Distribution of the naturalized plants in Korea was studied, based on the references reported by many authors from 1895 to 1980 and on the data obtained by survey of the present authors on 200 localities, 170 overpopulated areas and 30 islands in various size, in South Korea. We could describe 110 species in 27 families, including the pre-1945 records in North Korea. In this paper 14 naturalized species were newly described. Naturalized plants were characterized by dominated annual and hemigeophytes, 75.5% and 17.3%, respectively, in Raunkiaer's life form spectrum. The authors proposed two indices, i.e., Relative Naturalized Degree (RND) and Urbanization Index (UI). Increasing UI values or numbers of the naturalized plants in various localities were showed the correlation to the urbanized degree or population size in their localities.

Endemic plants were investigated as 14 taxa of including seudostellaria coreana (Nakai) Ohwi and The floristic special plants were a total of 84 taxa such as 2 taxa in degree V(in cluding Polypodium virginianum L.), 7 taxa in degree IV (including Anemone reflexa Steph. & Willd.), 21 taxa in degree III(including Celtis aurantiaca Nakai), 22 taxa in degree II (including Thelypteris phegopteris (L.) Sloss.) and 31 taxa in degree I (including Cimicifuga simplex (DC.) Turcz.) was carried out to provide basic data. The naturalized plants were investigated as 37 taxa of including Chenopodium ficifolium Smith., Thlaspi arvense L., Rumex crispus L. and the percentage of urbanization index was 11.53%, the naturalized ratio was 6.99% respectively.
This study was carried out to investigate the flora of Mt. Baegam (1,099 m) from March, 2014 to July, 2015. The vascular plants were summarized as 506 taxa, including 90 families, 293 genera, 435 species, 5 subspecies, 58 varieties and 8 forms. Among the investigated 506 taxa, 14 Korean endemic, 16 rare plants and 80 specially designated plants (V degree: 3 taxa, IV degree: 7 taxa, III degree: 22 taxa, II degree: 21 taxa, I degree: 27 taxa) by the Ministry of Environment were also included. The naturalized plants were 36 taxa including 3 ecosystem disturbance wild plant. The urbanization index and percent of naturalized plants species were estimated as 11.2% and 7.1%, respectively. Useful plants of 506 taxa listed consists of 207 taxa (40.9%) of edible plants, 200 taxa (39.5%) of pasture plants, 146 taxa (28.9%) of medicinal plants, 58 taxa (11.5%) of ornamental plants and 15 taxa (3.0%) of timber plants, respectively.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the distribution status and environmental index of the naturalized plants and exotic plants In the 16 sites in Gayasan National Park from March to October 2004. The exotic plants were recorded as 88 taxa, 39 families, 72 genera, 82 species, 5 varieties and 1 form. The naturalized plants among the exotic plants were certified as 47 taxa. The Naturalized Ratio (NR) was 4.06% and the Urbanization Index (UI) was 17,74% in area of Gayasan National Park. The naturalized plants were distributed around the region that had accepted artificial disturbance however, it was so difficult to identify distribution of naturalized plants in the conserved area as well as natural vegetation without artificial turbulence. The naturalized plants appeared as almost all speciesas 37 taxa (72%) which both originated from Europe and North America. Although a national degree for integrated management plans of exotic plants is needed, distribution and steady management of exotic plants in Gayasan National Park are playing an important role in conservation and protection of natural species.

The rare plants were 4 taxa including Pseudoraphis ukishiba (VU), Belamcanda chinensis (VU), Phacelurus latifolius (LC) and Polygonum bellardii (DD). The Korean endemic plants were 2 taxa including Salix pseudolasiogyne and Forsythia koreana. In the specific plants by floristic region were 24 taxa, a degree I were 19 taxa (Rhodotypos scandens, Zanthoxylum planispinum, Cynodon dactylon and so on), 2 taxa of a degree III (Elymus mollis and Asparagus oligoclonos), 3 taxa of a degree IV (Polygonum bellardii, Wisteria floribunda and Pseudoraphis ukishiba) and degree II, V were not found. The naturalized plants were 40 taxa including Phytolacca americana, Sicyos angulatus, Lactuca scariola and so on. Naturalization rate (NR) was 17.3% of all 231 taxa of vascular plants and urbanization index (UI) was 12.5% of all 321 taxa of naturalized plants. This study was performed to used as a basic data to identify the protected from plant ecosystems of type classify into analyze the vegetation characteristic of based on flora distributed in Yubu-do and nearby islands.
Naturalized plants were identified and recorded in South Korea based on field surveys and related literatures. These plants consisted of 321 taxa in total, belonging to 40 families, 175 genera, 302 species, 15 varieties and 4 forms. Among the plants the family Compositae was dominant containing 68 taxa (21.2% of the total population) and Poaceae with 62 taxa (19.3%) successively. Most of the plants were herbs and only 7 taxa trees. 221 taxa (68.8%) appeared to have invaded the country during the third period (1964-2010). 41.8% (134 taxa) of the total population were originated from Europe. These invasive plants were assessed with the degree of naturalisation which was categorized as I-V types.
The naturalized plant species in Gyeongju National Park was summarized as 46 taxa including 14 families 40 genus 45 species 1 varieties. Among them, annual herbaceous species was 17 taxa (37%) which is grouped as the biggest proportion and 16 taxa (34.8%) for perennial herbaceous species and 11 taxa (23.9%) for biannual herbaceous species and 2 taxa(4.3%) for tree species. European origin was the biggest proportion as 17 taxa (37%), and 16% (34.8%) from North America. The degree of naturalization (DoN) was the biggest for Degree III, V as 18 taxa (39.1%). Regarding 321 naturalized plant species, the Urbanization Index in the studied area was 14.3%. The Namsam District showed 8.1% which is the highest DoN in the studied districts within the Gyeongju National Park. As the cultural properties is important in the Gyeongju National Park as a representatives for historical sites in Korea, planting and its management in the cultural properties is important tasks. The naturalized plant species in the studied area should be reasonably management.
