Reliable and fine-grained musical metadata are required for efficient search of rapidly increasing music files. In particular, since the primary motive for listening to music is its emotional effect, diversion, and the memories it awakens, emotion classification along with genre classification of music is crucial. In this paper, as an initial approach towards a "ground-truth" dataset for music emotion and genre classification, we elaborately generated a music corpus through labeling of a large number of ordinary people. In order to verify the suitability of the dataset through the classification results, we extracted features according to MPEG-7 audio standard and applied different machine learning models based on statistics and deep neural network to automatically classify the dataset. By using standard hyperparameter setting, we reached an accuracy of 93% for genre classification and 80% for emotion classification, and believe that our dataset can be used as a meaningful comparative dataset in this research field.

디지털 음악시장이 급속히 성장함에 따라 법률적 제도의 측면에서 창작의 주체인 저작권자들의 권익이 논쟁의 중심이 되고 있다. 전 세계 음악시장에서 이미 디지털 음악 매출이 음반매출을 추월하고 있으며 이러한 디지털 음악시장의 높은 상승세는 이전의 다운로드 방식에서 실시간 재생 서비스의 형태로 급속히 바뀌어 가고 있다. 이러한 추세는 국내 음악산업에서도 동일하며 이로 인해 음원 사용료 징수와 창작자들에 대한 이익분배는 큰 이슈가 되고 있다. 2013년 문체부에서는 음원 사용료 징수 규정을 발표하였는데 음원에 대하여 기존의 정액제가 아닌 종량제로 바뀌어 사용자가 이용횟수에 따라 요금을 지불하는 방식이 되었다. 그러나 종량제의 시행에도 불구하고 저작권자에게 돌아가는 이익은 여전히 낮고 소비자에게는 서비스 요금 인상을 가져오는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 창작자들의 창작의식 고취와 소비자들의 만족도를 아울러 높일 수 있는 제도개선과 올바른 인식의 변화가 요구되어진다.

커뮤니티 음악치료는 현대사회의 시대적 요구를 반영하여 음악치료의 대상과 영역을 커뮤니티로 확장한 음악치료의 최신 분야이다. 본 연구에서는 CoMT의 개념 이해를 돕기 위해 CoMT의 구성개념을 커뮤니티, 음악, 건강으로 구분하고, 실행커뮤니티 이론을 토대로 커뮤니티(사람들의 집합체, 상호작용 행위의 장), 음악(행위의 실체이자 대상, 협업적 음악만들기), 건강(행위의 동기이자 목적, 관계 및 사회적 웰빙)의 각 개념을 구체화하였다. 위의 세 요소 간의 연결성을 바탕으로 CoMT의 구성요소를 도식으로 제시하고, 커뮤힐 도식이라 명명하였다. 커뮤힐 개념에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해 Ansdell과 Stige가 커뮤니티 음악치료 논문에서 제시한 두 사례에 해당 개념을 적용하여 분석하였다. CoMT는 타 학문 및 실행 분야와 협업을 하며 사회문화적 맥락에 적응적이고 지속가능한 커뮤니티 발달을 도모할 수 있으므로 적극적인 연구 및 실행이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 CoMT의 핵심개념을 도식화하여 제시함으로서 구성요소와 개념 이해를 명료화할 수 있었고, CoMT 관련 후속 연구 및 실행의 기틀을 마련한 데 의의가 있다.

한국의 음악저작권은 신탁체제를 도입하고 있으며 대부분의 음악저작물들이 정부에서 승인한 신탁관리단체에 의해 관리되고 있다. 음악의 산업구조가 음반산업에서 온라인 음악시장위주로 변하면서 음악저작물에 대한 권익이 필요한 부분들이 늘어났다. 한국 정부는 시대적 요구 및 산업환경의 변화와 업계와 저작작들의 요구에 따른 징수체제를 계속적으로 개정하여 발표하였다. 그러나 실질적인 창작의 주체인 저작권자들의 수익분배가 제대로 이루어지지 못하고 있는 상황이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 한국의 저작권료 분배체제와 현황을 파악하고, 최근 논쟁의 중심에 있는 온라인 상에서 음원서비스에 대한 징수 체제인 정액제와 종량제를 고찰하여 창작자에 대한 저작권료 분배를 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과로 우선 정액제와 종량제는 아직도 창작자에 대한 권익이 타당하게 책정되지 못하고 있다. 그러므로 제도적 개선이 여전히 필요하다.

