In this paper, we consider the method which a secret information is distributed in hard-copied image using visual cryptography that the secret can be identifying simply by human eyes. If slides constructed by patterning, which is one of dithering method, are considered from the viewpoint of visual cryptography, each slides will maintain the shape of original image because these slides have different Hamming weights. Therefore, this method has the advantage that information distributed into slides by stacking them can decode and the shape about the original image can be keeping as well. In this paper, we propose the method which shares the secret information into multiple original images by extension of ONM (Oka-Nakamura-Matsui) method which is devised to embed a secret information on hard-copied image. As a result, this proposed method is applicable to digital watermark because the copyright of image can be identified by stacking an image of owner for verification and the distributed multiple images.

Fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy sets (FNIFSs), each of which is characterized by a membership function and a non-membership function whose values are trigonometric fuzzy number rather than exact numbers, are a very useful means to describe the decision information in the process of decision making. Wang [10] developed some arithmetic aggregation operators, such as the fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging (FIFWA) operator, the fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (FIFOWA) operator and the fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid aggregation (FIFHA) operator. In this paper, based on the FIFHA operator and the FIFWA operator, we investigate the group decision making problems in which all the information provided by the decision-makers is presented as fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrices where each of the elements is characterized by fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, and the information about attribute weights is partially known. An example is used to illustrate the applicability of the proposed approach.
In Korea, deep-sea fishing industry is faced with pressure of being thrown out of business, because of the upcoming unfavorable business conditions such as the fishing regulation of coastal countries, Korea-US Free Trade Agreement(KORUS FTA), and the other socio-economic changes. Hence, we present an evaluation of future business competitive for the deep-sea fishing industry so that the government can develop a concession plan for the deep-sea fishing industry by utilizing the results of this study. In efficiency analysis of deep-sea fishing industry, the decision maker may have two problems: (1) how to deal with multiple inputs and outputs of deep-sea fishing industry and (2) how to assign the weights on different inputs and outputs, In this paper, we proposed to use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to estimate efficiency of deep-sea fishing industry with multiple inputs and outputs. In the DEA, The direct impact of KORUS FTA, fishing regulation of coastal countries, fishing charges, and competitive fishing conditions were used as input parameters while the profitability and secured fishing quarters, as outputs. The results of DEA-BCC model indicate that 6 out of 12 DUMs have better efficiency under variable return to scale assumption.

The purpose of this study is to provide a decision support to select an appropriate layered manufacturing(LM) machine that suits the application of a part. Selection factors include concept model, form/fit/functional model, pattern model far molding, material property, build time and part cost that greatly affect the performance of LM machines. However, the selection of a LM is not an easy decision because they are uncertain and vague. For this reason, the aim of this research is to propose hybrid multiple attribute decision making approaches to effectively evaluate LM machines. In addition, because subjective considerations are relevant to selection decision, a fuzzy logic approach is adopted. The proposed selection procedure consists of several steps. First, we identify LM machines that the users consider After constructing the evaluation criteria, we calculate the weights of the criteria by applying the fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method. Finally, we construct the fuzzy Technique of Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS) method to achieve the ranking order of all machines providing the decision information for the selection of LM machines.
This paper presents a R&D investment model for Information and telecommunications (I&T) technology, which can be used by group decision makers, using multiple objective linear programming (MOLP). The MOLP model involves the simultaneous maximization of three linear objective functions associated with three criteria, which are social, technological, and economic criterion. This model is different from the traditional one which only involves the maximization of economic criterion. The presented problem in this model can be formulated as a problem of optimizing a linear function over an efficient set of MOLP. Its application to the National R&D Project in I&T Industry is also presented. In this application, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is proposed to estimate the weights, which are used as the coefficients in each objective function of the MOLP model and in a linear decision function. By solving this problem, it yields a suitable R&D investment ratio to each technology field. It is showed that the MOLP model can be useful decision aid in formulating R&D investment plan in I&T industry which needs to be decided by group decision makers, not by an individual. It is expected that the MOLP model works as the basis for planning R&D investment strategy in I&T industry.

