Multi-Object Tracking using the Color-Based Particle Filter in ISpace with Distributed Sensor Network

  • Intelligent Space(ISpace) is the space where many intelligent devices, such as computers and sensors, are distributed. According to the cooperation of many intelligent devices, the environment, it is very important that the system knows the location information to offer the useful services. In order to achieve these goals, we present a method for representing, tracking and human following by fusing distributed multiple vision systems in ISpace, with application to pedestrian tracking in a crowd. And the article presents the integration of color distributions into particle filtering. Particle filters provide a robust tracking framework under ambiguity conditions. We propose to track the moving objects by generating hypotheses not in the image plan but on the top-view reconstruction of the scene. Comparative results on real video sequences show the advantage of our method for multi-object tracking. Simulations are carried out to evaluate the proposed performance. Also, the method is applied to the intelligent environment and its performance is verified by the experiments.

  • Ship optimal design is a multi-objective decision-making process and its optimal solution does not exit in general. It is a problem in which the decision-maker is very interested that an effective solution is how to be found which has good characteristic and is substituted for optimal solution in a sense. In the previous methods of multi-objective decision-making, the weighting coefficients are decided from the point of view of individuals which have a bit sub-jective an unilateral behavior. in order to fairly and objectively decide the weighting coeffi-cients, which are considered to be optimal in all system of multi-objective decision-making and satisfactory solution to the decision-maker, the pater presents a method of applying the Technology of the Biggest Entropy. It is proved that the method described in the paper is very feasible and effective be means of a practical example of ship optimal design.

Multi-perspective of Korean Folk Paintings (민화의 다시점을 활용한 애니메이션 표현기법 연구)

  • This study investigates how 'multi-perspective' can be utilized in animation. For this goal, 1 used the traditional techniques of Korean folk paintings called 'Minhwa.' Most 'Minhwa' works, employ 'multi-perspectives', instead of linear perspective of the Western tradition that has been only taught to students under the formal education system. In Minhwa parts of reality are not only stylized but also fragmented and combined within the same frame. Other common techniques of 'Minhwa' include frontal view, bird's eye view, and inverse-perspective, which are of ien combined in one single work. The purpose of this study is to develop a working principle and practically apply it to , an animation piece based on the Korean folktale of the same title. In doing so, I have proposed a way to reconstruct and revitalize the traditional art form in the age of digital technology and have concluded that 'Multi-perspective' in 'Minhwa' can be utilized in other contents such as animation.'Multi-perspective' in 'Minhwa' is a rich source that has numerous cultural applications.

  • This paper describes a collision avoidance method for planning safe trajectories for multi-robot system in common work space. Usually objects have been approximated to convex polyhedra in most previous researches, but in case using such the approximation method it is difficult to represent objects analytically in terms of functions and also to describe tile relationship between the objects. In this paper, in order to solve such problems a modeling method which approximates objects to cylinder ended by hemispheres and or sphere is used and the maximum distance functions is defined which call be calculated simply. Using an objective function with inequality constraints which are related to minimum distance functions, work range and maximum allowable angular velocities of the robots, tile collision avoidance for two robots is formulated to a constrained function optimization problem. With a view to solve tile problem a penalty function having simple form is defined and used. A simple numerical example involving two PUMA-type robots is described.

  • In this paper we have evaluated the degree of performance improvement in Multi-Carrier CDMA system adopting CCI canceller against MUI under mobile channel coexisting MU which is a major interference degrading the performance of Multi-carrier CDMA system. As a result of analysis, BER performance was improved by adopting CCI canceller and it was found that the amount of performance improvement was largely increased as Eb/No became higher. As an example, in case that data service BER = 10$^{-5}$ must be achieved with $E_{b/}$ $N_{o}$ = 12 ㏈, 4 users could be supported without CCI canceller while 30 users could be supported with CCI canceller, Also, we found that performance improving effect of 5$\times$10$^{-3}$ in a point of view BER could be achieved by adopting CCI canceller with fixed $E_{b/}$ $N_{o}$. o/. o/.

