마하라노비스 거리를 이용한 모터 불량품 검출 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Detection of Defective Motors by Using Maharanobis' Distance)

  • In this paper, Maharanobis distance was used to distinguish defective motors from good motors. Maharanobis distance was calculated from the noise data of good motors and the test motor that were measured in 1/3 octave hand from 25 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. The suggested method was applied to the detection of defective air-conditioner motors.

  • Electric locomotive is adapted to high speed driving and mass transportation due to obtaining high traction force. The electric locomotive is operated by motor blocks and traction motors. Train speed is controlled by suppling power from motor blocks to traction motors according to reference speed. Speed control of the electric locomotive is efficient by spending energy between motor blocks and traction motors. Currently, switched reluctance motors have been studied because the efficient is higher than induction motors. In this paper, model of the switched reluctance motor is presented and the PID controller is applied to the model for the speed control by using Simulink. Asymmetry converter is used for real-time control and system performance is demonstrated by simulating the speed of switched reluctance motor including PID controller.

  • DC Motors have been widely used in industry as driving power motors for electrical vehicles cranes and winches due to their strong starting torques and as servo-motors for position and speed control systems due to their convenience of speed control etc. Generally in the speed control systems of motors speed sensors are required and this fact results in he increased price and operating cost and in the limitted applications. This paper presents a new speed control method for sensorless DC motors. In this scheme the speed signal is estimatd by the measurement values of the armature voltage and current. A Fuzzy feedback controller instead of the conventional PID controller. Through simulations the effectiveness and usefullness of the proposed method are illustrated.

고압전동기 고정자 권선의 유전정접 특성 (Characteristics of Dissipation Factor in High Voltage Motor Stator Windings)

  • Diagnostic tests were performed in three high voltage motors. These tests included insulation resistance, polarization index, ac current, dissipation factor($tan{\delta}$) and partial discharge magnitude. The rewind of motor stator insulation at rated voltage is assessed by the results of these tests. After completing the diagnostic tests, the stator windings of motors were subjected to gradually increasing ac voltage, until the insulation punctured. NO.1 and No.2 motors failed near rated voltage of 14.0 kV, respectively. These motors are lower that expected for good quality coils in 6.6 kV class motors. The breakdown voltage of No.3 motor was 15.0 kV.

  • In small-power applications, variable-speed motors having high efficiency and controllability become more dominant than brushed DC motors. BLDC motors with permanent magnets in the rotor and SRMs directed by reluctance torque due to no permanent magnets have been strongly studied as a candidate. Compared to the BLDC motors, SRMs are more suitable for low-cost applications since the magnetic structure is simple, mechanically robust, and cheap due to no additional excitation in the rotor such as copper wire, aluminum, and permanent magnets. In addition, relatively small number of phases in single and two-phase SRMs allows more cost savings with regards to material in the motor and switching devices in the converter. In this paper, several 2 phase SRMs are compared to a 3 phase 6/4 SRM in terms of flux distribution in key parts of the motors.

  • A new end-effector has been devised and the problems resulted from using it with SCARA robots are discussed. The end effector has two modules: one composed of two ultrasonic motors and two encoders for controlling each finger, and the other module composed of two ultrasonic motors and two encoders for controlling the wrist. The wrist module adds two degrees of freedom to the SCARA type robot, which generally has four degrees of freedom. With independent finger actuation and touch sensors, the gripper under computer control can feedback information about part size and part presence. Ultrasonic motors with high torque and slow motion characteristics are used. The principle of ultrasonic motors is explained and the servo characteristics of ultrasonic motors are studied. They are controlled by the general motion controller (Hewlett Packard HCTL-1000) which is linked to an IBM-PC AT.

  • Linear motors can drive a linear motion without intermediate gears, screws or crank shafts. Linear motors can successfully replace ball lead screw in machine tools, because they have a high velocity, acceleration and good positioning accuracy. On the other hand, linear motors emit large amounts of heat and have low efficiency. In this paper, heat sources of a synchronous linear motor with high velocity and force are measured and analyzed. To improve the thermal stiffness of the linear motor, an insulation layer with low thermal conductivity is inserted between cooler and machine table. Some effects of the insulation layer are presented.

  • It is well known that pneumatic motors convert fluid power into mechanical power with a low efficiency. The Value of the efficiency depends on several factors, of which the most important are ; type of motor, speed, supply pressure, sie and geometry of the motor. This paper presents an analytical and experimental study of the performance of he vane type pneumatic motors. This investigation deals with all the pneumatic motors. This investigation deals with all the major aspects of the air flow through a vane type pneumatic motor and pints out which are the main causes of the low efficiency of the motor, and therefore indicates which changes in a motor design an lead to optimum performance.

  • The present work is the study of mechanical behavior due to variation of the geometrical parameters in the core of the sandwich honeycomb panel. This study has allowed us to increase or decrease the strains and stresses of the panel, in changing the angle of alveolus, as explained and described below. In taking into consideration the results obtained previously to improve the mechanical properties and increase the adhesion of different parts of the panel, without changing the adhesive, we have conceived two new models, in increasing the contact surfaces in boundary of each part of the panel and giving a conical hexagonal shape in his corp.

  • Recently, the robot has been used in industries and laboratories for the automation and the coarse and hazardous environments. In this paepr, it was studied the robot using DC servo motors. In that maner, Gold Star educational robot "Top-1" which was drived by 6-step motors was rebuilt to the robot. "Kon Kuk-I" using 6-servo motors. Because the caracteristics of step motors were not fit well the differential change. For the precise robot control, it was designed the controller which was adopted the velocity mode control and the position mode control. It was studied also the supporting software for the robot motion. As the results of this experiments, it was found that the robot "Kon Kuk-I" moved smoothly and accurately.
