Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of smartphones to address parents' educational needs. Methods: The participants were parents of children under 18 years old, Participants were 347 parents (222 mothers, 125 fathers). Data were collected from August, 15 to September, 2, 2016 using self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA with the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. Results: Parents had an average score of 3.30 (${\pm}.41$) for the need to have smartphone health education. Among the educational subcategories, 'child and family' showed the highest average for educational needs (3.40, ${\pm}57$). According to the demographic characteristics of the participants, there were significant difference in parents' age (t=4.354, p=.014), and parents' who have received health education versus parents who have not (t=2.483, p=.014). Conclusion: Findings indicate that the smartphone may be an effective educational method for parents.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the needs of a mother when getting the information from the child care web sites. The subjects of this study were collected through on-line and off-line and constituted of 157 mothers who had neonates and infancy. All the mothers could use the internet. On-line subjects were 135 mothers who were the members of "Child Rearing" circle of internet portal site, Daum (www.daum.net) and off-line subjects were 22 mothers who visited the pediatric outpatient department. The instrument had 15 items about needs for information of the child care web sites. 12 items were multiple choice-questions and 3 items were open questions. In data analysis, SPSSWIN 10.0 program was utilized for descriptive statistics. The results were as follows. 1. The most useful web content that mothers represented was food and nutrition(24.4%) and the other rated as following order; growth and development(21.1%), supports among parents(16.8%). 2. The most great web problem that mothers represented was depth of content(43 people) and the other rated as following order; objectivity, specialty and reliability of content(29 people), no problems (23 people), too much advertisements(17 people), obligation on member(4 people). 3. Mothers represented the highest information needs about play and education(65 people) and the other rated as following order; nutrition(44 people), managements of common health problems(39 people), experiences of other parents(10 people), child caring methods (38 people), exchanges of things(7 people). 4. Mothers represented the highest consultation needs about common health problem (62 people) and the other rated as following order; growth and activity(60 people), play and education(30 people), nutrition(22 people), child caring methods(9 people).
This study reviews facts and trends of harmful environments in the last decade that negatively affected children's development. Younger children have been exposed to harmful media, drugs, facilities, and objects. A matter of chemical substances contaminating in-door air has become quite controversial, recently. In order to provide a better understanding of harmful environments against children, there are great needs for a survey covering all ages based on the clear definition of the term harmful environments, research identifying its causal effects on child development in the context of both parent-child and peer relationships, and a longitudinal study processing its effects in a life-span perspective. It is suggested that by providing parent education and a plenty of cultural facilities as social efforts to create sound family culture, psycho-social and physical environments of children are improved. Furthermore, legal regulations and supervision on harmful environments are needed to be strengthened.
This study aimed to assess the feasibility and impact of a 5-week parent-led home-based music program for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The program aimed to enhance the parents' sense of competence and their relationships with their child. Each week for 5 weeks, 10 parents of 10 children with ASD (aged 3 to 9 years) received weekly 30-minute personalized lessons on how to implement the home-based music program and implemented the educated music program at home with activities involving receptive and active engagement. On average, the parents conducted the music program 2.5 times a week for about 9.2 minutes per session. At the end of the 5 weeks, parents reported increased comfort and effectiveness in interacting with their child through music. In addition, positive changes were noted on the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale and the closeness aspect of the parent-child relationship. Participants affirmed the program's feasibility, emphasizing its potential for supporting families with children with ASD. These results provide foundational data for future home-based music activities and programs, emphasizing the importance of tailoring interventions to the unique needs of families with children with ASD.

The purpose of this study was to develop and to examine the effect on sex education program to middle school student. The subjects were 8 grade students and to examine 10 session education. Collected data was analyzed by SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The major results of this study were as follow ; First sex education program was developed into four areas : human and sex psychology, physical development and sex healthy, sex social environment and equality, marriage and healthy family. Included program contents were human dignit communication, sex curiosity, difference of sex, genital organs, pregnancy and birth, family violence, sexual violence, equality, parent-children relationships, family role. Second, sex education program was effective to improve degree of sex knowledge and to change sex attitude. Finally, sex education program needs to be continuously offered even to lower grades in elementary school.
Early Head Start (EHS) can provide services to a child and family from pre-birth until the child is three years old. Services are comprehensive, intensive, individualized and flexible according to child and family needs, and integrated with community service delivery systems. The local program designs and operations were developed and carried out within the framework of the Head Start Revised Performance Standards, which included specific provisions for services to pregnant women, infants and toddlers and emphasized prevention, early intervention, safety, and health education. As with preschool Head Start, EHS programs are required to make available 10 percent of their enrollment for infants and toddlers with disabilities as defined by Part C regulations of the state in which the program operated. Quality child care has become a priority for EHS. A majority of EHS children need child care, and the quality is important to their development. An evaluation of EHS in 17 programs selected from the first program cohorts showed that the program had significant and positive impacts on a wide range of parent and child dimensions, some with implications for children's later school success. Among the issues for policy attention identified by American EHS for the Korean system are: - The need to create a comprehensive infant/toddler care system - The need to address access of teachers for young children - The need to improve quality.

