다중거동 복합형 감쇠장치를 적용한 철골골조의 내진성능실험 (Seismic Performance Test of a Steel Frame with Multi-action Hybrid Dampers)

  • In this study, the effectiveness of a multi-action hybrid damper (MHD) composed of lead rubber bearing (LRB) and friction pad was verified in terms of seismic performance improvement of a frame structure. The LRB and the friction elements are connected in series, so the LRB governs the intial small deformation and the friction determines large deformation behavior. Cyclic loading tests were conducted by using a half scale steel frame structure with the MHD, and the results indicated that the structure became to have the stable trilinear hysteresis with large initial stiffness and first yielding due to the LRB, and the second yielding due to the friction. The MHD could significantly increase the energy dissipation capacity of the structure and the hysteresis curves obtained by tests were almost identical to the analytically estimated ones.

  • 신경의수를 제어하기 위해서는 사용자의 의도를 인식하는 신경신호 디코딩이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 다채널 말초 신경신호의 실시간 디코딩 방법을 제안한다. 말초 신경신호는 정중신경과 요골신경에서 측정되었으며 운동잡음은 국소 근사 다항식에 의해 제거되었다. 다음으로 활동전위는 k-평균 알고리즘으로 분류되었다. 특징벡터는 활동전위의 발화율로부터 추출되었으며 자기 조직화 특징지도를 통해 차원이 축소되었다. 마지막으로 다층 퍼셉트론으로 손동작을 분류하였다. 원숭이 실험에서 모든 신호처리가 실시간 제한조건 이내에 완료되었으며 높은 성공률로 손동작을 인식할 수 있었다.

  • We show that for an M-action on a compact Hausdorff uniform space, if it has at least two disjoint compact invariant subsets, then it is thickly syndetically sensitive. Additionally, we point out that for a P-M-action of a discrete abelian group on a compact Hausdorff uniform space, the multi-sensitivity is equivalent to both thick sensitivity and thickly syndetic sensitivity.

국제 기준에 부합하는 효과적 안전표지의 지각 특성 (Perceptional Characteristics of Effective Safety Signs Corresponding to International Criteria)

  • In usual safety signs are final means to transmit hazard information so that the importance of them cannot be emphasized too much. Nevertheless, in Korea, few people are interested in functions of safety signs so that evaluation of safety signs are seldom committed. This research was conducted to evaluate and compare perceptional characteristics of safety signs, especially "Fall" signs, by Semantic Differential Method and Multi-dimensional Scaling Method, with undergraduate students as well as industrial workers. According to research results on several signs evaluated high through suggested procedure, action inducibility was different for students majoring in different sciences, but it had common elements in the sense of 'openness' or 'arrangements'. Besides, perceptional images on safety signs were mainly recognized with bases of 'arrangement' for student group and 'simplicity' for industrial workers, respectively, and their maps corresponded well with each other by partial rotating so that students and workers seemed to recognize safety signs with similar factors though their name might be different. However, since perceptional characteristics including image map, comprehensibility, and action inducibility were similar for student group whereas those were not for worker group, it was concluded that the test for action inducibility would be absolutely necessary for safety signs for workers' group.

  • Dataset is getting more import to develop a learning based algorithm. Quality of the algorithm definitely depends on dataset. So we introduce new dataset over 200 thousands images which are fully labeled multi modal sensor data. Proposed dataset was designed and constructed for researchers who want to develop detection, tracking, and action classification in outdoor environment for surveillance scenarios. The dataset includes various images and multi modal sensor data under different weather and lighting condition. Therefor, we hope it will be very helpful to develop more robust algorithm for systems equipped with difference kinds of sensors in outdoor application. Case studies with the proposed dataset are also discussed in this paper.

판재의 돌기성형을 위한 공정 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Multi-Action Die for the Forming Process of Serrated Sheets)

  • This paper is concerned with the development of multi-action die or multiple sliding die for the forming process of serrated sheets. Serrated sheets is used as a toothed or serrated seal for securing together overlapping portions of steel or plastic strapping ligature and have been produced conventionally in several methods such as rolling and indentation. Recently, longitudinally oriented thermoplastic materials have been widely used in the strapping industry, while such materials are quite slippery. Provided projections on a seal biting into the strap should overcome the slipperiness and also the tooth configuration must be closely controlled to avoid too much transverse penetration of the strap which could result in the shredding of the strap when it is placed under tension. The seal includes a central portion with a plurality of teeth which bite into one strap portion and a pair of reversely bent legs with a plurality of teeth which bite into the other strap portion. Forming processes applicable for serrated sheets have reviewed in qualitative sense to find possibility in terms of applicability of one of existing processes to the serrated sheet forming process. Existing seal products have been analyzed with enlarged picture of strap contacting surface of the seal by microscope. Based on the analyses of the existing forming processes and seal products, a new forming process is proposed for serrated sheets. The proposed process requires a multislide die which enables inclined indentation or cut-in into the seal material as well as scratching processes sequentially in a single action press.

  • Support Vector Machines (SVMs) is applied to a practical problem as one of standard tools for machine learning. The application of Reinforcement Learning (RL) and SVMs in action of mobile robot is investigated. A technique to decide the action of autonomous mobile robot in practice is explained in the paper, The proposed method is to find n basis for good action of the system under unknown environment. In multi-dimensional sensor input, the most reasonable action can be automatically decided in each state by RL. Using SVMs, not only optimal decision policy but also generalized state in unknown environment is obtained.

Multiscale Spatial Position Coding under Locality Constraint for Action Recognition

  • – In the paper, to handle the problem of traditional bag-of-features model ignoring the spatial relationship of local features in human action recognition, we proposed a Multiscale Spatial Position Coding under Locality Constraint method. Specifically, to describe this spatial relationship, we proposed a mixed feature combining motion feature and multi-spatial-scale configuration. To utilize temporal information between features, sub spatial-temporal-volumes are built. Next, the pooled features of sub-STVs are obtained via max-pooling method. In classification stage, the Locality-Constrained Group Sparse Representation is adopted to utilize the intrinsic group information of the sub-STV features. The experimental results on the KTH, Weizmann, and UCF sports datasets show that our action recognition system outperforms the classical local ST feature-based recognition systems published recently.

향상된 Multi Gray-Leveling을 통한 VoIP 스팸 탐지 기법 (A Scheme of VoIP Spam Detection Using Improved Multi Gray-Leveling)

  • 본 논문은 VoIP 환경에서 Call 스팸 대응 방법으로 제안된 Multi Gray-Leveling 기법에서 존재하는 오류를 감소시킨 향상된 Multi Gray-Leveling 기법을 제안한다. 기존 Multi Gray-Leveling 기법은 두 개의 다른 시간 주기를 두고 송신자의 호 연결시간 간격을 체크하여 스팸 가능성을 판단함으로 공격자의 호 연결시간 간격 조절을 통한 탐지 회피 가능성을 제한하는 장점이 있으나, 긴 주기의 설정에 따라서 정상 사용자도 스패머로 오판하는 가능성이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 오류를 방지하기 위해서 발신자의 행동 패턴뿐만 아니라 수신자의 행동 패턴까지 활용한 향상된 Multi Gray-Leveling 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 사용자의 직접적인 개입이 필요하지 않고, VoIP 서비스 제공자 데이터베이스의 수신자 통화 정보를 이용하여 손쉽게 계산이 가능한 장점을 가지고 있기 때문에 실효성 있는 VoIP 스팸 탐지 방법으로 활용될 수 있다.
