The purpose of this study is to investigate early childhood student teachers' practicum anxiety on the basis of the teacher's image and self-efficacy during their practicum. The participants of this study were 499 student teachers who were enrolled in the department of early childhood education in a college or a university and had completed the practicum in Daejeon metropolitan city or the Chungcheong area. The instruments for this study were the Teacher's Image Scale, Practicum Anxiety Scale, Self-efficacy Scale, and a questionnaire for socio-demographic variables. The collected data were analyzed by using a t -test, F test, Pearson's partial correlation, and multiple regression with SPSS software (version 20.0). The results were as follows: First, the student teachers expressed higher practicum anxiety in a provincial area than in metropolitan city, and their self-efficacy was higher in public kindergarten than in private kindergarten. Further, the highest level of the teacher's image was obtained in the case of student teachers who enrolled in a 2- or 3-year college program and completed the practicum in the metropolitan city. Second, there was a significant negative correlation between the sum of student teachers' practicum anxiety and their professional skills of teacher's image as well as significant correlations between the sum of student teachers' practicum anxiety and their self-efficacy, except self-control efficacy. Finally, the student teachers' practicum anxiety was found to be 17.5%-24.4% and was explained the most by the confidence of self-efficacy.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among TV involvement, body image concern, restrained eating behavior and self-esteem of middle school students in one city. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. A total of 229 boys and 267 girls enrolled in the middle schools completed self report questionnaire in June, 2009. The data was analyzed by using SPSS/WIN 17.0. Results: Of boys, 24.5% was over-weight/obese while 12.7% of girls was over-weight/obese. Compared to boys, girls involved more in TV (p<.001), and showed more body image concern, and restrained eating behavior (p<.001), but had lower self-esteem (p=.020). A significant positive correlation between TV involvement and body image concern was found in both boys and girls. However, only girls showed a negative association between TV involvement and self-esteem, and as well as between restrained eating behavior and self-esteem. As grouped by BMI, both boys and girls showed significantly different scores in restrained eating behavior (p<.001). Conclusion: These results suggest that the increased number of obese young adolescent need a weight management program including control for unhealthy eating behavior. The influence of mass-media on distorted body image for adolescents should be corrected. Also, an intervention for young obese girls to promote their self-esteem needs to be developed.
This study was carried out to investigate the perception of body image, the dietary attitude, the nutrient intake and the dietary self-efficacy of middle school students in Kyoung-Nam. The survey was conducted from April 8 to April 22 in 2002. The results are summarized as follows. Twenty three point nine percents of the underweight group,24.5% of the normal weight group, 57.1% of the overweight group and 62.5% of the obese group had correct perception about their body image. Most of the students were concerned about their body image and weight control. The obesity of the parents correlated significantly with the obesity of the subjects. The higher the obesity rate, the lower the dietary attitude and dietary self-efficacy. There was a significant positive correlation between the education level of their mothers and the dietary attitude of the subjects and a significant negative correlation between the obesity rate of the subjects and their. dietary attitudes. Dietary attitude scores showed no significant difference among the groups. Intakes of calories, protein, calcium and iron were lower than those of the Korean recommended dietary allowances (RDAs). The hospital is not the place for functional isolationalism, that is, for each department to do their own activities independently. Rather it is an organization in which each part is joined together and concentrating on the same objectives. The hospital must maintain a one-system-function, so that all the resources of the hospital may be used efficiently. Although we do not yet completely understand how the nursing image as perceived by the medical team and the other members of the interdisciplinary team affects nursing practice. It is important to identify how the client recognizes the nursing image as this will influence the growth of the nursing profession directly and indirectly. So we must reevaluate the nursing image as presented to the client and find the ways to present them with a better image of nursing. The study procedures were as follow; First, the image of nurses was analyzed. The subjects for this study were 270 nurses, 172 doctors, 237 hospital employees, and 240 patients and their families from 5 local branches of the Yonsei Medical Center. The four negative responses shown in this study are as follows; 1) Nurses don't listen to patients. 2) Nurses are self-centered. 3) Nurses and careless. 4) Nurses are mechanical. Second, the concrete causes of the four negative responses were analyzed. Third, the contribution of the nurses for clinical practice, research and education was analyzed. Data were collected by questionnaires all seps of the research. Data were analyzed by use of SPSS/PC. In conclusion, the image of nurses differed according to which group, the respondents belonged. Generally, the public have a positive image of nurses, but hospital employees have a negative images of nurses. Further the nurses gave themselves a low grade. They showed negative as to the value of their job, professionality and their contribution to clinical practice when it was compared to that of the doctors.
This study compares the perceived body image of female college students in Korea and Japan as well as explains the difference in the level of self-esteem, body cathexis, body image and fashion leadership based on nationality and body. The sense of fashion leadership affected by these factors was also analyzed. A high ratio of Korean and Japanese female students perceived themselves as obese compared to actual body physique. It was shown that body was highly distorted. They showed a comparatively low level of satisfaction with appearance in contrast to their high interest in their appearance and weight. Thin bodied individuals showed a high level of self-esteem and body cathexis; however, persons with an obese body showed a low level of body cathexis. They showed high interest in appearance regardless of body physique; however, they remain unsatisfied with their appearance. Individuals with an obese body and a standard somatotype showed a high concern with weight. A high fashion opinion leadership was reciprocal to a high interest in appearance and satisfaction with appearance. Korean female students showed an indirect positive effect on fashion opinion leadership through body cathexis, self-esteem, interest in appearance, and satisfaction with appearance. A thin body showed a positive effect on fashion opinion leadership and an obese body had a negative effect. Fashion innovativeness was directly influenced persons with a high degree of self-esteem and interest in appearance. Japanese female students were directly affected by fashion innovativeness; however, Korean female students were indirectly affected by fashion innovativeness through self-esteem and interest in appearance.

