시계열 이동평균 변환을 이용한 노이즈 제어 윤곽선 이미지 매칭 (Noise Control Boundary Image Matching Using Time-Series Moving Average Transform)

  • 본 논문에서는 윤곽선 이미지 매칭에서 노이즈 제거 정도를 제어하기 위해 시계열 매칭의 이동평균 변환을 이용한다. 이동평균 변환을 윤곽선 이미지 매칭에 적용하게 된 동기는 이동평균 변환이 시계열의 노이즈를 감소시키므로, 이를 사용하면 윤곽선 이미지 매칭에서도 노이즈 제어 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것이라는 직관에 기반한다. 본 논문에서는 우선 윤곽선 이미지 매칭에 이동평균 변환을 적용한 $\kappa$-계수 이미지 매칭($\kappa$-order image matching)을 제안한다. 제안한 $\kappa$-계수 이미지 매칭은 윤곽선 이미지가 변환된 시계열에 $\kappa$-이동평균 변환을 적용하여 시계열(이미지) 간의 유사성을 판단한다. 다음으로, 대용량 이미지 데이터베이스를 대상으로 $\kappa$-계수 이미지 매칭을 수행하기 위한 인덱스 기반 매칭 방법을 제안하고, 그 정확성을 정형적으로 증명한다. 또한, 계수 $\kappa$와 매칭 결과와의 관계를 정형적으로 분석하고, 이에 기반하여 계수 $\kappa$를 변화시키면서 노이즈 제거 정도를 제어하는 방안을 제시한다. 실험 결과, $\kappa$-계수 이미지 매칭이 노이즈 제거 효과를 가짐을 확인하였으며, 제안한 인덱스 기반 매칭 방법은 순차 스캔에 비해 수 배 에서 수십 배 빠른 성능을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

  • An effective method is proposed for detecting, acquisition and tracking of a moving object using a disturbance map method in complex image sequences. A significant moving object is detected and tracked within the field of view by computing a modified disturbance map method between an Input image and a temporal average image. This method is very efficient in the serveillance application of digital CCTV and an automatic tracking camera. Experimental results using a real image sequence confirmed that the proposed method can effectively detect and track a significant moving object in complex image sequences.

농업용수 활용을 위한 비피압지하수관정 수온의 시계열 변동특성 (Time Series Change Characteristics of Unconfined Groundwater Wells Temperatures for Agricultural Water Use)

  • There is a need to analyze unconfined groundwater behavior since the demand of groundwater use has been increasing. While unconfined groundwater temperature is tend to be affected by air temperature, it is hard to find an empirical study in South Korea. In this research, we try to determine the relationship between daily average air temperature and daily average groundwater temperature by time-sequential analysis of groundwater monitoring wells in Galshin basin in Yesan-Gun, Chungcheongnam-Do. In addition, models to estimate groundwater temperature from air temperature were developed. In this research 101-day moving average method with measured air temperature is used to estimate groundwater temperature. To verify the developed model, estimated values of average groundwater temperature with 101 moving average are compared to the measured data from September 10 2007 to September 9 2008. And, Nash-Stucliff Efficiency and Coefficient of Determination were 0.970 and 0.976, therefore it was concluded that the model allowing groundwater temperature estimation from air temperature is with reasonable applicability.

  • As number of cyber traders are growing, the uses of technical analyzing indicators in trading increase as well. Parabolic SAR, which indicates changes of trend in the market, is one of the most used indicators by cyber traders. Especially when a market shows a specific trend, it is very useful. However, this indicator often gives late signals and shows less trustful ones in a stable market. This paper proposes a method that give more conservative signals by a composition of Parabolic SAR and Moving Average. The experiment will compare the earning rates of using only Parabolic SAR strategy and of using a composition strategy of Parabolic SAR and Moving Average.

  • The null hypothesis being tested by $the{\bar{X}}$ control chart is that the process is in control at a quality level ${\mu}o$. An ${\bar{X}}control$ chart is a tool for detecting process average changes due to assingnable causes. The major weakness of $the{\bar{X}}$ control chart is that it is relatively insensitive to small changes in the population mean. This paper presents one way to remedy this weakness is to allow each plotted value to depend not only on the most recent subgroup average but on some of the other subgroup averages as well. Two approaches for doing this are based on (1) moving averages and (2) exponentially weighted moving averages of forecasting method.

  • Electrochemical noise signals in many cases exhibit a DC drift that should be removed prior to further data analysis. Polynomial fitting and moving average removal method have been used to remove trends of electrochemical noise (EN) in time domain. The corrosion inhibition of synthesized schiff base N,N'-bis(3,5-dihydroxyacetophenone)-2,2-dimethylpropandiimine on API-5L-X70 steel in hydrochloric acid solutions were used to study the effects of drifts removal methods on noise resistance calculation. Also, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was used to study the corrosion inhibition property of the inhibitor. The results showed that for the calculation of $R_n$, both methods were effective in trend removal and the polynomial with m=4 and MAR with p=40 were in agreement.

  • In the first-order moving average model, we present the exact likelihood equations as function of variance, correlation and parameters of coefficients in the orthogonally transformed model. Existence of maximum likelihood estimates for these unknowns are studied and a computational method is provided. (Because of the limited space Ive do not present the computer program which is written in FORTRAN.) 40 sets of generated data and economic data are used to demonstrate, and few of them are presented in the Appendix. A numerical comparison of MLE with the efficient estimate proposed by Durbin is presented in the particular case.

Dynamic responses of laminated beams under a moving load in thermal environment

  • The goal of this study is to investigate dynamic responses of laminated composite beams under a moving load with thermal effects. The governing equations of problem are derived by using the Lagrange procedure. The transverse-shear strain and rotary inertia are considered within the Timoshenko beam theory. The material properties of laminas are considered as the temperature dependent physical property. The differential equations of the problem are solved by the Ritz method. The solution step of dynamic problem, the Newmark average acceleration method is used in the time history. A compassion study is performed for accuracy of used formulations and method. In the numerical results, the effects of velocity of moving load, temperature values, the fiber orientation angles and the stacking sequence of laminas on the dynamic responses of the composite laminated beam are investigated.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동물체의 움직임 추정을 위한 옵티컬 플로우(Optical Flow: OF)의 계산에 필요한 그레디언트(Gradient)의 연산 속도를 개선하고. OF와 에지의 논리연산에 의하여 이동물체의 움직임 정계를 추정할 수 있으며 잡음이 있는 영상에서도 이동물체를 추정할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 이것은 저레벨에서 OF와 에지를 논리 연산하므로써 불확실한 배경에서 이동물체를 식별하고 물체를 추적하는 방법으로 기존의 이동물체 추정 알고리즘을 간소화시킨 것이다. 또한, 그레디언트 연산속도를 개선한 본 논문의 방법 I과 방법 II를 이용하여 그레이레 벨값의 변화가 있는 영상에 대하여 시뮬레이션을 행하였다. 그레디언트 연산에 걸리는 전체적인 시간을 평균한 결과 방법 I 은 기존의 방법보다 12% 연산속도가 개선되었고, 방법 II는 37% 연산속도가 개선되었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에서 발생한 가스사고를 분석하여 가스사고의 건수예측모델에 대하여 제시하였다. 가스사고 건수를 예측하기 위하여 단순이동평균법(3,4,5기간), 가중이동평균법 및 지수평활법을 적용해 본 결과, 4기간 이동평균법과 가중이동평균법에 의한 모델의 평균오차제곱합이 44.4와 43으로 가장 정확성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 가스사고 발생건수 예측시스템을 개발함으로서 가스사고 예방활동에 적극 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
