The paper discusses the nature of Knowledge Organization Systems (KOSs) and shows how these can support digital library users. It demonstrates processes related to integration of KOS like the Dewey Decimal Classification, $22^{nd}$ edition (DDC22) in DSpace software (http://www.dspace.org/) for organizing and retrieving (browsing and searching) scholarly objects. An attempt has been made to use the DDC22 available in Bengali language and highlights the required mechanisms for system-level integration. It may help a repository administrator to build an IDR (Institutional Digital Repository) integrated with SKOS-enabled multilingual subject access systems for supporting subject descriptors based indexing (DC.Subject metadata element), structured navigation (browsing) and efficient searching.

Electrical discharge machining(EDM) is an important process of machining the injection mold. This paper includes efficient design processes of electrodes for EDM. Based on the solid modeler, electrodes can be created by boolean and offset operations with core/cavity models. The built-in offset operations of the solid modeler may occur unexpected results due to the limitations of the solid modeler. We proposed the multi-step and moving-face offset processes in order to apply the EDM clearances. The proposed design processes are implemented with Unigraphics Vl5 API functions and C language and tested on Windows NT 4.0.

A new brilliant service using human-voice and DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) technique is expected nowadays in order to obtain valuable information on the internet more easily. VoiceXML (Voice eXtensible Markup Language) is the right choice that makes the new service possible. In this paper, the design and implementation of IVR (Interactive Voice Response) server using VoiceXML is described, where it connects with internet and IVR server efficiently. IVR server using VoiceXML is composed of two groups: VoiceXML document handling and VoiceXML execution. Scenario part of IVR server corresponds to VoiceXML document, the execution is performed by VoiceXML execution.

In this paper, we present an English pronunciation correction system for Korean speakers and show some of experimental results on it. The aim of the system is to detect mispronounced phonemes in spoken words and to give appropriate correction comments to users. There are several English pronunciation correction systems adopting speech recognition technology, however, most of them use conventional speech recognition engines. From this reason, they could not give phoneme based correction comments to users. In our system, we build two kinds of phoneme models: standard native speaker models and Korean's error models. We also design recognition network based on phonemes to detect Koreans' common mispronunciations. We get 90% detection rate in insertion/deletion/replacement of phonemes, but we cannot get high detection rate in diphthong split and accents.

The paper describes system design of next-generation Ship Simulator using Virtual Reality (VRSS), well known as human-computer interaction. VRSS system is required to have special condition that comprises multiple user participants such as captain, officer, pilot, and quartermaster. To cope with that condition, core technologies were explored and proposed multi-networking system with broker server. The evaluation of the proposed system was done with PC-based immersion-type VR device, constituted with HMD (Head Mounted Display), Head Tracking Sensor, Puck, Headphone, and Microphone. Using the VR device, assessment test was carried out in a virtual bridge with 3D objects, which are created by VRML (Virtual Reality Model Language) program. As results of tests, it is shown that the cybernetic 3D objects were act as if real things in a real ship's bridge. Therefore, interesting interaction with participants can be obtained in the system, Thus, we found that the proposed system architecture can be applicable to VRSS system construction.

Applying concurrent structure and parallel processing are a common issue for these day's programs. In this research, Dynamic Programming is used to compare the parallel performance of Go language and Intel C++ Thread Building Blocks. The experiment was performed on 4 core machine and its result contains execution time under Simultaneous Multi-Threading environment. Static Optimal Binary Search Tree was used as an example. From the result, the speed-up of Go was higher than the number of cores, and that of TBB was close to it. TBB performed better in general, but for larger scale, Go was partially faster than the other.

기존의 헬리콥터 모델링은 주로 많은 가정들을 통한 수식 전개에 의존해 왔기 때문에 모델링이 어렵고, 특정 구간에서만 활용 가능하며, 모델링 구성이 바뀌면 많은 수정이 거쳐야 한다는 단점들이 제기되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 다물체 동역학 기법을 적용한 헬리콥터 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하여 AH-1 헬리콥터에 대한 모델링을 수행하였고, 또한 시뮬레이션 결과를 비행 시험 데이터 및 상용 헬리콥터 시뮬레이션 분석 도구인 FLIGHTLAB과 비교하여 그 가능성을 확인해 보았다.

This paper approaches the subject of consciousness and unconsciousness from a mathematical point of view. It sets up a hypothesis that when unconscious state becomes conscious state, high density energy is released. We argue that the process of transformation of unconsciousness into consciousness can be expressed using the infinite recursive Heaviside step function. We claim that differentiation of the potential of unconsciousness with respect to time is the process of being conscious in a world where only time exists, since the thinking process never have any concrete space. We try to attribute our unconsciousness to a special solution of the multi-dimensional advection partial differential equation which can be represented by the finite recursive Heaviside step function. Mathematical language explains how the infinitive neural process is perceived and understood by consciousness in a definitive time.

This study examined acculturation stress resulting from socio-demographic characteristics and psychological and social status of married immigrant women residing in the Jeonbuk region. Data were gathered from married immigrant women who were participating in non-profit agencies offering multi-cultural services and those who worked for business offices and stores in the Jeonbuk area. A structured self-administered questionnaire was used. A total of 280 questionnaires were distributed, and 210 were returned. Twenty three questionnaires were excluded from the study because of invalid responses, providing a final data pool of 187 responses. Hierarchical multiple regression analyses revealed that Korean language ability and levels of depression were significantly associated with acculturation stress among married immigrant women. Based on the findings of this study, interventions for reducing acculturation stress among married immigrant women and implications for future studies are discussed.

국내 무선 인터넷의 사용자 증가는 유선 인터넷 사용자 증가 추세를 앞지른 지 오래며, 그 기반이 되는 무선 인터넷 지원 기기와 기간 시설에 대란 확충은 이동통신 업체의 주 사업영역이 되고 있다. 이와 동시에 국제적인 WAP 포럼에서 제정한 WML(Wireless Markup Language)을 사용하여 저작된 무선 컨텐츠의 양적, 질적 성장 또한 이뤄지고 있으며, 대형 무선 컨텐츠 제공업체들도 속속 등장하고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 WML을 사용하여 대형 무선 컨텐츠률 저작할 때 요구되어지는 기능인 다수 개발자의 통시 저작 기능과 WML 문서내의 링크 관리 및 실시간 Push 서비스를 위한 스크립트 자동생성 등을 지원하는 WML 저작도구를 설계 및 구현하였다.
