  • MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network) is a self-configuration network or wireless multi-hop network based on inference topology. The proposed ATICC(Adaptive Time Interval Clustering Control) algorithm for hierarchical cluster based MANET. The proposed ATICC algorithm is time interval control technique for node management considering the attribute of node and network traffic. ATICC could be made low the network traffic. Also it could be improving the network life time by using timing control method.

Application of a Neural Network to Dynamic Draft Model

  • A dynamic draft model is necessary to analyze mechanics of tillage and to design optimal tillage tools. In order to deal with draft dynamics, a neural network paradigm was applied to develop dynamic draft models. For the development of the models, three kinds of tillage tools were used to measure drafts in the soil bin and a time lagged recurrent neural network was developed. The neural network had a structure to predict dynamic draft, having a function of one-step-ahead prediction. A procedure for network prediction model identification was established. The results show promising modeling of the dynamic drafts with developed neural network.

  • Energy efficiency is the most challenging issue in wireless sensor network to prolong the life time of the network, as the sensors has to be unattended. Cluster based communication can reduce the traffic on the network and gives the opportunity to other sensors for periodic sleep and thus save energy. Passive clustering (PC) can perform a significant role to minimize the network load as it is less computational and light weight. First declaration wins method of PC without any priority generates severe collision in the network and forms the clusters very dense with large amount of overlapping region. We have proposed several modifications for the existing passive clustering algorithm to prolong the life time of the network with better cluster formation.

여성결혼이민자 부부의 문화 및 언어수용태도와 사회관계망이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Multicultural Acceptance Attitude, Language Acceptance Attitude and Social Network on Married Female Immigrants and Korean Husbands' Life Satisfaction during the Adjustment Period)

  • This study was conducted to examine the factors affecting the life satisfaction of married female immigrants and Korean husbands. Data for this study were obtained from the National Survey of Multicultural Families conducted in 2012. The study sample consisted of 5,232 couples within the first five years of marriage. Data were evaluated using a paired t-test, K-mean cluster analysis, ANOVA, and ordered logistic regression analysis. The results were as follows: 1) life satisfaction was higher for married female immigrants than for Korean husbands. 2) The general characteristics, acceptance attitude, language acceptance, and social network differed significantly depending on life satisfaction levels. 3) The multicultural acceptance attitude of husbands, ability of married female immigrants to speak Korean, and ability of Korean husbands to speak wives' native languages improved life satisfaction levels. The results of this study can be used to improve the life satisfaction of married female immigrants and Korean husbands.

  • In this paper, we propose a framework for the real-time monitoring of wireless biosensors. This is a scalable platform that requires minimum human interaction during set-up and monitoring. Its main components include a biosensor, a smart gateway to automatically set up the body area network, a mechanism for delivering data to an Internet monitoring server, and automatic data collection, profiling and feature extraction from bio-potentials. Such a system could increase the quality of life and significantly lower healthcare costs for everyone in general, and for the elderly and those with disabilities in particular.

A semi-automatic cell type annotation method for single-cell RNA sequencing dataset

  • Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has been widely applied to provide insights into the cell-by-cell expression difference in a given bulk sample. Accordingly, numerous analysis methods have been developed. As it involves simultaneous analyses of many cell and genes, efficiency of the methods is crucial. The conventional cell type annotation method is laborious and subjective. Here we propose a semi-automatic method that calculates a normalized score for each cell type based on user-supplied cell type-specific marker gene list. The method was applied to a publicly available scRNA-seq data of mouse cardiac non-myocyte cell pool. Annotating the 35 t-stochastic neighbor embedding clusters into 12 cell types was straightforward, and its accuracy was evaluated by constructing co-expression network for each cell type. Gene Ontology analysis was congruent with the annotated cell type and the corollary regulatory network analysis showed upstream transcription factors that have well supported literature evidences. The source code is available as an R script upon request.

중년기 기혼여성의 사회적지원망이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Social Support Network on the Life Satisfaction of Married Middle-aged Women)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the social support network of married middle-aged women and its effects on the life satisfaction. The data were obtained through 395 middle-aged women living in Kwangju and Chonnam. The major findings were as follows. 1. Married middle-aged women mostly received companionable support and they were intimate with friends and family members of orientation obviously. 2. The life satisfaction of married middle-aged women was significantly influenced by emotional support from wife's family members of orientation, contact frequency with husband's family members of orientation, emotional support from their friends and intimacy with wife's family members of orientation.

  • Time domain method and frequency domain method are commonly used in the current fatigue life calculation theory. The time domain method has complicated procedures and needs a large amount of calculation, while the frequency domain method has poor applicability to different materials and different spectrum, and improper selection of spectrum model will lead to large errors. Considering that artificial neural network has strong ability of nonlinear mapping and generalization, this paper applied this technique to random fatigue life prediction, and the effect of average stress was taken into account, thereby achieving more accurate prediction result of random fatigue life.

  • 전 세계적으로 노령화 문제가 사회적 이슈로 대두되고 있는 가운데, 노인이 느끼는 전반적인 삶의 질 (Quality of Life, QoL) 이 하락하는 문제가 사회 전반에 걸쳐 중요한 문제로 인식되고 있다. 이에 다양한 형태로 발생하고 있는 노인들의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 노인학, 사회 복지학 등의 분야에서 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이 중 노인의 사회적 관계 (Social Network, SN) 를 강화, 확장하여 노인의 삶의 만족도 향상을 추구하고자 하는 연구를 찾아볼 수 있다. 이러한 관점에서 노인의 사회적 관계를 인터넷을 이용해 개선함으로써, 노인의 삶의 질을 향상시키고자 하는 것이 본 연구의 궁극적인 목표이다. 이에 본 연구의 세부적인 목적은 현재 젊은 층을 중심으로 많이 사용되고 있는 SNS 를 노인들이 사용하지 않는 이유에 대한 분석, 노인을 위한 SNS 의 핵심적인 기능적, 서비스적 요소를 파악하는데 있다. 이를 위해 현재 인터넷을 잘 활용하고 있는 60 세 이상의 노인 22 명을 대상으로 개별 인터뷰, 참가자가 사용하는 서비스 분석, FGI 의 3 가지 방식으로 데이터를 수집하였다. 이후 수집한 데이터를 이용하여 정성적 분석 방법으로 Casual Network 를 도출하였으며, 정량적 분석 방법인 Laddering 분석으로 Hierarchical Map 도출하여 비교하였다. 또한 도출된 결과가 노인들만의 특징인지를 파악하기 위하여 대학생, 직장인 각 10 명씩을 대상으로 노인을 대상으로 한 연구 방식과 동일한 방법으로 데이터를 수집, 분석 하였다. 최종적으로 본 연구는 사회감성적 선택 이론 (Socioemotional Selectivity Theory, SST)를 바탕으로 인터넷에서의 Social Network 활동도 오프라인과 유사한 특징을 가지고 있으며, 현재 친하게 지내고 있는 사람들을 중심으로 SN 을 강화시키려 하는 강화형 타입과 새로운 SN을 생성하기 위하여 노력하는 확장형 타입으로 구분할 수 있었다. 추후 이러한 특징들을 반영하여 노인들을 위한 SNS 가 지녀야 할 기능적, 시스템적 요소를 제안하고, 추후 연구 및 SNS 개발과 관련한 계획을 정리하였다.