Pumasi and Cooperative Child Care Sharing have had positive results among participants and show possibilities of spreading out to the community in general. However, performance was not proved where it is clarified, and the experience of 23 local Healthy Family Support Centers have that ran the demonstration project were unable to be collected. It is the point of time when the initial backing up is important but the centers do not have the systematic support. Therefore, this research presents an effective management plan through qualitative research involving Pumasi participants and person in charge. The operation strategies by the stage of the project were as follows: First, in the beginning stage, the person in charge establishes the target and vision of the project. Second, when comprising the Pumasi team, it was necessary to consider their characteristics according to the team organization subjects. Third, it is necessary to extend the turn-off time and provide many programs so that the various populations can participate. Fourth, in the advertising step, word of mouth and individual contact needs to be utilized. Fifth, in a medium or small city or an urban-rural complex area, the person in charge should support the participants' Pumasi activities. Sixth, various programs such as a passive and active parent education program and Pumasi education program for the leader needs to be provided for the activation of Pumasi activities. Lastly, a cooperative child care sharing location needs to be constructed by the duality system of the base space and outer space. In this location, the inside play space for the children is essential.
Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to analyze the trend of research related with unmarried mother. Method: 81 theses about unmarried mother from 1972 to 2003 were analyzed according to the theses' characteristics, sources by publication period, research design, nursing intervention effect of experimental study and theme of qualitative research. Results: 1. The number of studies related with unmarried mother has progressively increased by year from 1972, and that of theses was highest during the period between 2000 to 2003. 2 As for study design, the number of quantitative studies were 73 and that of qualitative studies were 8. The majority of research design were survey and correlational studies. 3. Nursing intervention used in the experimental design were stress management program, eco-system support group, group art treatment, career education program, musical activities, prenatal education. All of experimental design were used in the after 2000. 4. The themes of qualitative studies were childbirth experience, a participatory on the life, mother's keeping a child, experience of pregnancy and delivery, the self-group program, the process and experience of becoming unmarried adolescent mother, needs of single mothers with child and policy of social welfare service, lived experience of hope. All of these were used in the after 1999. Conclusions: The summary of the above results shows a tendency that the study has increased by year. Especially, experimental study proved affirmative effect. However, for the unmarried mother, more experimental and qualitative studies are to be required.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between perceived parental attachment and the life satisfaction of college students, focusing on the mediating role of psychological basic needs(autonomy, competence and relatedness). The Participants of this study were 208 college students. The result was statistically treated using SPSS 21.0 program, Amos 21.0. Additionally, PROCESS Macro was used to verify the significant mediating effect. Results from structural equation modeling analyses indicated that a research model produced a better fit to the data than a alternative structural model. The final SEM model fit indices of $x^2$(df), CFI, TLI, RMSEA were met the acceptable criteria of model fitness. In other words, among the goodness-of-fit indexes of the final study model, $x^2=261.075$(p<.001), RMSEA is .082, TLI equals .925, CFI equals .940. The results showed the following: First, Parental attachment has a direct effect on autonomy, competence and relatedness. Also competence and relatedness have a direct effect on the life satisfaction. Second, Competence and relatedness showed a mediating effects on Parental attachment and the life satisfaction. The implications of these results were discussed and the further studies were suggested.
This study conducted a survey on recognition of teachers, students, and Parent Teacher Association(PTA) for the Education for Sustainable Development from April to October, 2008. It confirmed a couple of facts, which were summarized as follows; First, among eight educational areas including Environmental Education, Energy Education, Gender Education, World Heritage Education, Multi-cultural Coexistence Education, Peace Education, Education for human rights, and Education for international understanding that UNESCO had offered, this study showed that the 'Environmental Education' is a relatively important area comparing with others. Second, 54.4% of the respondents have agree with the need of the education for sustainable development in the middle school and the high school, and 54.1% of them showed their willingness to participate in the program. Third, because 49.2% of the respondents chose 'important' on the question of 'how important the field education and the experience education are', it looked like most of them agreed with the importance of the field education and the experience education. Fourth, because 61.1% of the responded teachers chose 'need' on the question of 'if it needs relationship with other studies', it looked like most of them agreed with the necessity of relationship with other studies. Fifth, 62.5% of the respondents chose 'no' on the question of 'if they conduct the education for sustainable development Even if some wanted the education for sustainable development, most of them would not do it in the regular curriculum, but in the special activity class or teacher's discretional time. Sixth, most respondents indicated the teacher's class burden and the teacher's lack of knowledge as the problem if the education for sustainable development would be conducted. This result implied that in order to vitalize the education for sustainable development, the teacher's class burden should be reduced and the teacher train program is necessary. Finally, urgent requested studies could improve the education for sustainable development in communities and schools, because the result of the survey showed education, natural observation learning, and visiting ecological parks as important elements.