Vision-based Human Pose Estimation has been considered as one of challenging research subjects due to problems including confounding background clutter, diversity of human appearances and illumination changes in scenes. To tackle these problems, we propose to use a new multi-stage convolution machine for estimating human pose. To provide better heatmap prediction of body joints, the proposed machine repeatedly produces multiple predictions according to stages with receptive field large enough for learning the long-range spatial relationship. And stages are composed of various modules according to their strategic purposes. Pyramid stacking module and dilation module are used to handle problem of human pose at multiple scales. Their multi-scale information from different receptive fields are fused with concatenation, which can catch more contextual information from different features. And spatial and channel information of a given input are converted to gating factors by squeezing the feature maps to a single numeric value based on its importance in order to give each of the network channels different weights. Compared with other ConvNet-based architectures, we demonstrated that our proposed architecture achieved higher accuracy on experiments using standard benchmarks of LSP and MPII pose datasets.
This paper discusses American disability theater's representations of disability identity and disability identity politics. Dramatists John Belluso and Lynn Manning, among others, present characters with disabilities who experience oppressions at multiple, interlocking levels of domination on the basis of disability, race, and ethnicity. In Manning's Shoot, the black, blind hero iterates episodes in which he experienced discrimination and insults in encounters with whites who used derogatory racist words or belittled him and with some school children who taunted him for just being blind. This play, as in Manning's solo performance, Weights, presents narratives of a blind person traversing multiple locations of oppression in "a long litany of losses" in a white-dominated and ableist society. Belluso's Gretty Good Time similarly weaves together stories of disabled women, Gretty and Hideko, who bond together to resist the dominant ideology that reduces them into titillating commodities of mass consumption. Hideko's story serves the two-fold function of both affirming the specificity of her individual experience as an ethnic other and espousing the communal experience of stigmatization she shares with other disabled women like Gretty. In these plays, the intersection of the identity categories of disability, race, and ethnicity highlights the diversity of the body and the fluidity of boundaries, foregounding the specificity of disabled bodies, while at the same time overthrowing the hierarchical binarism between disabled and "normal" bodies.

This paper studies the application of a fuzzy-ARTMAP (FAM) neural network to multi-user detector (MUD) for direct sequence (DS)-code division multiple access (CDMA) system. This method shows new solution for solving the problems, such as complexity and long training, which is found when implementing the previously developed neural-basis MUDs. The proposed FAM based MUD is fast and easy to train and includes capabilities not found in other neural network approaches; a small number of parameters, no requirements for the choice of initial weights, automatic increase of hidden units, no risk of getting trapped in local minima, and the capabilities of adding new data without retraining previously trained data. In simulation studies, binary signals were generated at random in a linear channel with Gaussian noise. The performance of FAM based MUD is compared with other neural net based MUDs in terms of the bit error rate.

An Algorithm based on direct implementation of variable structure systems theory approach is proposed for on-line training of multilayer perceptrons. Network structures which have multiple inputs, single output and one hidden layer are considered and the weights are assumed to have capabilities for continuous time adaptation. The zero level set of the network learning error is regarded as a sliding surface in the learning parameters space. A sliding mode trajectory can be brought on and reached in finite time on such a sliding manifold. Results from simulated on-line identification task for a two-link planar manipulator dynamics are also presented.
The obligate aerobic Deinococcus are highly resistant against lethal effect of UV-and ionizing-radiation. Only five mesophilic Deinococcus species, i. e. D. radiodurans, D. radiophilus, D. proteolyticus, D. radiopugnans, and D. grandis are known. Since an indispensable role of catalase has been suggested in protecting cells against oxidative stress and UV radiation, Deinococcal catalase activity of each species and electrophoretic profiles of catalases were investigated on gel. Total catalase activity was varied among the species in the aerobically grown culture at stationary phase. The occurrence of multiple forms of catalases with different molecular weights in four species of Deinococcus and of a single catalase in D. radiopugnans suggests that each species shows the unique catalase profiles on gel. Some Deinococcal catalases also exhibit peroxidase activity. Since Deinococcus spp. are less-distinct to each other in their morphology, biochemical and physiological properties, the catalase profiles on PAGE would be useful in identifying the species of Deinococcus.
