NEMS (Nano-Electro-Mechanical Systems) devices play a significant role in the advancement of prosthetic hands due to their unique properties at the nanoscale. Their integration enhances the functionality, sensitivity, and performance of prosthetic limbs. Understanding the electro-thermal buckling behavior of such structures is crucial since they may be subjected to extreme heat. So, in this paper, the two-dimensional hyperbolic differential quadrature method (2D-HDQM) integrated with a four-variable refined quasi-3D tangential shear deformation theory (RQ-3DTSDT) in view of the trace of thickness stretching is extended to study electro-thermal buckling response of three-directional poroelastic FG (3D-PFG) circular sector nanoplate patched with piezoelectric layer. Aimed at discovering the real governing equations, coupled equations with the aid of compatibility conditions are employed. Regarding modeling the size-impacts, nonlocal refined logarithmic strain gradient theory (NRLSGT) with two variables called nonlocal and length scale factors is examined. Numerical experimentation and comparison are used to indicate the precision and proficiency related to the created procedure. After obtaining the outputs of the mathematics, an appropriate dataset is used for testing, training and validating of the artificial intelligence. In the results section will be discussed the trace associated with multiple geometrical and physical factors on the electro-thermal buckling performance of the current nanostructure. These findings are essential for the design and optimization of NEMS applications in various fields, including sensing, actuation, and electronics, where thermal stability is paramount. The study's insights contribute to the development of more reliable and efficient NEMS devices, ensuring their robust performance under varying thermal conditions.
Background : The measuring instruments for customer satisfaction in hospitals are often composed of some dimensions reflecting the conceptive complexity of them. Then, overall satisfaction would be expected to be equal the 'weighted' sum of scores by dimensions because the importance rated by customers may be different across the dimensions. But the issue of how to weight the dimensions with importance is not yet solved. We examined 3 sets of weighting methods as to make effect on predictive power against overall satisfaction. Methods : We conducted a survey included 483 subjects who had visited or admitted to a university hospital, using the short form questionnaire being developed by The Korean Society of Quality Assurance in Health Care for out-patient and in-patient. By using a multiple linear regression model, we compared among changes of explanatory powers against overall satisfaction as dependent variable after weighting 4 dimensions of the survey questionnaire as independent variables with importance scores of dimensions perceived by consumers. And we compared the feasibility of each weighting, methods by checking missing cases. Results : There were no weighting methods increasing the explanatory power after applying them. The method of absolute scoring was found higher explanatory-power than others, but this finding had no statistical significance. Regarding the number of missing value, method of absolutely scoring had the least cases. Conclusion : Our findings suggested that weighting the dimensions with importance might have little significance in the cases of scales having items highly correlated, such as consumers' satisfaction. Though asking with items to be answered absolutely, customers might be rating relatively in some degree and this method produced least missing cases. Considering these points, in the cases when weighting the dimensions with importance would be required, we suggest that weighting method by absolute scoring might be better than others.

In this paper, we proposed an automated areal feature matching method based on geometric similarity without user intervention and is applied into areal features of many-to-many relation, for confusion of spatial data-sets of different scale and updating cycle. Firstly, areal feature(node) that a value of inclusion function is more than 0.4 was connected as an edge in adjacency matrix and candidate corresponding areal features included many-to-many relation was identified by multiplication of adjacency matrix. For geometrical matching, these multiple candidates corresponding areal features were transformed into an aggregated polygon as a convex hull generated by a curve-fitting algorithm. Secondly, we defined matching criteria to measure geometrical quality, and these criteria were changed into normalized values, similarity, by similarity function. Next, shape similarity is defined as a weighted linear combination of these similarities and weights which are calculated by Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation(CRITIC) method. Finally, in training data, we identified Equal Error Rate(EER) which is trade-off value in a plot of precision versus recall for all threshold values(PR curve) as a threshold and decided if these candidate pairs are corresponding pairs or not. To the result of applying the proposed method in a digital topographic map and a base map of address system(KAIS), we confirmed that some many-to-many areal features were mis-detected in visual evaluation and precision, recall and F-Measure was highly 0.951, 0.906, 0.928, respectively in statistical evaluation. These means that accuracy of the automated matching between different spatial data-sets by the proposed method is highly. However, we should do a research on an inclusion function and a detail matching criterion to exactly quantify many-to-many areal features in future.