흑인음악은 미국 내에서 소박한 민요에서부터 '재즈','알앤비','소울','펑크' 음악을 포함하는 매우 포괄적인 개념이다. 5음 음계의 싱코페이션을 사용하는 독특한 아프리카적 특성과 가스펠의 영향을 받으면서 발전하게 된다. 흑인 음악 장르의 다양성은 인종차별에 대한 역사적 흐름과 지역적 특색과 더불어 백인들과의 음악적 퓨전에서 찾을 수 있다. 미국 흑인음악의 거장 '스티비원더'. 흑인음악의 아버지라는 타이틀과 함께 그에게는 신체적 특징이 있다. 그것은 장애를 극복하면서, 수많은 음반과 히트곡 그리고 수 없이 많은 상을 차지하며, 미국을 넘어 전 세계적인 인기를 구가하는 뮤지션이 됐다는 점이다. 실용 음악사에 놓칠 수 없는 '스티비원더' 의 삶과 음악 그리고, 정신을 계승, 발전시켜 나아가야 함은 이 시대와 앞으로의 우리들의 음악을 폭넓게 밝혀주는 주요한 요소 중의 하나일 것 이다. 스티비원더의 모험 정신과 천재성은 앞으로도 우리나라 대중음악 및 뮤지션에게 큰 영향을 주게 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 흑인 음악의 거장 '스티비원더'의 작품을 분석하고 악기 구성과 리듬의 독특함이 우리나라의 대중음악 뮤지션에게 어떠한 영향을 주었는지 연구 한다.

Purpose: Music therapy helps alleviate anxiety, depression, and pain for cancer patients, contributing to stress relief. With such advantages, music therapy is applied across a broad spectrum of treatment areas, including mental disorders, developmental disabilities, and conditions affecting the elderly. It has been shown to enhance the quality of life for terminally ill cancer patients. Recent research has revealed its positive effects in boosting immune function and resilience. In light of these findings, the author conducted a study to investigate patient satisfaction with music listening. Materials and Methods: First, a survey was conducted with 30 individuals to inquire about the perceived necessity of listening to music in a waiting area. Next, participants were asked whether listening to music could contribute to psychological stability. Finally, preferences for music genres and satisfaction with music listening were assessed with a sample of 20 individuals. Results: In terms of the perceived necessity of listening to music in the waiting area, 28 out of 30 individuals, or 93%, expressed agreement. Regarding the belief that music listening could contribute to psychological stability, 28 out of 30 individuals, or 93%, believed that it would indeed help with stability. When it comes to preferred music genres, 4 individuals (13%) favored classical music, 2 individuals (6%) preferred traditional Korean music, 2 individuals (6%) enjoyed trot music, and 20 individuals (66%) had no specific genre preference. As for music listening satisfaction, 17 out of 20 individuals, or 85%, reported being satisfied. Conclusion: When patients visit the hospital, stress can increase due to concerns about their medical conditions. To address this, providing a variety of music genres at the hospital has been effective in reducing patient stress and promoting psychological stability.

In this paper, we propose a smart system that can optically recognize a music score within a document and can play the music after recognition. Many historic handwritten documents have now been digitalized. Converting images of a music score within documents into digital files is particularly difficult and requires considerable resources because a music score consists of a 2D structure with both staff lines and symbols. The proposed system takes an input image using a mobile device equipped with a camera module, and the image is optimized via preprocessing. Binarization, music sheet correction, staff line recognition, vertical line detection, note recognition, and symbol recognition processing are then applied, and a music file is generated in an XML format. The Music XML file is recorded as digital information, and based on that file, we can modify the result, logically correct errors, and finally generate a MIDI file. Our system reduces misrecognition, and a wider range of music score can be recognized because we have implemented distortion correction and vertical line detection. We show that the proposed method is practical, and that is has potential for wide application through an experiment with a variety of music scores.

