  • Random Telegraph Signal(RTS)에 의한 1/f 잡음이 CMOS Ring Oscillator의 Phase Noise와 Jitter에 미치는 영향을 조사한다. 7단 Ring Oscillator의 각 노드에 병렬 연결된 10개의 Piece-Wise-Linear 전류원이 RTS 신호를 모델링 한다. RTS 전류원의 진폭과 Time Constant를 변화시키면서 Ring Oscillator 출력의 FFT 및 전력 스팩트럼 밀도, Jitter를 관찰한다. RTS 전류원의 진폭은 Phase Noise의 폭을 증가시키고 결과적으로 Jitter의 크기도 증가 시키는 것이 확인 되었다. 그리고 RTS Time Constant가 짧아질수록 출력 신호의 FFT peak의 폭이 커지고 Cycle to Cycle Jitter 값이 증가하였다.

수박 시설 재배에서 정식 전 심경로타리 처리가 토양 이화학성, 생육 및 과실 특성에 미쳐는 영향 (Effects of Deep Tillage before Planting on Physicochemical Properties of Soil, Growth and Fruit Characteristics in Cultivation of Watermelon under Plastic Film House)

  • 본 연구는 전북 고창의 수박 시설 농기에서 '우리꿀'을 대상으로 토양의 이화학성, 생육 및 과실품질에 대한 정식 전 심경로타리 처리의 효과를 알아보고자 수행하였다. 정식 전에 비해 재배 및 수확 후 토양 pH 변화는 거의 없었으나 토양 EC는 크게 떨어졌다. 유기물 및 유효인산 함량은 두 처리 모두에서 증가하였는데, 유효인산의 누적 함량이 심경로타리 처리구에서 적었다. 치환성 양이온도 Mg을 제외하고는 모두 감소한 경향이었는데 심경로타리 처리구에서 K의 감소가 뚜렷하였다. 수박의 정식 후 27일째 생육 특성 중 일반로타리 처리구에 비해 심경로타리 처리구에서 초장, 10절까지의 줄기 길이, 엽폭에서 유의하게 길었고, 1번 및 2번화의착과 절위가 낮았다. 그리고 육안 관찰 시 식물체 위조 증상 정도이 적었다. 수확기에는 일반로타리 처리구에 비해 심경로타리 처리구에서 30절까지의 줄기 길이가 유의하게 길었고, 육안 관찰 시 잎의 황변 현상이 적었다. 수확된 과실의 길이, 직경, 과피경도, 그리고 무게는 심경로타리 처리구에서 유의하게 높았다.

  • Restorative procedures can lead to weakening tooth due to reduction and alteration of tooth structure. It is essential to prevent fractures to conserve tooth. Among the several parameters in cavity designs, cavity isthmus is very important. In this study, amalgam 0 cavity was prepared on maxillary first premolar. Two dimensional finite element models were made by serial photographic method and isthmus(1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 of intercuspal distance) were varied. Three or four-nodal mesh were used for the two dimensional finite element models. The periodontal ligament and alveolar bone surrounding the tooth were excluded in these models. 1S model was sound tooth with no amalgam cavity. B model was assumed perfect bonding between the restoration and cavity wall. Both compressive and tensile forces were distributed directly to the adjacent regions. A load of 500N was applied vertically at the first node from the lingual slope of the buccal cusp tip. This study analysed von Mises stress, 1 and 2 directional normal stress and Y and Z axis translation with FEM software Super SAPII Version 5.2 (Algor Interactive System Co.) and hardware 486 DX2 PC. The results were as :follows : 1. 1S model was slightly different with 1B model in stress distibution. 1S, 2B, 3B, 4B models showed similiar stress distribution. 2. 1S model and four B models showed similiar pattern in Y axis and Z axis translation. 3. 1S model and four B models showed the bending phenomenon in the translation. 4. As increasing of the width of the cavity, experimental group was similiar with the control group in stress distribution. 5. As increasing of the width of the cavity, experimental group was similiar with the control group in Y and Z axis tranlation.

CAD/CAM 세라믹 인레이로 수복한 치아의 응력분포에 관한 유한요소법적 연구 (FINITE ELEMENT STRESS ANALYSIS OF A TOOTH RESTORED WITH CAD/CAM CERAMIC INLAY)

  • When restoring a tooth, the dentist tries to choose the ideal material for existing situation. One criterion that is considered is its suitability for restoring coronal strength. As more tooth structure is removed, the cusps are weakened and susceptible to fracture. Further, this increased deformation may cause the formation of intermittent gaps at the margin between the hard tissue and the restoration, facilitating marginal leakage. The improvements in ceramic materials now make it possible for alternatives to amalgams, composites, and cast metal to be of offered for posterior teeth. Of the materials used, ceramics most closely approximates the properties of enamel. The introduction of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacture(CAD/CAM) systems to restorative dentistry represents a major technological breakthrough. It is possible to design and fabricate ceramic restorations at a single appointment. Additionally, CAD/CAM systems eliminate certain errors and inaccuracies that are inherent to the indirect method and provide an esthetic restoration. The aim of this investigation was to study the loading characteristics of CAD/CAM ceramic inlay and to compare the stress distribution and displacement associated with different designs of cavity(the isthmus width and cavity depth). A human maxillary left first premolar was prepared with standard mesio-occlusal cavity preparation, as recommended by the manufacturer Ceramic inlay was fabricated with CEREC 2 CAD/CIM equipment and cemented into the prepared cavity. Three dimensional model was made by the serial photographic method. The cavity width was varied $\frac{1}{3}$, $\frac{1}{2}$ and $\frac{2}{3}$ of intercuspal distance between buccal and lingual cusp tip. The cavity depth was varied 1.5mm and 2.3mm. So six models were constructed to simulate six conditions. A point load of 500N was applied vertically onto the first node of the lingual slope from the buccal cusp tip. The stress distribution and displacement were solved using ANSYS finite element program(Swanson Analysis System). (omitted)