Purpose. This study examined Korean clinical nurses' intentions to care for SARS patients and identify determinants of the intentions. Theory of planned behavior was the framework to explain the intentions of Korean nurses for SARS patients care. Methods. A convenient sample of six hundreds and seventy nine clinical nurses from four university-affiliated hospitals located in Seoul and in Kyung-gi province was used. Self-administered (83-items) questionnaire was used to collect data. Intentions, attitude, subjective norm, perceive behavioral control, behavioral beliefs, normative beliefs, and control beliefs were the study variables. All items were measured using 7point Likert scale (-3 to +3). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation method, and stepwise multiple regression methods. Results. Intentions and attitudes toward SARS patient care among Korean clinical nurses were moderate, but their subjective norm and perceive behavioral control of SARS patients care were negative. Stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that attitude toward SARS patient care, perceived behavioral control, subjective norm were the determinants of the intentions for SARS patients care as theory proposed. Among the behavioral beliefs, 'SARS-patient caring would be a new experience', 'during SARS-patient caring, I should be apart from my family', 'after completing SARS-patient caring, I would be proud of myself being able to cope with a stressful event' and 'with my SARS-patient caring, patients could recover from SARS' were the significant determinants. Among the normative beliefs, colleague approval, spouse approval, and physician approval were significant determinants of the intentions. Among the control beliefs, 'SARS-patient caring would be a challenge' 'SARS-patient caring is a professional responsibility', 'tension during the care of SARS patients' and 'support from team members' were the significant determinants of the intentions. Conclusions. Korean clinical nurses in this study were not willing to care for SARS patients and showed negative attitude toward the care. They believed their friends and family were not approved their care for SARS patients. Nurses were in conflicts between professional responsibilities to care for SARS patients and personal safety. This study was the first to understand stress and burden of Korean clinical nurses who are in front line to care for newly developed communicable disease such as SARS. Under the circumstance where several fatal communicable diseases are predictable, conflicts between professional responsibility and their personal risks should be taken into considerations by nurses themselves and by nursing administrators in order to improve quality of care.
The purpose of this work is to gain a better understanding of the interrelationships between geological structures and slope failure in sedimentary rocks. In the studied slopes, construction-related slope failure could only be observed on the south-dipping slopes. This indicates that slope stability may be dependent on the angular relationships between the dip direction of bedding and the orientation of the slope. Slope failure continued, post-construction, around large fault zones in the studied outcrop; these fault damage zones are, however, not easily recognized in the field. Here we suggest a new method that uses accumulated fracture density to precisely identify fault damage zones. Multiple-faced slopes are now increasingly being exposed during large-scale construction projects in South Korea. This multiple-faced slope analysis indicates that the stability of a slope should be evaluated by identifying domains, through the analysis of possible slopes and their angular relationships with bedding and other discontinuities, prior to construction. Therefore, careful consideration of geological structures such as bedding and other discontinuities, and their angular relationships during the design of cuttings through sedimentary rocks, will increase the efficiency of construction and enable the safe construction of more stable slopes that will retain their stability after construction.
Biometric authentication is rising technology for the security market of the next generation. But most of biometric systems are developed using only one of various biological features. Recently, there is a vigorous research for the standardization of various biometric systems. In this paper, we propose a web-based authentication system using three other verifiers based on functional, parametric, and structural approaches for one biometrics of handwritten signature, which is conformable to a specification of BioAPI introduced by BioAPI Consortium for a standardization of biometric technology. This system is developed with a client-server structure, and clients and servers consist of three layers according to the BioAPI structure. The proposed neb-based multiple authentication system of one biometrics can be used to highly increase confidence degree of authentication without additional several biological measurements, although rejection rate is a little increased. That is, the false accept rate(FAR) decreases on the scale of about 1:40,000, although false reject rate(FRR) increases about 2.7 times in the case of combining above three signature verifiers. So the proposed approach can be used as an effective identification method on the internet of an open network. Also, it can be easily extended to a security system using multimodal biometrics.