This study examines the morphological and expressive aspects of fashion and its connection to music at Korean music festivals. The research involves a theoretical review and a case study analyzing fashion and music at rock, EDM, hip-hop, and jazz festivals in Korea from 2019 to 2023. The process of selecting fashion cases was reviewed by experts in the field of fashion, and expert focus group interviews were used. The study found that while fashion and music differ in terms of their fundamental morphological components of sensory media, they share features in terms of sensory harmony between their components. In terms of expressive aspects of fashion, it was found that the subject and object of expression are the same for the artist and for the audience. Both music and fashion have sensory transmission and communication between the subject and the audience, and both transmit personal and social meaning. Using these commonalities as indicators of relevance, a relevance evaluation was conducted. As a result of the evaluation, popular music festival fashion and music were interpreted as having a high degree of relevance in terms of expressing emotions and tastes, providing a sense of belonging to a community, and conveying cultural meaning.

본 연구는 GIM 음악치료사의 GIM 치료에서의 음악선택에 대하여 고찰하고자 하는 것이다. 학술지 데이터베이스 7개와 음악치료 전문학술지 9개를 대상으로 1964년부터 2013년까지의 연구를 검색하였다. 검색어는 "Guided Imagery and Music", "GIM", "Helen Bonny", "Bonny method", "Music and Imagery", "BMGIM"였다. 초기 검색된 모든 연구의 초록을 확인하여 1차 선정된 126개의 연구에서 음악선택이 명시된 12개의 연구를 최종 선택하여 내러티브 문헌 고찰을 하였다. 12개의 연구에 대한 문헌고찰 결과 GIM 치료사들은 내담자의 이슈와 관련된 기분, 정서, 느낌의 특색(quality), 치료에서 다루어지는 내담자의 주제(theme)와 연관성이 있는 음악을 선택하였다. 이중 특히 5개의 연구에서는 내담자의 상태(state)와 연관 지을 수 있는 음악을 여러 음악요소를 분석적으로 고려하여 선택함으로써 보다 개연성을 가진 음악선택의 이유를 확인할 수 있었다. 문헌고찰을 위해 선택된 126개의 연구 대부분은 사례연구로 연구자 고유의 관점으로 질적으로 기술하고 있어 연구들 간의 공통점을 도출하는 것에는 한계가 있었다. 본 문헌고찰 연구를 통해 음악중심의 심층 음악심리치료기법인 GIM에서 음악선택에 대한 임상적 근거 마련을 위해 보다 기초적인 연구가 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다.

본 연구는 음악치료 교과과정의 효율성을 알아보기 위해 4개의 대학원의 음악치료학과 학생들 100명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 대상자들이 가장 필요성을 높이 인식하고 중요하다고 생각하는 과목은 음악치료기술(23.2%)로 조사되었다. 대학원 진학 전 학부전공이 음악전공인 학생들과 음악 외 전공인 학생들의 음악기술영역에 대한 역량 및 자신감이 다르게 나타났으며, 실습의 단계가 가장 높은 학생들의 임상에 대한 자신감이 높은 반면 인턴쉽 과정에서 다소 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 상담 및 심리학 관련 과목의 개설에 대한 욕구가 가장 높았으며(19.7%) '음악치료사로서의 전문성'을 가장 중요시 여기는 것으로 나타났다(51.8%). 이러한 결과들은 음악치료학과 대학원생들이 인식하는 음악치료 교과과정의 효율성에 대한 정보를 제공하고, 기초 지식과 역량에 맞는 효율적인 교과과정을 제공하기 위한 필요성과 중요성을 제시하는 데 그 의의를 갖는다.
