microflora, we discovered that the number of the aerobic plate count, B. cereus over 1,000 cfu/g and C. perfringens over 100 cfu/g was 36 (32.4%), 9 (8.1%) and zero, and that the whole sanitation condition of the products of powdered raw grains and vegetables circulated in the market was not so good.
It is well known that the application of dressings after periodontal surgery have benefits to provide the comforts to patient and to promote the healing process with action of bleeding control and temporary stabilization for the operated mobile teeth. But until recently the relationship between periodontal dressings and cells which are composed of periodontium has not been clear. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of soluble extracts from the four different kinds of periodontal dressings, two of them were eugenol type (K.H.pack, Wondrpak) and the others were non-eugenol type (Coe-pak, Periocare), on the human gingival fibroblasts in vitro. Human gingival fibroblasts were primarily cultured from gingiva around third molar during the extraction for preventive purposes. Extracts solution were prepared with culture medium by means of imersing the consistent size of periodontal dressing made from plastic mold. Cell were inoculated into the 24 well plate with $3\;{\times}\;10^4\;cells/well$ of medium at $37\;^{\circ}C$, 100% of humidity, 5% of $CO_2$, incubator for 24 hours. After discard of the supernatant of medium, those cells were cultured with original, 1/2, 1/5, 1/10 diluted soluble extract for 24, 48 and 72 hours, and counted the number of cells using the hemocytometer at each designed time and concentration. Also, the cytotoxic effect of soluble extract was measured by Wataha's MTT assay method. In briefly, cells were inoculated and cultured into 96 well culture plate with $2\;{\times}\;10^4\;cells/well$ for 24 hours. Soluble extracts were applied to cultured cells and incubated for 48 hours at same condition. $50\;{\mu}l$ of MTT solution and DMSO were added into each well for the detection of absorbance with ELISA reader. The measured data were calculated by value of colorimetric assay for survival rate. The results were as follows ; In the case of eugenol type of dressing, original, 1/2 and 1/5 diluted extracts of K.H.pack showed very low survival rate. And original extract of Wondrpak showed strong cytotoxic effect and 1/2 diluted extract showed moderate cytotoxic effect. In the case of Non-eugenol type of dressings, only original extract of Coe-pak revealed strong cytotoxic effect and Periocare had little cytotoxic effect. It is concluded that eugenol type of dressings showed more cytotoxic effect than non-eugenol types. This study suggest that use of non-eugenol dressings after periodontal surgery is recommended.
This study aims to determine that the test of medicines containing oxiracetam as their main ingredient was properly performed according to protocol. Furthermore, the study is to provide the written form of protocol in order to examine the validity of the HPLC analytical method for the quantitative analysis of oxiracetam in the finished products. In this experiment, system suitability, precision, linearity, range, accuracy, specificity, quantitative limit, and detection limit of the analytical method which was used to determine the contained quality of oxiracetam, were examined. The result shows that system suitability indicates 0.127% RSD, plate number 15081, tailing factor 0.49, and resolution 32.41. The experiment of precision reveals the result of below 0.359% for repetitiveness and among the subjects. In the linearity experiment, a coefficient of correlation ($R^2$) indicates that it is 1. The accuracy experiment satisfies the standards of the recovery test, which is minimum 98.4% and maximum 99.6%. Detection limit is 0.1 mg/L and quantitative limit was found to be 0.5 mg/L. The experiment to check the specificity also satisfies the standards, so the finished product using oxiracetam as the main ingredient is verified as suitable.