Many researches on recognition of Korean characters have been undertaken. But while the majority are done on Korean character recognition, tasks for developing document recognition system have seldom been challenged. In this paper, I designed a recognizer of Korean courtesy amounts to improve error correction in recognized character string. From the very first step of Korean character recognition, we face the enormous scale of data. We have 2350 characters in Korean. Almost the previous researches tried to recognize about 1000 frequently-used characters, but the recognition rates show under 80%. Therefore using these kinds of recognizers is not efficient, so we designed a statistical multiple recognizer which recognize 16 Korean characters used in courtesy amounts. By using multiple recognizer, we can prevent an increase of errors. For the Postprocessor of Korean courtesy amounts, we use the properties of Korean character strings. There are syntactic rules in character strings of Korean courtesy amounts. By using this property, we can correct errors in Korean courtesy amounts. This kind of error correction is restricted only to the Korean characters representing the unit of the amounts. The first candidate of Korean character recognizer show !!i.49% of recognition rate and up to the fourth candidate show 99.72%. For Korean character string which is postprocessed, recognizer of Korean courtesy amounts show 96.42% of reliability. In this paper, we suggest a method to improve the reliability of Korean courtesy amounts recognition by using the Korean character recognizer which recognize limited numbers of characters and the postprocessor which correct the errors in Korean character strings.
The purpose of this study was to examine the stressors and stress coping styles of 6th grade el ementary school children and to explore the relationship between stressful life events and health symptoms and the effects of coping style which is theoretically considered to mediate the relationship between stress and health symptoms. The study subjects consisted of 329 in 6th grade elementary school children in Cheong-Ju city. Of the 329 subjects, 171 were boys and 158 were girls. For this study, three kinds of questionnaires were adopted as follows ; 1) Feel Bad Scale (FBS) by Lewis et al., 2) lazarus-Folkman's Way of coping questionnaire 3) Hee Sun Shin's Health Symptom questionnaire (HSQ) The researcher visited the school and collected data in the class using the questionnaire method after an explanation of the purpose and procedures was given to the children. Data collection was done for 10 days (from 5th to 15th of July 1997) . The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis using the SAS statistical program. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The mean score for the FBS was 211.37(range : 77-427), The most severe stressors perceived by children were parental divorce and other's smash or steal of my things. The most frequently experienced stressful life events were conflict with siblings and being scolded for other's fault. 2. The most frequently used stress coping style was the active coping (M=17.85), followed by passive (M=13.64) and magical one (M=13.42). 3. The mean score for the HSQ was 23.30(range : 0-72) The most frequently complained health symptoms were headache and having much worry about everything. 4. There was a significant relationship between stressful life events and health symptoms (r=.60, p<.001). Also, stressful life events were positively related with passive coping(r=.27, p<.001) and magical coping (r=.38, p<.001). Health symptoms were positively correlated with passive coping(r=.33, p<.001) and magical coping (r=.41, p<.001). 5. Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor was the variable of stressful life events. Health concerns, magical coping style, passive coping style and active coping style accounted for 49.15% of the variance in health symptoms. This study revealed that stressful life events correlated with health symptoms in 6th grade elementary school children and passive coping and magical coping had mediating effects on this relationship. The implication for nursing is that there is a need to develop supportive interventions for high risk population to decrease health problems due to stress.

This study examined the factors influencing the relationship between anger and happiness of university nursing students so that they can improve their happiness and perform their studies with better internalized values. The general characteristics, academic efficacy, self-directedness, self-resilience, anger scale, and subjective happiness of 401 nursing students were measured. The differences between these groups were analyzed using t-tests and ANOVA tests. Correlations among academic efficacy, self-directedness, self-resilience and psychological states were calculated using Pearson's correlation coefficient. Multiple group analysis was conducted for assessing the interaction effects of academic efficacy, self-resilience and self-directedness. Subjective happiness and predictors of the study (self-directedness and ego-resilience) were positively correlated with statistical significance. The lower the self-directedness was, the higher the subjective happiness that is reduced by anger was. The higher the self-elasticity, the lower the degree of the subjective happiness that is reduced by anger. Since the moderating effect of self-directedness has been demonstrated in the relationship between anger and happiness, it is necessary to consider instituting proper pedagogy so that the educational method of enhancing self-directedness can be reflected in the field of nursing.

The safety management of the emergency exit, by directly related to the $civil^{\circ}$Øs dead in the fire situation, have limited by which the fire station take the on-side and control-centered way of business processing, it is expect to the effects in which the citizen have to concern and to take part. From 2010 years in the back-ground, it is operated nationally the report and reward system on an illegal behavior of the emergency exit, it is happened to the unfit operating situation in the mission and direction of the system up which the exit paparazzi act with intent to receive the reward payments. The study suggests solution through analyzing the illegal emergency exit operation result of sixteen counties and the Seoul metropolitan from year 2010 to 2011. Firstly, the report destination is adjusted to the multiple use establishments and the large-scale multiple use facilities over the limit level is limited under five times the report events of the same people in the minor endorsement. And the fine incomes should be invested to the disaster prevention acting related with the exit. Secondly, for upgrade of the report accuracy, a reporter is received the possible information for the confirmation of an illegal act, has become to lead the pre-monitoring act which the reporter is can to take the safety education and to guide the information about season and vulnerable business location. Finally, considering the support way about the encounter facility, the fire officer is not happen to occur the repetitive report in the same place, is related to the volunteer service system the report acts, consider as the volunteer service time, and must support them to act as the disaster prevention volunteer.
