  • We consider 𝒩 to be a 3-prime field and 𝒫 to be a prime ideal of 𝒩. In this paper, we study the commutativity of the quotient near-ring 𝒩/𝒫 with left multipliers and derivations satisfying certain identities on 𝒫, generalizing some well-known results in the literature. Furthermore, an example is given to illustrate the necessity of our hypotheses.

  • Computed tomography system is widely used on various fields because section image of an object can be acquired. During several step to obtain section image, artifacts by many error factors can be added on the image. Ring artifact induced by the CT system is examined in this study. A test phantom of $512{\times}512$ size was constructed numerically, and the ring artifact was investigated by the algebraic reconstruction technique. The computer program was realized using Visual C++ under the fan beam geometry with projections of 720 and detector pixel of 1,280. The generation of ring artifact was verified by applying different detection efficiency on detector pixels. The ring intensity became large as increasing the ring value, and the ring artifacts were strongly emphasized near the center of the reconstructed image. The ring artifact may be eliminated by tracking the position of ring artifact on the reconstructed image and by calibrating the detector pixel.

  • In this note we study the structures of power-serieswise Armendariz rings and IFP rings when they are skewed by ring endomor-phisms (or automorphisms). We call such rings skew power-serieswise Armendariz rings and skew IFP rings, respectively. We also investigate relationships among them and construct necessary examples in the process. The results argued in this note can be extended to the ordinary ring theoretic properties of power-serieswise Armendariz rings, IFP rings, and near-related rings.

  • The origin of five small satellites (1980 S1, 1980 S3, 1980 S26, 1980 S27 and 1980 S28) and F-ring of Saturn which were recently discovered inside the orbit of Mimas, is proposed in terms of the resonant effects by external satellites in the Saturnian primordial extended ring. From the calculations of resonance locations and strengths, the following conclusion could be derived. Assuming that present two objects 1980 S1 and 1980 S3 were originally a single object 1980 S1+S3, 1980 S1+S3 had been formed due to Enceladus' 2/1 resonance and 1980 S26 due to Mimas' 3/2 resonance at first and then 1980 S28. 1980 S27 and F-ring were formed in the next due to 1980 S1+S3's 8/7, 9/8 and 10/9 resonances, respectively.

  • In this letter, a novel antenna with a miniaturized aperture is proposed. The substrate including a split-ring resonator array is inserted into a size-reduced open-ended waveguide. For a low return loss and high radiation efficiency, the ring arrangement is optimized, and a stepped transition using H-plane discontinuity is proposed. The proposed antenna achieves a 70% aperture reduction compared to a conventional standard waveguide antenna of WR-187 (47.6 mm${\times}$22.2 mm). The return loss drops significantly at three frequencies, and a reasonable gain is achieved. The aperture-miniaturized antenna can be used in many antenna applications such as near-field measurement.

  • This study was performed to evaluate the dynamic behavior of turbo pump unit. The acceptable separate margin of 1st critical speed was obtained by the use of elastic-ring inserted ball bearing, while the poor separate margin of 1$\^$st/ critical speed was appeared in the case without the elastic-ring. In addition, the results show that the stiffness and damping of plain seals gain more separate margin of 2nd critical speed. However the wear or the failure of seals could reduce the 2$\^$nd/ critical speeds near the operating speed.

  • Metallocenes, whether using a cocatalyst or not, act as catalysts in ethylene polymerization. The positive charge on the transition metal of a metallocene might have an important role in polymerization as an active site in our model approach. Using semiempirical calculations in the absence of cocatalyst, we show one of the possibilities that the positive charge on a metallocene might be more easily transferred through the Cp ring of a ligand to the ethylene than to transfer directly from the transition metal to the ethylene. In these calculations, the charge on titanium in an eight C2H4 system is transferred and a polymer chain is produced. This reaction takes place only when ethylenes are arranged in a particular direction with respect to the ring, but does not take place for ethylenes near Ti or Cl atoms. The same mechanism is shown for a metallocene ligand which is sterically hindered or where the Cp ring is replaced by fluorenyl. These results suggest an entirely new polymerization mechanism in the absence of a cocatalyst in which the Cp ring is the active site.

  • We introduce the concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy submodules and intuitionistic fuzzy weak congruences on an R-module (Near-ring module). And we obtain the correspondence between intuitionistic fuzzy weak congruences and intuitionistic fuzzy submodules of an R-module. Also, we define intuitionistic fuzzy quotient R-module of an R-module over an intuitionistic fuzzy submodule and obtain the correspondence between intuitionistic fuzzy weak congruences on an R-module and intuitionistic fuzzy weak congruences on intuitionistic fuzzy quotient R-module over an intuitionistic fuzzy submodule of an R-module.

  • Due to population aging, an increase in the number of patients with chronic illnesses, and an increase in the number of single-person households, monitoring of health status in everyday life without the need for a hospital has become very important. For this reason, researches on various health care devices have been attempted, among which wearable devices are attracting much attention. In this paper, we propose a new ring-type wearable device for next generation healthcare. On the inner side of the ring, a metal electrodes for GSR measurement and an optical sensor for measurement of pulse wave signals of two wavelengths of red and near-infrared light were mounted. In addition, it was equipped with an acceleration sensor, and information about the degree of motion could be obtained. In this paper, it is shown that a health monitoring device can be implemented in the form of a ring, and the measured signals can be used to calculate heart rate, oxygen saturation, sleep time and sleep efficiency. Through the advanced algorithm, it is expected that we can extract various health information, especially sleep related health information by using the ring device, and it is also expected that it can contribute to the implementation of wearable healthcare effectively.
