이차함수와 타원의 문제해결 지도를 위한 멀티미디어 학습자료 개발 (Development of Instructional Models for Problem Solving in Quadratic Functions and Ellipses)

  • Recently, most classrooms in Korea are fully equipped with multimedia environments such as a powerful pentium pc, a 43″large sized TV, and so on through the third renovation of classroom environments. However, there is not much software teachers can use directly in their teaching. Even with existing software such as GSP, and Mathematica, it turns out that it doesn####t fit well in a large number of students in classrooms and with all written in English. The study is to analyze the characteristics of problem-solving process and to develop a computer program which integrates the instruction of problem solving into a regular math program in areas of quadratic functions and ellipses. Problem Solving in this study included two sessions: 1) Learning of basic facts, concepts, and principles; 2) problem solving with problem contexts. In the former, the program was constructed based on the definitions of concepts so that students can explore, conjecture, and discover such mathematical ideas as basic facts, concepts, and principles. In the latter, the Polya#s 4 phases of problem-solving process contributed to designing of the program. In understanding of a problem, the program enhanced students#### understanding with multiple, dynamic representations of the problem using visualization. The strategies used in making a plan were collecting data, using pictures, inductive, and deductive reasoning, and creative reasoning to develop abstract thinking. In carrying out the plan, students can solve the problem according to their strategies they planned in the previous phase. In looking back, the program is very useful to provide students an opportunity to reflect problem-solving process, generalize their solution and create a new in-depth problem. This program was well matched with the dynamic and oscillation Polya#s problem-solving process. Moreover, students can facilitate their motivation to solve a problem with dynamic, multiple representations of the problem and become a powerful problem solve with confidence within an interactive computer environment. As a follow-up study, it is recommended to research the effect of the program in classrooms.

웹기반 영양교육 프로그램의 질 평가도구 개발 및 활용가능성 탐색 (How Can We Develop and Make Use of the Quality Assessment Tool of Web-Based Instruction(WBI) for Nutrition Education\ulcorner)

  • The purposes of this study were to: a) develop the quality assessment tool of Web-based Instruction (WBI) for nutrition education, b) evaluate the operated WBI (NutriZone) by this tool, and c) do the feasibility study about quality assessment tool for WBI by establishing the instruction and operating strategies. The developed quality assessment tool of WBI for nutrition education was divided into three categories of instruction design, contents and support & operation. And a total of forty items were measured by Likert 5 point scale, computed as one point per item, and amounted to forty points in all. As a result of evaluation, NutriZone got 21.79 out of 40 points and fulfillment rate of 54.5%. The IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) was applied to establish the instruction and operating strategies, and nine items characterized as attractiveness, multimedia, and learner-initiative were in 'Doing Great, Keep It Up', and so it was regar-ded as program designed with concern in WBI's characteristics unlike the conventional face-to-face education. But twelve items such as 'Errors on switch to other screens are few.', 'Ready correction leads to be out of systemic error.', 'Highlight marks and moving pictures were used in sign of importance.' and etc. that got high importance and low performance needed to be focused in instructional strategy.

청소년의 약물남용예방을 위한 웹 활용 학습 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (The Development and Effects of WEB Instruction Programs for Drug Abuse Prevention in Korean Adolescents)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop, through the integration of instructional theory, a Courseware and to investigate the effectiveness of a web-based computer assisted instruction(WBI) program for preventing drug abuse, a serious problem for youth problem. During the first stage of this study done "Drug Abuse Prevention" Courseware was developed based on, Gagn & Brigg's instructional design theory, Keller's ARCS theory and the CAI model of Hannafin & Peck. For the second stage, the courseware was used to provide education for students adolescents in drug abuse prevention. This study used an quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design with a convenience sample of 36 male high school students who were at one high school located in Seoul. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires which included a learning achievement tool, the Keller's IMMS (Instructional Material Motivation Survey), on attitudes to drug use, and on responses to the WBI instruction. Prior to the experiment, the "drug abuse prevention" learning method and the procedures of the study were explained to the students, and then the learning achievement of the subjects was measured as a pretest. The students were then given 2 weeks WBI utilizing the courseware. A post-test which included the pre-test learning achievement questionnaire and a survey of learning motivation and attitudes toward drug were given two weeks after the education was completed. The data analysis was done using SPSS/PC. Paired t-test was used to analyze the differences between the pre-test and post-test scores for learning achievement. The results of the analysis are as follows: There were significant differences in learning achievement between the pre-test and post-test(t=-18.62, p=0.000). The hypothesis, that learning achievement will be higher, after the class has used the courseware, than before was supported. The scores for learning motivation and attitudes toward drugs were also higher than the results of existing studies. In conclusion, this study suggests that WBI is an effective learning method in the prevention of drug abuse for adolescents as it can be used for self-learning and repeated learning as assisted instruction. Recommendation would be given that further research needs to be develped in the courseware by cognitive learning style and by multimedia courseware and virtual reality system.