This study is an empirical investigation of the effectiveness of guerrilla-marketing techniques in creating a positive brand image among generation Y (millennial) consumers. Five guerrilla techniques practiced by companies-such as viral marketing (EWOM), stealth marketing, ambush, graffiti, and clickbait ads-were studied, and hypotheses were proposed. This study adopted a quantitative approach and a questionnaire using the non-probability sampling technique was developed to collect data and self-administered to 248 millennial respondents on various university campuses. The data collected were analyzed through structured modeling on AMOS. The findings of this research revealed that guerrilla marketing affects symbolic and experiential brand image. Further, the results revealed that stealth marketing, graffiti, and click bait advertising were found to be influential on both symbolic and experiential brand images. As an exception, the hypotheses for ambush marketing were found to have no significant influence on the brand image (symbolic and experiential). Moreover, ambush technique in campaigns may have a negative impact on the brand image. Conversely, the study found that clickbait ads had a significantly negative influence on experiential brand image. Consequently, the results of this study strengthen past findings and concluded that guerrilla marketing techniques are beneficial communication tools in the limited marketing budgets.

The purpose of this study is to develop a measurement tool for self-image of the teacher librarian by semantic differential meaning scale and to analyse the correlation between their self-image and individual characteristics. This study suggests that the teacher librarians have regarded themselves as friendly, planned, sensitive and cooperative persons as well as persons with discernment. On the other hand, there are some negative self-images such as partial, poor and uninfluential persons plus disregarder and a reserved persons. The educational career of teacher librarians' background has influence on evaluation area of the self-image. This result shows that senior teacher librarians' role performance as a adviser or a leader is very important. So mediator role of KLA and KSLA has to be reinforced to beat the exchange and collaboration between the senior and the junior teacher librarians. It is necessary to appoint the teacher librarians obligatorily in oder to feel their professional security and sense of achievement, also to appreciate expertise of them through role clarification among the human resources of the school library.
The study assessed the relationship between brand evidence (e.g., brand name, price/value for money, servicescape, core service, employee service and self-image congruence) and positive/negative emotion and brand satisfaction, and between positive/negative emotion and brand satisfaction in the family restaurant setting. Also, the relationship of positive/negative emotion and brand satisfaction with customer loyalty were assessed. Customers who used five brands of family restaurant in Daegu and Pusan during October of 2008 were surveyed by questionnaires. Brand evidence was positively related to positive emotion and brand satisfaction, and was negatively related to negative emotion. Positive emotion was positively related to brand satisfaction and negative emotion was negatively related to brand satisfaction. Brand satisfaction was positively relatively to customer loyalty. The results indicate that management of family restaurants should focus on brand evidence as a means of increasing profits and sales volume.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of female applicant's facial attractiveness and feminine-masculine clothing image on job performance evaluation and hiring decision. The research design of study consisted of 3(facial attractiveness high, middle, low)${\times}$2(feminine and masculine clothing image) factorial design. The subject consisted of 243 persons whose occupation were mid-sized companies' administrator in Gwangju and Seoul City. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, Duncan test, ANOVA, t-test. The results of this study were as follows. First, three factors emerged to account for the job performance evaluation. These factors were given the titles of task performance, cooperation and self-management factors. Second, applicant's facial attractiveness exerted significant positive effect on self-management and significant negative effect on cooperation. Third, applicant's facial attractiveness exerted significant effect on hiring decision. Finally, the interaction effect of female applicant's facial attractiveness and feminine-masculine clothing image on job performance evaluation and hiring decision were not significant.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among women's leisure dance participation, physical image and self-esteem. The subjects in this study were 300 female adults who were selected by cluster sampling from the population that consisted of women who were in their 20s to 50s. In the population, some women got leisure dance at fitness clubs, sport lovers' clubs and dance academies in Seoul and Gyeoggn Province as of 2009, and the others didn't. As for the reliability of the questionnaires used in the study, the Cronbach alpha coefficient of the questionnaires was above .70. The major statistical methods utilized in this study were Frequencies, reliability factor analysis, analysis covariate, regression analysis and path analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the women who got leisuer dance evaluated their own physical image and self-esteem more favorably than the others who didn't. Second, the length of participation affected the body shape, satisfaction level and flexibility, and the intensity of participation impacted on the body shape and muscular power. Third, the length of participation had an impact on self-esteem, and the frequency of participation exerted a negative influence on that. Fourth, the degree of participation had a causal impact on physical image and self-esteem. In other words, the degree of getting leisure dance affected self-esteem in a firsthand manner and exerted a secondhand influence on that through physical image as well. The findings of the study suggested that physical image was one of major parameters to link participation in rhythmic exercise and self-esteem.
