  • The dimensions of affection structure from hand movements was developed for the purpose of understanding relationship between affective words and physical factors to apply it to computing environment. To analyze hand movements, three dimensions -direction, time, weight- were found through reconstructing sub-properties of Laban Movement Analysis. The direction dimension has five freedoms of movement (horizontal, vertical, sagittal, circular, shaking) while the time and weight dimensions both have two sub categories each, (sudden, sustained), (light, strong) respectively. By factorial design using the three dimensions, twenty movement were videotaped. Participants rated a list of fifty korean affective words on each twenty movements. The results were studied by nonlinear principal component analysis. The results suggested that time and weight dimensions are closely related with arousal level dimension of affection. Strong and sudden movements associated with highly aroused affection, while light and sustained movements associated with the opposite affection. The direction sub-dimensions were found to be associated with the kinds of affection. Linear movements like horizontal, vortical and sagittal direction were correlated to highly aroused negative affection. Circular movements were found to correlate closely by fun and delight on the graph, while shaking movements were correlated to anxiety and impatience. These results imply that the dimensions of affection structure and sub-properties of hand movements are closely connected with each other.

  • This paper is intended to grasp the characteristics of many bodices patterns which have been shown so far. The way is by selecting four characteristic kinds of patterns, making blouses offer the patterns and measuring ease. In measuring the degree of ease, $Scheff\`{e}'s$ paired comparison is made use of. In analysis, variation ratio has come out of analysis of variance, and significance is tested by producing estimated values between patterns. The Result is summed up as follows. 1. After wearing blouses made ofter different basic patterns and measuring ease, the analysis of variance is made about the sensory value of ease. The result is as follows. 1) In the ease of different patterns, all the areas are significant at the level of $1\%$ , regard- less of movements. 2) Under the influence of movements, the back area of arm hole is significant at the level of $5\%$ in narrow movements, and the front and the back area of arm hole are each significant at the level of $1\%$ in wide movements. 3) In the interaction of patterns and movements, bust and the under area of arm hole are each significant at the level of $1\%$ in narrow movements, and bust is significant at the level of $1\%$ in wide movements. 2. When comparing estimated values between patterns, the value of c is the largest and in the order of b,4, a. And in the other movements, the order changes into c,d, b and a. Thus the ease of blouses is different according to patterns. The reason for this is that the amount of ease of bust, the amount and location of darts, and sleeve cap height have complicate influences on the ease of blouses. Both sleeve cap height and the depth of arm hole have influences on the ease of sleeve. Consequently, in making clothes, it would be better to select and use proper patterns which go with the purposes and desings of clothes rather than to apply one pattern to various clothes.

  • Body movements of humans have emotions and these movements have meanings of 'Living Spirits' and 'Emotions'. Also emotions of humans indicate all body movements which are made within the environment. This study aims at providing new potentials to emotional design research methods not only by understanding the characteristics of visual perception according to body movements and but by investigating correlations between sequence which arise by the visual perception and emotions through experiments. As for the scope and method of this study, the emotional space designs were analyzed through the emotional theory study, SD method was used to evaluate emotions and the movements in the modern village and traditional village with similar elements were compared and analyzed for the empirical study. As a result, first it was confirmed waling hours in the traditional village took more than the modern village and it is thought movements of humans are affected by the visual environments. Second, it was confirmed values of the emotional evaluation were higher in the traditional village than the modern village. Third, according to a result of the correlation analysis between space sequence and emotions, it was closed with negative emotions such as 'Closed', and 'Complicated' from positive emotional words such as 'Natural'. 'Open', 'Curious', etc. as spaces are experienced more through movements in the modern village. On the contrary, the emotional intensity of the positive words such as 'In Harmony', 'Beautiful' and 'Warn' through movements in the traditional village increased as spaces were experienced more. As a result of this study, it was confirmed the time, space and emotions have correlations each other.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify how similar the virtual fit pants are to the actual fit of stretchable pants. Data is produced using a virtual model to apply movements. The results show that in the upright position, the similarity between the appearance of the actual fit and the virtual fit is high. Results are 4.47, 4.13 and 4.33 out of 5 on the front, side, and back, respectively. The base line of the front and back, and the amount of allowance in each part were well reproduced by the model. The texture of the virtual fit was evaluated and found to be similar to the actual fabric. In terms of shape and number of wrinkles with the virtual fit pants, large wrinkles were better expressed than fine wrinkles. After applying movements to the virtual model, the front and side results were similar to the actual fit, but the back results were different. As a result of multiple comparisons, the greatest difference in similarity by movements is found in the center front line. The similarity difference was lower on the side than on the front. The only significant difference after applying movements is in the hip circumference margin. According to movements, the similarity of virtual fit is lower on the back than on the front and side, and the back also has the largest similarity differences to the movements type.

  • A digital twin is a technology that creates a virtual world identical to the real world. Problems in the real world can be identified through various simulations, so it is a trend to be applied in various industries. In order to apply the digital twin, it is necessary to analyze the drawings in which the structure of the real world to be made identical is designed. Although the technology for analyzing drawings is being studied, it is difficult to apply them because the rules or standards for drawing drawings are different for each author. Therefore, in this paper, we implement a system that analyzes and classifies the vertex detail, one of the drawings, using artificial intelligence. Through this, we intend to confirm the possibility of analyzing and classifying drawings through artificial intelligence and introduce future research directions.

  • We propose a frequency estimation algorithm of human movements using Kinect. We collect the 3D coordinates of the joints of a human body and then obtain the frequency-domain description of the movements using the discrete Fourier transform (DFT). By choosing the frequency with the biggest magnitude in the selected frequencies of each of human's joint, we obtain the major beat of the human movements. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm accurately estimates the frequency of human movements. We expect that the proposed algorithm would be applied to many AR and VR applications as a preprocessing.

  • China's increasing trade volume and continuous integration with global financial markets have strengthened the influences of the renminbi on the exchange rates of different currencies. Previous studies find closer co-movements between the renminbi and other currencies. This paper is novel to investigate the underlying determinants of the co-movement further, using panel data of over thirty-four countries. Our results show that stronger bilateral trade and financial linkages with China have a positive association with the currency co-movement. Moreover, countries with greater flexibility in exchange rate regimes show stronger co-movements. These findings imply that growing co-movements are the consequence of autonomous decisions at the market rather than that of management by governments or central banks.

  • We propose an eye gaze tracking system under natural head movements. The system consists of one CCD camera and two front-surface mirrors. The mirrors rotate to follow head movements in order to keep the eye within the view of the camera. However, the mirror controller cannot guarantee the fast head movements, because the frame rate is generally 30Hz. To overcome this problem, we applied Kalman predictor to estimate next eye position from the current eye image. In the results, our system allows the subjects head to move 50cm horizontally and 40cm vertically, with the speed about 10cm/sec and 6cm/sec, respectively. And spatial gaze resolutions are about 4.5 degree and 4.5 degree, respectively, and the gaze estimation accuracy is 92% under natural head movements.
