Active movement is able to actively contract his muscles and move a segment either with or without assistance. This movement maintain physiologic elasticity and contractility of the participating muscles, provide sensory feedback from the contracting muscles and stimulus for bone integrity as well as increase circulation and prevent thrombus formation, in addition to develop coordination and moor skills for functional activities. Passive movement is the motion to the external force; gravity, machine, another individuals. Active movement is more activated rather than passived on the central nervous system. Therefore, we think that active movement is more effected facilitating through specific inhibitory mobilization of muscle.
The 30 percent or more women who have urinary incontinence have some problem in contraction of perineal muscles. In fact. to increase the strength of perineal muscles, voluntary muscle contraction is more effective than electrical contraction. Electrical stimulation or bio feedback therapy is safe and effective therapy for Patients who have complex urinary incontinence. because these therapies can solve the problems of the voluntary perineal muscle contraction these therapies can help women to know to contract the perineal muscles effectively. The combined therapy ie. Electrical stimulation and bio feedback therapy with pelvic muscle training program or bladder drill can be considered as good treatment method. Pelvic floor muscle exercise is importance to make patient itself participate by making to be interested about exercise and by tacking motivations at therapy to themselves.

Today, many people are sitting on chair in their life. If a sitting posture is not correct, there is some trouble with the waist. And if it goes on long time, sometimes it cause the hurts of waist or the deformded spinal column. A crouched posture is an obstacle to breath and it give rise to drowsiness because the lack of oxygen. Sitting posture is a habit so people can't feel it oneself and look over some kind of risks. It analyzes a condition of muscles by measuring EMG of spinal both side of spin al-bones. It can have a right sitting posture by the analyzing that increasing of muscles tention in one or the other side of muscles when the posture inclines on one side or ahead.
This study was performed to provide normative isokinetic strength of knee muscles of middle school non-athletic and athletic populations for rehabilitation and pre-season screening for injury prevention. Seven non-athletic subjects and 8 hockey players participated in this investigation. Each subject was tested at speeds of $60^{\circ}/sec$, $180^{\circ}/sec$, and $300^{\circ}/sec$. The free weight of lower leg was measured at speed of $60^{\circ}/sec$ to take gravity effect Into consideration when peak torque of knee muscles occurred. The results showed that the relative peak torque production of knee flexors did not change but the relative peak torque of knee extensors decreased significantly. Mamstring/quadriceps ratios increased mainly due to significant decreases in knee extensors torque production. No significant differences were found between groups. The hamstring/quadriceps ratios for both groups were significantly lower when the gravity effect was not eliminated.
Temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJ OA) causes destruction of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and can lead to occlusal changes such as anterior open bite in some patients. Consequently, these patients may experience difficulty in chewing food items and exhibit abnormal functional habits such as bruxism, preventing healing of the TMJ condyles. Treatment protocols include the use of traction appliances to reduce stress on the condyles. Unstable occlusions can lead to weakness of the masticatory muscles which, in turn, worsen the occlusal changes and complicate pain management. Therefore, the current study evaluated the condition of the masseter muscle using ultrasonography and educated patients on the execution of gum-chewing exercises for muscle strengthening. It also aimed to assess the effects of traction appliances and strengthening exercises on the masticatory muscles of patients with occlusal changes caused by TMJ OA.
The objective of this study was to investigate the physico-chemical and sensory properties of loin (m. longissimus dorsi) and top round (m. semimembranosus) beef from 3-, 6-, 9-, and 12 mon-old Holstein calves. For both loin and top round muscles, the moisture contents were decreased, whereas the protein and fat contents were increased, as the slaughtering age increased. In terms of meat color, for both muscle types, CIE $L^*$ values were decreased, whereas CIE $a^*$ values and myoglobin content increased as the slaughtering age increased. pH values were significantly higher in the 3 mon-old group than in the other groups. The Warner-Bratzler shear force (WBSF) values were lowest for loin muscles from the 12 mon-old group; however, there was no significant difference for top round muscle among the 4 age groups. Cooking loss for both loin and top round muscles were significantly higher for the 3 mon-old group than for the other groups. The water holding capacity (WHC) of both muscles were highest for the 12 mon-old groups (p<0.05). In fatty acid composition of the 12 mon-old groups, loin muscles had significantly higher levels of C14:0, C16:1n7, C18:1n9, and mono-unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA), and top round muscles had significantly higher levels of C16:1n7, C18:1n7, C18:1n9, MUFA, MUFA/SFA. Loin muscle from the 3- and 12 mon-old groups had significantly higher scores for tenderness and overall likeness. Top round muscle from the 9- and 12 mon-old groups had significantly higher scores for overall likeness than those from the other age groups.
Many muscles of the trunk and hip are capable of contributing to the stabilization and protection of the lumbar spine. To have optimal effectiveness, a training program should include dynamic back/stomach/hip exercises. This study was designed to assess the L5 level paraspinal, external abdominal oblique, and gluteus maximus muscle activities during various low back stabilization exercises. Participants were 26 healthy adults (13 males, 13 Females), aged 21 to 28 years. The surface electromyography (EMG) was recorded from the L5 level paraspinal, external abdominal oblique, and gluteus maximus muscles. The recorded signal was averaged and normalized to the maximal electromyographic amplitude obtained during the maximal voluntary contraction. The measurements were taken during 3 low back stabilization exercises. One-way analysis of variance with repeated measures was used to examine the difference, and a post hoc test was performed with least significant difference. A level of significance was set at p<.05. The significance of difference between men and women, and between the electromyographic recording sites was evaluated by an independent t-test. The EMG activity for the externus oblique and gluteus maximus muscles had significant differences among 3 exercises (p<.05). In males, the EMG activity for the external abdominal oblique muscle had significantly increased differences during exercises 1 and exercise 2 (p<.05). The gluteus maximus muscle had significantly increased differences during exercise 2 and exercise 3 (p<.05). In females, the multifidus muscle had significantly increased difference during exercise 3 (p<.05), the external abdominal oblique muscle had significantly increased difference during exercise 1 (p<.05). and the gluteus maximus muscle had significantly decreased difference during exercise 3 (p<.05). The results were that the external abdominal oblique muscle was apparently activated during the curl-up exercise in females and males, and the multifidus muscle was apparently activated during the bridging exercise in females and during the sling exercise in males and females.1)In comparison of the %MVC between males and females, exercise 2 and exercise 3 apparently activated of the multifidus and gluteus maximus muscles in both males and females (p<.05). The EMG activity of the gluteus maximus muscle of the males significantly increased during exercise 2 and exercise 3 (p<.05). The EMG activity the multifidus muscle of the females was significantly increased during exercise 2 and exercise 3 (p<.05). More research is needed to understand the nature of motor control problems in the deep muscles in patients with low back pain.