  • This paper introduces a gamma-ray measurement system for a transportable tomography which is applicable for an industrial process diagnosis. The gamma-ray measurement system consists of pulse mode operating 72 channel CsI detectors, main AMP-pulse shaper, single channel analyzer, counter and control PC. The CsI crystal is coupled with a PIN diode which is connected to an amplifier and pulse shaper. For a compact design, the amplifier and pulse shaping circuit are included in a single package. 36 sets of CsI detectors are connected to a multi-channel counter through single channel analyzers. A computer controls and collects data from two multi-channel counters. This configuration results in 72 channel counting system in total. The CT rotator and radiation measurement system are controlled by a PC with LabVIEW program. Tomographic data were measured for a phantom by the measurement system and transportable gamma-ray CT. From the experimental data image reconstructions were performed by ML-EM algorithm. The result showed that the CsI detector system can be a suitable component for transportable gamma-ray CT system.

  • This study shows how Incheon will advance into roadmap as multi-transport hub in Northeast Asia hereafter and be proposed an urgent tasks and roles to construct a multi-transportation system for Incheon, which has both an international airport and port. The multi-transportation point of view of inter-major cities competitiveness of total scores was proposed 1. Shanghai(64.8 points), 2 in Hongkong(64.5), 3 in Incheon(62.9), and 4 in Busan(60.4) and Incheon was estimated to have enough competitiveness to be the international multi-transport hub in Northeast Asia. Sea & Air transportation revealed the most important multi-transportation in the Incheon region. In conclusion, this research suggests a development plan for multi-transportation in Incheon. Firstly, it proposes construction of sea & air transportation distribution center and agreement that simplifies logistic process between Incheon and Tianjin, secondly, suggests to activate project for the purpose of creating a better sea-land transportation system between Incheon and Shanghai.

  • People have been interested in the next generation media and service over 3D by development of 3D industry and generalization of 3D-related content and equipment in recent year. Many researchers predict that a strong candidate is digital hologram. Holographic technology is classified to capture(or generation), processing, and display(or reconstruction). This paper discusses the digital holographic display system using hybrid image pickup system and proposes a new structure of digital holographic display system. Through the proposed method a digital hologram can be scalably serviced according to display equipments with various resolutions, computing power of decoding part, and network bandwidth.

  • 다양한 데이터에 대해 정확한 분석이 요구되는 분야가 증가하면서, 데이터를 효율적으로 가시화하는 방법에 대한 요구도 증가하고 있다. 분석에 효율적인 가시화란 데이터의 특성을 잘 표현함으로써 분석가가 데이터를 직관적으로 이해할 수 있도록 도와주는 것을 말한다. 이를 통해 데이터를 분석하는 시간을 줄이고 정확한 결과를 얻는데 도움을 준다. 본 논문에서는 가스 배관을 검사하기 위한 Geometry 피그(PIG:Pipeline Inspection Gauge)와 MFL 피그로부터 얻어지는 데이터를 다양한 방법으로 가시화하고 분석에 효과적인 가시화와 시스템의 구현에 대해 다룬다. 각 피그의 다중 센서를 통해 얻어온 데이터를 Line graph, Pseudo Color Image, 3D Surface, Polar View, 3D Pipeline View와 같은 다양한 방법으로 가시화하고 view들 간의 동기화 및 사용자 지정 view 배치를 통해 빠르고 정확한 분석을 가능하게 하는 여러 가지 방법에 대해 설명한다.

Parametric Array Signal Generating System using Transducer Array (트랜스듀서 배열을 이용한 파라메트릭 배열 신호 생성 시스템)

  • We present a parametric array signal generating system using $3{\times}16$ transducer array which is composed of multi-resonant frequency transducers of 20kHz and 32.5kHz. To drive transducer array, sixteen channel amplifier using LM1875 chips is designed and implemented, and the PXI system based on the LabView 8.6 for arbitrary signal generation and analysis is used. Using the proposed system, we measure sound pressure level and beam pattern of difference frequency and verify the nonlinear effect of difference frequency. The theoretical absorption range and the Rayleigh distance are 15.51m and 1.933m, respectively and we verify that sound pressure of difference frequency is accumulated and increased at the near-field shorter than the Rayleigh distance. We verify that the beam pattern of the measured difference frequency and the beam pattern obtained by the superposition of two primary frequencies are similar, and high directional parametric signal was generated.
