A Study on Gamers' Game Acts and Play Time (게이머의 게임 행위와 시간에 대한 연구)

  • This paper presents an investigation into time in games. Many researchers have studied time in games including Jesper Juul (2004), arranging time in games according to the criterion of the concept of time in reality. Most of this research distinguishes internal time from external time in games. The present study, thus, examined internal time in games from the viewpoint of the observer, believing that the most important element of the game was gameness or play and further experience rather than the relationship between reality and games. Thus, the investigator classified internal time in games into "oriented time" and "non-oriented time" and examined the operations of those time classifications in the gamers' experiences.

  • The object-oriented(00) distributed real-time(RT) programming movement started in1990's and is growing rapidly at this turn of the century. Distributed real-time simulation is a field in its infancy but it is bounded to receive steadily growing recognition for its importance and wide applicability. The scheme is called the distributed time-triggered simulation scheme which is conceptually simple and easy to use but widely applicable. A new generation object oriented(00) RT programming scheme is called the time-triggered message triggered object(TMO)programming scheme and it is used to make specific illustrations of the issues. The TMO structuring scheme is a general-style components structuring scheme and supports design of all types of component including hard real time objects and non real time objects within one general structure.

  • Toward the development of practical methods for observed data oriented bispectral estimation, an automatic means for determining the smoothing bandwidth of bispectral windows is proposed, that can also provide an associated optimum bispectral estimate of stationary non-Gaussian signals, systematically only from an observed time series datum of finite length. For the conventional non-parametric bispectral estimation, the MSE (mean squared error) of the normalized estimate is reviewed under a certain mixing condition and sufficient data length, mainly from the viewpoint of the inverse relation between its bias and variance with respect to the smoothing bandwidth. Based on the fundamental relation, a systematic method not only for determining the bandwidth, but also for obtaining the optimum bispectral estimate is presented by newly introducing a MSE evaluation index of the estimate only from an observed time series datum of finite length. The effectiveness and fundamental features of the proposed method are illustrated by the basic results of numerical experiments.

  • Rapid economic development has led seafood consumption to its quality - oriented pattern as well as consumer's in China. This study concerns about The First, China is Seafood development background. The Second, China become emboldened seafood causes. The third, seafood consumption has characteristic. The fourth, seafood consumption has the organization of society. The study shows that there are economic developmental periods Chinas has three time. The First time$(1961\sim1983)$ is rapid growth. The Second time$(1984\sim1998)$ is growth accumulate. The third time$(1999\sim)$ is changing on seafood consumption as the consumption of seafood is changed according to economic variables changes in income, price, tastes and population. This changing pattern of seafood consumption is based on economic variables appears toward luxury and convenience seafoods. Consumption of food is also affected by non - economic variables.   • This study examines the effects of social network support types on the subjective satisfaction of life for elderly people focused on the impact of voluntary and present oriented social network type represented by hobby club vs. non voluntary and past oriented social network type for example alumni association in Korean society respectively. According to the advanced studies figured out by preceding researchers, most of social networks had a good and positive effects on the elderly people's subjective satisfaction of life. However, this study tried to classify the social networks by type such as starting time to make relationship among members and voluntary or non voluntary for participation to the networks. As a result of this study, voluntary and present oriented social network represented by hobby club has a very positive relationship with Korean elderly people's subjective satisfaction of life while non voluntary and past oriented social network as alumni association has no relationship with elderly people's subjective satisfaction of life. Therefore, government policies and budget should be concentrated on encouraging or supporting voluntary and present oriented social networks such as hobby club, voluntary agency etc. rather than non voluntary and past oriented social networks so as to maximize the effect for increasing Korean elderly people's subjective satisfaction of life.

  • In this paper, we deal with the problem of modeling of agent-based robot manufacturing cell. Its role is becoming increasingly important in automated manufacturing systems. For Object Oriented & Queueing Petri Nets (OO&QPNs), an extended formalism for the combined quantitative and qualitative analysis of different systems is used for structure and performance analysis of mobile robotic cell. In the case study, the OO&QPN model of a mobile robotic cell is represented and analyzed, considering multi-class parts, non-preemptive priority and alternative routing. Finally, the comparison of performance values between Shortest Process Time (SPT) rule and First Come First Serve (FCFS) rule is suggested. In general, SPT rule is most suitable for parts that have shorter processing time than others.

  • This study evaluated the types of daily routines that occurred in child care centers based on four general categorizations: time spent on indoor free choice activities, outdoor activities, group activities and special activities. In addition, resulting child care teacher behaviors were examined based on daily routine types. A total 23 classes' activity times and teacher behaviors were observed. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, hierarchical cluster, and Mann-Whitney U. Results indicated that there were 2 principle daily routine, 'indoor/outdoor activity time oriented' and 'group activity time oriented'. Analysis showed that teachers who belonged to the 'indoor/outdoor activity time oriented' type showed more positive affect, positive guidance, neural guidance, and less non-involved behavior. Results suggest the importance of time spent on free choice activities in the context of daily routine for quality childcare.
