  • For high end, large area displays, all current LC modes require some degree of optical compensation to improve the front of screen viewing experience. Currently most optical films are laminated to the outside of the LCD cell, between the glass and polariser. In this paper we wish to show how it is possible to integrate the compensating optical film within a VA mode LCD cell. The paper will describe the process of making the biaxial film through the process of in-situ photopolymerisation of an aligned film of reactive mesogens in the cholesteric phase using polarised UV light. The film can be made on the colour filter array side of the LCD panel. In addition the process of fabricating a VA mode LCD containing this film will be described and the performance of this module will be presented

  • Purpose - The business model is a method of creating corporate value, in existing "classification of business model", limitations and redundancy phenomena are applied when a new type flows in, and as consumer's purchasing decision of consumer behavior 5 steps. The classification schemes can be used for more accurate data analysis by proposing a new mapping technique in the fourth industry. Research design, data, and methodology - It was far more classified on the business model (BMS by BDS), and so on. Designing the new horizons of logistics, marketing, methodology by reclassifying these existing data to new useful data with the old methods, in order to analyze the areas where the problem has been raised for the point that the existing methods are not suitable configured. This will be applicable to the system of quaternary industry from the perspective of the buyer. Results - The mapping results of the consumer purchase decision were as follows, the 1st stage (interest) was 23.73%, 2nd stages (publicity) 33.90%, 3rd stages (sales) 13.56%, 4th stages (decision) 11.86%, 5th stages (repurchaser) 16.95%. This verified that "the business model can be classified through "BMS by BDS". Conclusions - This structural classification is the basis of logistics marketing in the 4th industry, and proposes a innovative and effective model of constructing theory.

  • The Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) recorded 2.9 trillion won deficit in the aftermath of the world financial crisis. KEPCO is trying to escape from the business crisis in every way; however, it is impossible to make huge profit by selling electricity alone. Overseas electrical utilities make profits by selling gas and heat along with electricity. However, it is difficult for KEPCO to enter the gas and the heat selling market because other public companies are already dealing with them. In this situation, improving the business is possible when KEPCO develops a new business model and creates added value using Korean advanced Power IT combined with electricity. This study shows a new business model using Power IT, based on a survey targeting managers in KEPCO branch office and electrical engineers in the field. We hope the new business model suggested in this study is adapted to the real field to create high value in the future.

  • Network brings new values to the business in rapid changes of business paradigm. While business reveals new business model, the business has kept making efforts to replace traditional business model to network environment in order to solve the problems of spaces and times. In this research, we emphasize necessity through case study that the traditional concept of customer should be related with the concept of business network. The finding of this research mainly focused on business, tries to use traits of network without changes of business model, is easy to trap in structural inertia. However, the targeted companies in the case study preferentially considered customer as subscriber. Consequently, they successfully changed their existing business model as well as their business relationships with other companies. Based on methods of "Value Curve" and "Customer Experience Cycle," we analyzed the changed business model and proposed a conceptual idea regarding concept shifting from traditional customer to network subscriber. We hope that the research implicates to propose a new method for business model to develop more advanced business opportunities through using the concept of network subscriber.

  • To determine the effect of employment stability by business incubator manager on the service level and management performance by new businesses, the survey of 215 businesses at 50 business incubator centers over the country was conducted. This study is to confirm that employment stability by business incubator manager is one of significant variables to support growth of new businesses. As a result of study, with respect to the effect of employment stability by business incubator manager on the supportive service level and management performance by new businesses, the group with higher employment stability by manager revealed statistically more significant effect than the group with less did, and the group with higher employment stability showed higher manager performance as well. Furthermore, as a result of analyzing the relationship between supportive service level and management performance and performance by manager, as performance by manager is higher, the service satisfaction and management performance by new businesses were higher. This indicates that to support successful new business by the business incubator, the center shall ensure employment stability of a manager to establish the condition of stable support for new businesses, and that through enhancement of professionalism by a manager, the foundation to support growth of new businesses shall be prepared as well.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide logical and policy justification for the feasibility and sustainability of the project through analysis of economic ripple effects of the fishing village new deal 300 project. To do this, we applied the industry-related analysis, which is mainly used to analyze the economic ripple effects, to the fishing village new deal 300 project. The industry association analysis classifies the detailed project of the preliminary plan for the selection of the business into the software business such as the hardware business and the capacity enhancement in the construction field and analyzes the economic ripple effect through the inter-industry association. As a result, it is expected that the fishing village new deal 300 project will have a positive economic impact. When the total investment of 3 trillion won is invested in the project, it is estimated that the production inducement effect and the value added effect are 5,545.3 billion won and 2,102.7 billion won, respectively. In addition, 62,005 get job inducements, where 10,952 employment inducements were associated with job creation. The analysis of the above impacts seems to have secured the logical justification for the implementation of the fishing village new deal 300 project.

  • The variations of the TFT characteristics in AMOLEDs result in the decrease of the uniformity of the displays. Measurement of the long-range uniformity (LRU) is straightforward. However, there is no method for measuring the short-range uniformity (SRU) yet. Quantifying the SRU is important in evaluating various TFT backplanes and compensation circuits. We propose new methods for measuring SRU.

  • TFT LCD mode has some well-documented performance limitations, namely limited viewing angle, inversion of the gray scale levels and poor luminance efficiency because of the necessity of using crossed polarisers attached to the display cell. During the last few years many initiatives have been undertaken to solve these problems by incorporation birefringent films of various designs into the LCD module. Controlling the optical performance of LCDs often requires combination of liquid crystal material properties, cell parameters and optical films. Such optical films have traditionally been made with stretched polymer materials such as polycarbonate, but recently coated liquid crystalline materials have been used to give improved optical films which can greatly enhance the performance of LCDs. We have now developed reactive mesogen materials to add ultra-thin optical layers into the display structure, and these allow the potential for many new applications.

  • Content services for silver users on the ubiquitous technologies are getting attention as a new business model, monitoring users in real-time on the real-world and/or cyber-world. A lot of business and service model have been developed to apply silver or elder user. This study explained a state-of-the-art silver IT service to innovative services for users, ranging from home and finance to support for healthcare and living. Due to the variation of subtle terminologies, this study was conducted to restructure an adaptive terminology including some definitions. Current silver IT service model has been evaluated from the technical, functional, and business analyst, and its suitability has also been expressed in a proposed model and service. The purpose of this study was to propose a systematic approach of new IT service business model for silver users. A proposed model was described to explain the feasibility of the silver IT industry.