유비쿼터스 환경의 원격교육을 위한 저작도구의 개발 (The Development of Authoring Tool for Distance Education of Ubiquitous Environment)

  • 본 논문은 자체 에디터가 포함된 벡터 기반의 원격교육시스템(FVU)을 개발함으로써 컨텐츠 제작의 편의성을 높이고, 보다 효율적으로 원격교육 매체를 제작할 수 있는 저작도구를 만들고자 하였다. 본 논문에서는 UML을 이용하여 저작도구를 설계하였으며 FVU라 명명하였다. FVU의 VUEditor에서는 강의에 필요한 첫 화면을 구성할 수 있으며, 이렇게 제작된 강의안은 Vector변환을 통해서 VUAuthor로 익스포트(Export)함으로써 파일 사이즈를 감소시키며, 낮은 대역폭을 형성하게 한다. 또한 교수자는 VUEditor에서 이미지 삽입, 도형 그리기, 텍스트 입력, 지우기 등의 작업을 할 수 있으며, VUAuthor에서 교재 제작 과정 중 잘못 그려진 선, 도형 등을 수정할 수도 있도록 설계되었다. 이러한 설계는 결과적으로 이미지 툴이나 파워포인트와 같은 응용 프로그램이 없어도 강의에 필요한 첫화면을 VUEditor 자체적으로 구성할 수 있도록 하였으며, 교수자의 컨텐츠 제작에 편의성을 향상시켰으며, 결과 파일의 크기가 작아지므로 유비쿼터스 무선 환경에서의 원격교육에 적합하도록 네트워크 트래픽의 문제를 다소 해결하였다.

통합교과로서의 게임 프로젝트 교육과정 운영방안 탐구 (A Study of Game Project Curriculum for Integrated Subject)

  • 본 연구는 이질적인 속성을 가진 학문분야들을 통합하여 하나의 교육과정으로 운영하는 프로젝트 중심 교육과정에 대한 운영 방안을 제안하고 있다. 통합교과의 의미는 게임 현장에서처럼 게임 기획, 프로그램, 그래픽과 같은 이질적인 분야의 학습자들을 대상으로 실제적인 하나의 결과물을 만들어낼 수 있도록 하는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구에서 제시되는 프로젝트 중심의 교육과정에 대한 운영방안은 국내에서 2008년도부터 A 교육기관에서 진행해온 게임 프로젝트 교육과정을 토대로 실증 및 분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 통합교과를 기반으로 하는 프로젝트 교육과정에 대한 운영 방안의 기준을 제시하고 있으며, 크게 두 가지 형태로 내용을 분류하여 구성하고 있다. 첫 번째는 학생들이 교육과정을 통해 "책임감" 및 "협업 능력"과 같이 학습되어지는 내용들에 대한 부분들을 정리하고 있으며, 두 번째로는 성공적인 프로젝트 교육과정을 운영하기 위해 단계별로 진행되는 팀 구성, 프로젝트 계획, 팀 운영 및 협업, 중간 및 기말 발표, 그리고 평가 부분에 대한 운영 방법론을 제시하고 있다. 이러한 제안된 운영방안이 통합 교과로서의 프로젝트 교육과정을 운영하는데 있어서 하나의 밑거름 및 가이드라인이 될 것으로 기대한다.
