  • In the midst of the rising need for Industrial Security experts, the development of National Competency Standards(NCS) with regards to industrial security is a very important and urgent task. The NCS standardizes university-level academic curriculum and qualification systems and connects them with the industry's needs. This study has extracted, classified and analyzed security-related jobs and tasks requiring security expertise that is required within NCS. Through this study, many tasks have been confirmed to require security competencies that are different from those in IT-security, physical security that already exist as a NCS tasks. It is expected that the industry's needs of industrial security expertise will be reflected in future NCS development, which will be used as basic data for systematizing industrial security jobs and competency.

  • National competency standards, which are the contents of the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform a job in industry, is organized by the country. the job performance was evaluated based on the National competency standards from the third-year grade of radiology students by using field-based training courses. according to the evaluation results, students showed over 93% satisfactory ratio of job performance in all radiography projection methods. Therefore, it can be predicted that field-based training courses for students made a positive effect on improving their job performance. Exposure methods with CR equipment were evaluated the best rating, yet it has various problems. The standard deviation between students was very high, and the CR operation skill of students was insufficient. Film methods was evaluated also showed problems, due to the exposure condition setting and developing operation. although DR method was rated good to the students, it was evaluated that the operation skill of DR and the ancillary equipment operation skill was shortage. By supplementing the evaluation factors below proficiency levels to a course management in each exposure method, it could help students course achievement. Also, it could help students to improve job performance of clinical areas after graduation.

Methods: Expert survey was conducted and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) was applied to evaluate the weighting factors. First, we established the vocational core competency defined in NCS as AHP analysis model. The vocational core competency has 10 categories and 34 sub-categories. Secondly, AHP survey was conducted by 195 dental hygienists in Gwangju. Finally, the weights representing relative importance of each factor were calculated by using AHP method. Results: The AHP analysis on 10 categories showed that the weighting of interpersonal skills(0.165) was higher than any other categories while that of numeracy(0.035) was at the bottom, and the analysis on sub-categories revealed that the most important factors in each categories included the teamwork skills(interpersonal skills), problem-solving capability(problem-solving skills), listening skills(communication skills), ethical community(professional ethics), ability to understand business(ability to understand organizational structure), applicable technical skills(technical skills), self-management skills(self-development capability), information processing capabilities(information capacity), ability to manage time(resource management capabilities) and basic math skills(numeracy). • The reference guide for the cost of establishing the digital documents has been used as a basis for establishing the budget for the construction of the knowledge information resource. However, due to the abolition of the nominal unit price notification in terms of IT projects, it is necessary to conduct research to convert the standard of the current labor force grade standard to the national incompetency standard (NCS). In this study, we investigate and revise the system and contents of the current knowledge information cost estimation model. In specific, i) we conducted gap analysis of cost estimation model and existing NCS model. As the contents conforming for the construction of the knowledge information resource were not adoptable, we define the description of the construction of the knowledge information resource and to identify the core elements of NCS prior to the improvement of the cost model. ⅱ) then we proposed improve the cost model considering integration with newly proposed NCS model for knowledge information construction job. In order to ensure the validity of the application of NCS development and cost estimation model, the experts reviewed relevant contents and made plans for improvement by using experts from supply and demand groups of various fields of national knowledge informatization projects.

  • Purpose: In recent years, efforts to improve the dental curriculum in South Korea have focused on a shift to outcome-based dental education based on core competencies in dentistry. So far, the field has seen various studies on the development of competencies, performance evaluation, and the importance of outcome-based education, but few studies have documented the development of such an education model. Therefore, this study develops an OBE curriculum for dentistry education and describes the development procedures and then finally this study intends to share our experience to other dental schools. Methods: This study introduces the development procedure and details of an outcome-based education model for dental education and presents the five stages of an outcome-based education model. In this study, 3 educational experts and 2 dental professor composed the TFT and developed the research method according to the ADDIE model. Step 1 is to conduct quantitative / qualitative research analysis through some survey and interview, Step 2 is to do a survey to revise competency, Step 3 is to develop a materials through consensus and participation of our professors of the dental school, Step 4 is to do some workshops, Step 5 is to prepare and conduct a outcome evaluation. Results: Step 1 is a required process for developing an educational model: the Job Analysis & Need Analysis stage. Step 2 is the Development of Outcome and Competency stage, which involves revising the competencies that are the basis of the curriculum. Step 3 is developing competency descriptions, competency levels, and evaluation criteria?the Development of Outcomes and Evaluation Standards. Step 4 is the Development of Milestones for Curriculum and Instructional Strategy, which examines the curriculum's problems and analyzes the improvements of each course. Step 5 is the Evaluating Outcomes stage, conducted based on the competencies specified by the target dental school. Conclustion: The model presented here can serve as a foundation for outcome-based education in other dental schools.
