Optimal Path Planning of Mobile Robot for Multiple Moving Obstacles (복수의 동적 장애물에 대한 이동로봇의 최적경로설계)

  • The most important thing for navigation of a mobile robot is to find the most suitable path and avoid the obstacles in the static and dynamic environment. This paper presents a method to search the optimal path in start space extended to time domain with considering a velocity and a direction of moving obstacles. A modified version of $A^*$ algorithm has been applied for path planning in this work and proposed a method of path search to avoid a collision with moving obstacle in space-tim domain with a velocity and an orientation of obstacles. The velocity and the direction for moving obstacle are assumed as linear form. The simulation result shows that a mobile robot navigates safely among moving obstacles of constant linear velocity. This work can be applied for not only a moving robot but also a legged humanoid robot and all fields where the path planning is required.

  • Moving Target Defense(MTD) is a novel security technology concept in which the IT infrastructure changes its form actively and prevents various types of cyber attacks. Network address moving technology is the field that has been most actively researched in terms of MTD. A number of studies on network address moving published over the last decade have suggested a virtual address-based network address moving technology for efficiency in the implementation. However, virtual address-based network address moving technology has serious vulnerabilities in terms of security and availability. This paper examines the technological characteristics of the existing studies and analyzes their limitations. It suggests security requirements to be considered when designing the network address moving technology through a technological analysis.

  • This paper described design and implementation of stereo vision system, and also, proposed method for displacement estimation of 3-D moving object using this system. The extraction of moving object is obtained by difference image algorithm. Geometrical position of 3-D moving object is calculated form the mapping of center area of two's 2-D object. 3-D coordinate position produced space depth, moving velociity, distance, moving track and proved displacement estimation of 3-D moving object.

  • An effective algorithm for implementation of unmanned surveillance system which detects moving object from image sequences, predicts the direction of it, and drives the camera in real time is proposed. Outputs of proposed algorithm are coordinates of location of moving object, and they are converted to the values according to camera model. As a pre- processing, extraction of moving object and shape discrimination are performed. Existence of the moving object or scene change is detected by computing the temporal derivatives of consecutive two or more images in a sequence, and this result of derivatives is combined with the edge map from one original gray level image to obtain the position of moving object. Shape discri-mination(Target identification) is performed by analysis of distribution of projection profiles in x and y directions. To reduce the prediction error due to the fact that the motion cha- racteristic of walking man may have an abrupt change of moving direction, an order adaptive lattice structured linear predictor is proposed.

  • In this paper, we propose the method of generating smooth moving sound in a two-channel based 3D sound technique. HRTF is generally used to make the moving sound effect in frequency domain. But, the moving sound using the interpolation has many problems to be resolved as there are only discrete measured point of HRTF database. Therefore, HRTF of the moving sound channel makes effective moving sound by the improved grouping. Informal listening tests show that the proposed improves the effective moving sound much better than the conventional methods.

  • In the paper we study dynamic response of a finite, simply supported Timoshenko beam subject to a moving continuously distributed forces. Three problems have been considered. The dynamic response of the Timoshenko beam under a uniform distributed load moving with a constant velocity v has been considered as the first problem. Obtained solutions allow to find the response of the beam under the interval of the finite length a uniformly distributed moving load. Part of the solutions are presented in a closed form instead of an infinite series. As the second problem the steady-state vibrations of the beam under uniformly distributed mass $m_1$ moving with the constant velocity has been considered. The vibrations of the beam caused by the interval of the finite length randomly distributed load moving with constant velocity is considered as the last problem. It is assumed that load process is space-time stationary stochastic process.

  • The position tracking of moving image for surveillance system is presented in this paper. The image of objects moving is detected with difference image between the background image not to be moved relatively and the forward moving image. The moving image is tracked with edge detection and moving vector to the object. The experiment result shows that the system enable to trail the position of moving objects obviously and is able to discriminate an infiltration.

  • In this paper, the vibrational motion of a flexible beam clamped on a translating base and carrying a moving mass is investigated. The equations of motion which describe the total dynamics of the beam-mass-cart system are derived and the coupled dynamic equations are solved by unconstrained modal analysis. In modal analysis, the exact normal mode solutions corresponding to the eigenfrequencies for the position of the moving mass and the ratios of the mass of the flexible beam, the moving mass and the base cart are used. Proper transformations of the time solutions between the normal modes for a position and those for the next position of the moving mass are also adopted. Numerical simulations are carried out to obtain the open-loop responses of the system in tracking the pre-designed path of the moving mass.

  • Due to the development of information technologies and new businesses related to moving objects, the need for the storage and analysis of moving object data is increasing rapidly. Moving object data have a spatiotemporal nature which is different from typical business data. Therefore, different methods of data storage and analysis are required. This paper proposes a multidimensional data model and data visualization to analyze moving object data efficiently and effectively. We expect that decision makers can understand the movement pattern of moving objects more intuitively through the proposed implementation.

  • In this paper, the moving distance and velocity of a single moving object are measured by sampling three frames in a two-dimensional line sequence image. The brightness of each frame is analyzed, and the bit data of their pixel are rearranged so that the difference image may be extracted. The parameters for recognition of the object are the gray level of the object, the number of vertex points and the distance between the vertex points. The moving distance obtained from the coordinate which is constructed by the bit processing of the data in the memory map of a microcomputer, and the moving velocity is obtained from the moving distance and the time interval between the first and second sampled frames.
