A Study on the Establishments of Aircraft Noise Abatement Procedures in Gimpo International Airport (김포공항 항공기 저소음 운항절차 수립을 위한 연구(II))

  • The final purpose of this study is to develop noise abatement procedures for minimizing the environmental impacts caused by aircraft noise in the vicinity of Gimpo Int'l Airport, and to establish appropriate noise limits and monitoring system. The results of study was suggests for more detail the crucial factors which one is reference noise level, $L_{MAX}=88 dB(A)$ at 6.5 km after take-off, and second one is to installation the additional three(3) noise monitoring system on both side of runway.

  • ISO 11342 classifies flexible rotors in accordance with their balancing requirements and establishes methods of assessment of residual unbalance. This International Standard also shows how criteria for use in the balancing facility may be derived from either vibration limits specified for the assembled and installed machine or unbalance limits specified for the rotor. If such limits are not available, this standard shows how they may be derived from ISO 10816 and ISO 7919 if desired in terms of vibration, or from ISO 1940- 1 if desired in terms of permissible residual balance. This International Standard also presents methods for adapting the criteria of ISO 1940- 1 to flexible rotors.

  • In design stage of high precision manufacture/inspection FAB building, it is necessary to investigate the vibration allowable limits of high precision equipment and to study a structure dynamic characteristics of C/R and Sub-structure in order to provide a structure vibration environment to satisfy thess allowable limits. The aim of this study is to investigate the dynamic characteristics of PC-Type mock-up structures designed for next TFT LCD FAB through vibration measurement and analysis procedure, therefore, to provide a proper dynamic structure design for high precision manufacture/inspection work process, which satisfy thess allowable limits.

  • This paper is to provide the basic way of a acoustical evaluation and efficient control noise by investigating the limits of perceptual loudness of living environment and by finding out any correlation between Physical characteristics of noise and psychoacoustic parameters. The limits of perceptual loudness were selected by the subjects in a chamber for residential and working environment. And the noise sources were analyzed to find out whether there is any correlation with Zwicker parameters and ACF factors. In this study especially, to set up the domestic evaluation grade about floor impact noise. we'd like to suggest the loudness Perception research result as fundamental resource for setting up the evaluation grade through the result that is based on annoyance. In the result of this research, upper limit of heavy-weight impact noise was L-60, and lower limit of it was L-50. On the other hand, upper limit of light-weight impact noise was L-70, and lower limit of it was L-55. It seemed that the loudness of noise from vacuum cleaner noise does not affect its perceived noisiness. Noises implicated In human such as floor walking noise and talking sound, are the most irritating noise in office environment.

A Study on the Indoor Noise Limits of Apartment Houses from the Road Traffic Noise (도로교통소음에 대한 공동주택 내부소음 기준설정에 관한 연구)

  • The indoor noise limit for road traffic noises is needed to secure comfortable acoustical quality in apartment houses. To achieve this goal, psycho-acoustic experiments were carried out with road traffic noise sources modulated by the transmission loss characteristics of the external windows. Finally, a correlation analysis between noise rating index and subjective responses, and an analysis of satisfactory percentage of the dose-response curves varied with respondents was conducted. As a result of this study, followings are suggested. (1) On correlation between dose level and psycho-acoustical response, the initial level of negative feeling is located on $40.1\~40.6\;L_{eq}$ dB(A), (2) On the degree of satisfaction to road traffic noise. near $35\;\%$ point being same dissatisfaction degree is to be assumed $40\~41$ dB(A) of indoor noise level presented into three vocabulary. It is suggested to be reasonable level of 40 dB(A) on the indoor noise limits for intruding road traffic noise. and it is appropriate to be the 5 dB level difference between grades. The results of this study may be used to evaluate the acoustic threshold level for road traffic noise or as a basis for specifying the desired acoustic environment of dwellings.

  • Automakers have been forcing their suppliers to guarantee qualities of parts. Then, the suppliers have met the fundamental quality requirements such as dimensions and functions, but they could not sufficiently satisfy the automakers' noise requirements yet because automatic noise inspection systems were little successfully adopted In mass-production lines. This study tried to develop a system for automatically checking noise radiated from a rotating engine part and filtering parts emitting noise higher than criteria: the upper limits of a overall noise level or a noise spectrum. A commercial noise measurement system was used for measuring noise, and then the noise data was transmitted to a governing program through OLE(object, linking and embedding) functions. The governing program, belonging to a total noise inspection system managed the noise measurement and analysis. This system was successfully adapted for distinguishing bad parts according to the noise criteria.

  • This paper describes the methodology for environmental assessments of traffic noise sources. An attempt is made to establish evaluation scale relationships between noise quality Parameters and subjective degrees annoyance. Subjective experimental was conducted to determine the subjective degrees annoyance that scaling score compare with reference and varieties noise source about modified traffic noises with $40{\sim}85dB$. Also a correlation analysis between noise rating index and satisfactory percentage of the noise dose response curves varied with response was conducted. As a result of study, subjective annoyance degree has not correlation of proportional linearity to the A weight noise level, but has correlation of proportional linearity to the index composed to loudness and tonality. It is suggested to be resonable level 4.9 (equivalence about 53dB) index on the out door noise limits for traffic noise and to be 6 step scale base on the linearity for evaluation traffic noise.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the noise abatement procedures in Kimhae International Airport and also make noise limit and methods to monitor and detect an aircraft flying over Kimhae airport. First of all, noise monitoring system(NMS) should be set up, have a test and noise limit will be adjusted afterwards. Before applying Noise Abatement Procederes and noise limit, the amendment of Aviation Law 'article 108' required to proceed. The accumulative data and long term process of NMS will proceed and it is necessary to issue a notification of noise limit in phases.

A Study on Perceptual Evaluation of Noise Sources in Living Environment (생활소음의 감성적 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The subjective unwantedness felt from the noise sources in living environment has been evaluated by investigating the limit of perceptual loudness of the noise. The noise limits were selected by the subjects. And the noises were analyzed to find out whether there is any correlation with Zwicker parameters and ACF/IACF factors. It seemed that the loudness of noise from vacuum cleaner does not affect its perceives noisiness. Traffic noise also seems to be less influential in annoyance rating. It was resealed that floor impact noise generated by bang machine is the most irritating noise that can be heard in residential buildings.

  • The monitoring efficiency of the aircraft noise monitoring stations is decided to the reference noise level and the infringement of each monitoring stations. We are calculate the monitoring efficiency of three noise monitoring stations among twelve in the vicinity of Gimpo Int'l Airport. As a result, the monitoring efficiency shows that the noise monitoring stations #3,#5 and #6 are 14.3%, 18.5% and 29.3% respectively, #6 which is underneath the flight track is higher efficiency than another two stations.