  • In this paper, PMPG (Piezoelectric Micro Power Generator) was investigated by ANSYS FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to decrease operating frequency and improve out power. The micro power generator was designed to convert ambient vibration energy to electrical power as a ZnO piezoelectric material. To find optimal model in low vibration ambient, the shape of power generator was changed with different membrane width, thickness, length, and proof mass size. Used the ANSYS modal analysis, bending mode and stress distribution of optimal model were analyzed. Also, the displacement with the frequency range was analyzed by harmonic analysis. From the simulation results, the resonance frequency of optimal model is about 373 Hz and confirmed the possibility of ZnO micro power generator for wireless sensor node applications.

  • In this paper, we propose the bus coding technique for low power consumption. For CMOS circuit most power is dissipated as dynamic power for charging and discharging node capacitances.Though the I/O and bus are likely to have the very large capacitances associated with them and dissipate much of the power dissipated by an IC, they have little beenthe special target for power reduction. The conventional Bus-Invert coding method can't decrease the peak power dissipation by 50% because the additional invert signal line can invoke a transition at the time when Bus-Invert coding isn't used to code original bus data. The proposed technique always constraints the Hamming distance between data transferred sequentially to be below the half of the bus width, and thus decrease the I/O peak power dissipation and the I/O average power dissipation.

벌크 FinFET의 기술 동향 및 이슈 (Trend and issues of the bulk FinFET)

  • FinFETs are able to be scaled down to 22 nm and beyond while suppressing effectively short channel effect, and have superior performance compared to 2-dimensional (2-D) MOSFETs. Bulk FinFETs are built on bulk Si wafers which have less defect density and lower cost than SOI(Silicon-On-Insulator) wafers. In contrast to SOI FinFETs, bulk FinFETs have no floating body effect and better heat transfer rate to the substrate while keeping nearly the same scalability. The bulk FinFET has been developed at 14 nm technology node, and applied in mass production of AP and CPU since 2015. In the development of the bulk FinFETs at 10 nm and beyond, self-heating effects (SHE) is becoming important. Accurate control of device geometry and threshold voltage between devices is also important. The random telegraph noise (RTN) would be problematic in scaled FinFET which has narrow fin width and small fin height.

  • A neural network-based PSRI(position, scale, and rotation invariant) feature extraction and ATR (automatic target recognition) system are proposed and an efficient parallel implementatio of the proposed system using multicomputer is also presented. In the proposed system, the scale and rotationinvariant features are extracted from the contour projection of the number of edge pixels on each of the concentric circles, which is input t the cooperative network. We proposed how to decide the optimum depth and the width of the parallel pipeline system for real time applications by modeling the proposed system into a parallel pipeline implementation method using transputers is also proposed. The implementation results show that we can extract PSRI features less sensitive to input variations, and the speedup of the proposed ATR system is about 7.55 for the various rotated and scaled targets using 8-node transputer system.

A Practical Method of Prediction of Resistance for Displacement Vessels

  • The prediction of the total resistance of a ship is generally based on considering it to be a simple sum of the viscous resistance and the wave resistance. An experimental approach for predicting full-size ship resistance on this basis is practical but obviously has the deficiency that a model has to be built for each prototype of interest and the resulting tank tests are time consuming. On the other hand, purely theoretical calculations of the wave resistance, using, for example, the Michell theory, require relatively little computer time and give an excellent portrayal of the overall variation of the vessel resistance as a function of forward speed. Unfortunately, there are sufficient differences between this theory and the measured results to make this method impractical for design purposes. The proposal examined here is to use a data bank of experimental resistance results to modify the theoretical predictions. It is demonstrated that the technique will produce remarkably accurate resistance predictions and can take into account the effects of the water depth, any restriction of canal or river width, as well as the prismatic coefficient, and other geometric parameters.

  • The branch and bound techniques based on cut tree and eigenvector have been Introduced in the literature [1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 12]. These techniques are used as a basis to allocate departments to floors and then to fit departments with unchangeable dimensions into floors. Grouping algorithms to allocate departments to each floor are developed and branch and bound forms the basis of optimizing using the criteria of rectilinear distance. The proposed branch and bound technique, in theory, will provide the optimal solution on two dimensional layout. If the runs are time and/or node limited, the proposed method is a strong heuristic The technique is made further practical by the fact that the solution is constrained such that the rectangular shape dimensions length and width are fixed and a perfect fit is generated if a fit is possible. Computational results obtained by cut tree-based algorithm and eigenvector-based algorithm are shown when the number of floors are two or three and there is an elevator.
