  • The study focuses on using remote sensing to gather data about the Earth's surface, particularly in urban environments, using satellites and aircraft-mounted sensors. It aims to develop a classification framework for road targets using multi-spectral imagery. By integrating Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with XGBoost, the study seeks to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of road target identification, aiding urban infrastructure management and transportation planning. A novel aspect of the research is the incorporation of quantum sensors, which improve the resolution and sensitivity of the data. The model achieved high predictive accuracy with an MSE of 0.025, R-squared of 0.85, RMSE of 0.158, and MAE of 0.12. The CNN model showed excellent performance in road detection with 92% accuracy, 88% precision, 90% recall, and an f1-score of 89%. These results demonstrate the model's robustness and applicability in real-world urban planning scenarios, further enhanced by data augmentation and early stopping techniques.

  • This research aims to develop the multiple channel electrochemical DNA chip using microfabrication technology. At first, we fabricated a high integration type DNA chip array by lithography technology. Several probe DNAs consisting of thiol group at their 5-end were immobilized on the gold electrodes. Then target DNAs were hybridized and reacted. Cyclic voltammetry showed a difference between target DNA and control DNA in the anodic peak current values. Therefore, it is able to detect a plural genes electrochemically after immobilization of a plural probe DNA and hybridization of non-labeling target DNA on the electrodes simultaneously. It suggested that this DNA chip could recognize the sequence specific genes.

  • The simulation of the ballistic trajectory of penetrator into the spaced multi-layer RC targets is very important to predict the hitting condition in subsequent target. Because of perturbation by lateral load of penetrator caused by asymmetric hitting position between penetrator and steel bar reinforcement, penetrator rotates and deviates from the straight path. Therefore, penetration capability of penetrator is decreased in the subsequent targets. This paper presents the result of the penetration of steel-bar-reinforced concrete target by using the explicit finite element code LS-DYNA. A series of computations is performed and compared to experimental data and the computed results are in good agreement with the experimental results over a wide range of velocities. And then we conduct the simulation according to various RC target hitting condition and impact velocities.

  • This paper improves Sherman's two-pulse method for angle estimation of two unresolved targets in phase comparison monopulse radar. The proposed method provides the angle information with only a single-pulse measurement instead of two pulses. The proposed method can estimate a single-target angle by single-target indicator, in contrast with previous techniques. The accuracy of angle estimation for proposed method is demonstrated by simulations.

  • This paper presents a robust tracker design method that is specific to the trajectories of target aircraft. This method assumes that representative trajectories of the target aircraft are available. The exact trajectories known to the tracker enables the incorporation of the exact data in the tracker design instead of the measurement data. An estimator is designed to have acceptable performance in tracking a finite number of different target trajectories with a capability to trade off the mean and maximum errors between the exact trajectories and the estimated or predicted trajectories. Constant estimator gains that minimize the cost functions related to the estimation or prediction error are computed off-line from an iterative algorithm. This tracker design method is applied to the longitudinal motion tracking of target aircraft.

  • This paper proposes a method to estimate the underwater target object's yaw angle using a sonar image. A simulator modeling imaging mechanism of a sonar sensor and a generative adversarial network for style transfer generates realistic template images of the target object by predicting shapes according to the viewing angles. Then, the target object's yaw angle can be estimated by comparing the template images and a shape taken in real sonar images. We verified the proposed method by conducting water tank experiments. The proposed method was also applied to AUV in field experiments. The proposed method, which provides bearing information between underwater objects and the sonar sensor, can be applied to algorithms such as underwater localization or multi-view-based underwater object recognition.

  • In order to improve the accuracy of small target detection more effectively, this paper proposes an improved single shot detector (SSD) target detection and recognition method based on cspdarknet53, which introduces lightweight ECA attention mechanism and Feature Pyramid Network (FPN). First, the original SSD backbone network is replaced with cspdarknet53 to enhance the learning ability of the network. Then, a lightweight ECA attention mechanism is added to the basic convolution block to optimize the network. Finally, FPN is used to gradually fuse the multi-scale feature maps used for detection in the SSD from the deep to the shallow layers of the network to improve the positioning accuracy and classification accuracy of the network. Experiments show that the proposed target detection algorithm has better detection accuracy, and it improves the detection accuracy especially for small targets.

  • A multiple target tracking (MTT) problem is to track a number of targets in clusttered environment, where measurements may contain uncertainties of measurement origin due to clutter, missed detection, or other targets, as well as measurement noise errors. Hence, an MTT filter should be introduced to resolve this problem. In this paper, a neural network is rpoposed as an MTT filter.
