Two imperfect repair models for system are considered, one introduced by Brown and Proschan(1983) and the other by Lee and Seoh(1999). We, in this paper, after assigning repair costs to the system, optimize both repair models, when the underlying life distributions of the system are exponential, uniform and Weibull.

Distributing information on the internet is common in our daily life. In the past, e-mail has been the primary choice of exchanging information, but instant messengers are gaining popularity abroad and domestically because of their immediate responses. Instant messaging has become the fastest growing communication technology in recent years. Instant messaging is effectively a chat room for two people. Users that have accounts with the same provider are able to send messages via computer in real time. Instant messaging has exploded into the business world as companies now utilize the technology for everything from interoffice communication to client/customer communication. In this paper, we propose a method of instant messenger system design for effective collaboration of statistical data collection.

여러 많은 응용분야에서 통계분석을 이용하여 의사결정을 뒷받침하는 정보를 얻는다. 그러나 PC용 통계분석 프로그램은 경제적인 부담과 시간 및 위치의 제한을 받는다. 이를 최소화하기 위하여 인터넷을 이용하여 서버 PC의 통계분석 프로그램을 사용하거나, 웹 브라우저를 이용하여 통계분석 프로그램을 사용할 수 있는 웹기반 시스템이 개발되어 왔다. 그러나 기존의 연구는 특정 통계분석 프로그램을 이용하여야 한다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 웹에서 사용되는 html, JAVA, JSP 등의 언어만 사용하여 특정 통계분석 프로그램의 설치 없이 통계분석이 가능한 웹기반 시스템을 개발하였다.

In recent years, many people use R as a statistics system. R is frequently updated by many R project teams. We are interested in the method of multiple outlier detection and know that R is not supplied the method of multiple outlier detection. In this talk, we review these procedures for detecting multiple outliers and provide more efficient procedures combined with direct methods and indirect methods using R.

In this paper, we suggest and implement an internet survey system cooperating the randomized response technique(RRT). We compare it with the direct survey. RRT is an indirect survey method to get true information from the respondent who is conceived to have sensitive character without revealing his/her status. We implement our system(method) based a data-base system, so it common all kind of data obtained through internet surveys. This system also can be used in spot survey independently.

It has been widely accepted that the pressure management of water distribution systems using pressure reducing valves(PRVs) would be an effective method for controlling leakages. A pressure reducing valve (PRV) regulates outlet pressure regardless of fluctuating flow and varying inlet pressure, thereby reducing leakage and mitigating the stress on the water distribution system. However, the operation of a PRV is vulnerable to its mechanical condition and hydraulic operability. In this research, the effect of PRVs installed in water distribution system are evaluated in terms of hydraulic pressure reduction and mechanical performance by analyzing measured pressure data with statistical approach. A statistical approach using the moving average filter and frequency analysis based on fourier transform is presented to detect abnormally operated PRVs that have been densely installed in water distribution system. The result shows that the proposed approach can be a good performance evaluation method by simply measuring pressures for the PRVs.

A strategy for selecting subsets of variables from a given linear model in a mixture system is discussed. The purpose is to achieve better fitting surfaces for estimation of the response in an experimental region of interest. A criterion is proposed for screening variables and illustrated with an example.

This Study is to propose the method about statistical factor from the old oriental medical record in Korea. This Study reviews the statistical analysis recently published in the old oriental medical books which are in the Research Report by the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine at 2007. The results reveal a disease factors, prescription factors.medicines factors, population factors and historical factors by the statistics. The results show that the old oriental medical record for a information system need the interpreting with a information analysts, a statistics analysts and an oriental medical doctors.

A set of scripts for GrADS (Grid Analysis and Display System) and R was implemented to produce agricultural climate information using the future climate scenarios based on the Representative Concentration Pathways. The GrADS script was used to calculate agricultural climate indices including growing degree days and cooling degree days. The script generated agricultural climate maps of these indices, which are compatible with common Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. To perform a statistical analysis using the agricultural climate maps, a script for R, which is open source statistical software, was used. Because a large number of spatial climate data were produced, parallel processing packages such as SNOW, doSNOW, and foreach were used to perform a simple statistical analysis in the R script. The parallel script of R had speedup on workstations with multi-CPU cores.

본 논문에서는 반복적이면서도 복잡 다양한 대학의 업무상황 및 강의실 기자재 활용방법 등을 효과적이면서 비교적 의사전달이 쉽도록 동영상이나 여러가지 형태의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 형태로 제시한 학사업무 지원을 위한 e-Learning 시스템을 설계한 후 이러한 콘텐츠를 탑재하여 활용할 수 있도록 구현하였다. 이러한 결과 업무에 대한 이해를 단기간에 충분히 파악할 수 있었으며 행정업무의 효율화 및 합리적인 행정 프로세스 개선을 통한 교육비용을 절감할 수 있었다.
