Remote sensing technology is one of the most powerful tools for human to know the nature and their living environment. However, before microwave remote sensing was developed and applied, remote sensing application was limited strongly by weather and time. Microwave remote sensing technology solves the problem. It makes us to have the capability to acquire information at all time of the day and under all weather condition, and make remote sensing technology be used in more wider area. Microwave remote sensing system include mainly Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Microwave Radiometer, Microwave Scatterometer, and Altimeter (ALT). As SAR can acquire image whose spatial resolution is similar with visible and infrared image, it is paying much attention to and playing a more and more important role in earth observation. In recent year, the development of new SAR technology (multi-band and multi-polarization technology, InSAR technology, D-InSAR technology, and so on) makes SAR remote sensing go to an new stage, and its application area become more and more widely. The first Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) in the world appeared in 1960. After that, SAR and its application all developed very fast. Some radar satellites launched and run (include Seasat-A in 1978, ERS-1 in 1991, JERS-1 in 1992, Radarsat in 1995, and so on) promote SAR research and application in world greatly. China began to develop its SAR sensor and research SAR application in 1970s. After more than 30 years' research, it get some important development in sensor development data processing method, and application. Some operational systems have been used and play an important role. This paper will introduce the development of SAR technology and its application in China.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of three different types of preparatory movement(squat, countermovement and hopping) in sideward responsive propulsion movement. 7 healthy subjects performed left and right side movement task by external output signal. 3D kinematics were analyzed The results were followed First, performance time in the countermovement and hopping conditions was shorter(10-20%) than that in the squat condition. The hopping condition that is more related to pre-stretch showed excellent performance. Second, time difference between after turned on the external signal and until take off was the primary factor in performance results among movement conditions. The preparatory phase before the propulsive phase in the squat condition produced more time than that in other conditions. The hopping condition showed the most short time in both the preparatory and the propulsive phase, therefore it was advantage for performance result Third, significant difference was not found in take-off velocity among movement conditions although there was difference of the time required in the propulsive phase. The maximum acceleration in the propulsive phase was larger in order of the hopping. countermovement, and squat condition. The countermovement and hopping conditions showed high take-off velocity although the propulsive phase in those conditions was shorter than that in squat condition. The pre-stretch by preparatory countermovement was considered as the positive factor of producing power in concentric contraction. Fourth, the hopping condition produced large angular velocity of joints. In hopping condition, large amount of moment for rotation movement was revealed in relatively short time and it was considered to cause powerful joint movements. In conclusion, the hopping movement using countermovement is advantage of responsive propulsion movement. It is resulted from short duration until take off and large amount of joint moment and joint power in concentric contraction by pre-stretch.
The amount of energy consumed by a transportation system in a city is influenced not just by a transportation system itself but also by city's spatial character. Yet there have been very limited studies on this subject. This study investigates the factors that influence the energy consumption by a transportation system and city's spatial character. The model of an urban area confined within a definite boundary is assumed in order to develop the relationships between the energy consumption and the transportation system. Various assumptions on the character of a city and activities are made. An equation for computation of the energy consumption is derived with such factors as modal split, densities of residents and workers, as well as technological development. Using the equation, sensitivity analyses are performed in order to identify the relationships between energy consumption and influencing factors. It is found that the modal split is the most powerful factor that determines the energy consumption by the transportation system. Yet it is also found that the densities of residents and workers and the technological factors are very important in determining the amount of energy consumption as well.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) is one of the most powerful materials for purifying organic pollutants using photocatalytic activity. In this study, we have introduced a novel method to design highly photoreactive flexible 3 dimensional (3D) ZnO nanocomposite [F-ZnO-m (m: reaction time, min)] by electrospinning and simple-step ZnO growth processing (one-step ZnO seed coating/growth processing). Significantly, the F-ZnO-m could be a new platform (or candidate) as a photocatalytic technology for both morphology control and largearea production. The highest photocatalytic degradation rate ([k]) was observed for F-ZnO-m at 2.552 h-1, which was 8.1 times higher than that of ZnO nanoparticles (NPs; [k] = 0.316 h-1). The enhanced photocatalytic activity of F-ZnO-m may be attributed to factors such as large surface area. The F-ZnO-m is highly recyclable and retained 98.6% of the initial decolorization rate after fifteen cycles. Interestingly, the F-ZnO-m samples show very strong antibacterial properties against both Gram-negative Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) after exposure to UV-light for 30 min. The antibacterial properties of F-ZnO-m samples are more effective than those of ZnO NPs. More than 96.6% of the E. coli is sterilized after ten cycles. These results indicate that F-ZnO-m samples might have utility in several promising applications such as highly efficient water/air treatment and inactivation of pathogenic microorganisms.

Total ginsenosides were purified and their antioxidant, antibacterial and anticancer activities were measured. The crude extracts of ginseng, which were extracted with 75% ethanol by ultrasonification method, were firstly purified on AB-8 macroporous adsorption column to remove water soluble impurities, and decolored on Amberlite IRA 900 Cl anion-exchange column. Then, they were purified on Amberlite XAD16 adsorption column to delete the non-polar impurities. Total ginsenosides contents of the purified extracts were 79.4%, 71.7% and 72.5% in cultured wild ginseng, red ginseng and white ginseng, which were significantly increased than those of crude extracts. All of the three extracts showed concentration-dependant scavenging activities against DPPH radicals, among which white ginseng showed the most powerful activity. Cultured wild ginseng roots showed strongest effect against both B. subtilis PM 125(Gram-positive) and E. coli D31 (Gram-negative) bacteria, while red ginseng and white ginseng only showed the activity against B. subtilis. According to the result of the MTT assay, ail of the three extracts inhibited the growth of U-937 human hohistiocytic lympma cell, which were significantly different (p < 0.05) when compared to the control.
Targeting a film that is the medium of having powerful influence upon the masses, the present study examined about a role and characteristics in the movie costume, and a role of costume designers, which are shown in process of being changed the film costume. There are many designers who were in charge of the film costume, but the present study examined centering on designers who participated aiming to create the image of a character from the stage of manufacturing a movie. It presented and analyzed visual materials by dividing four genres such as a historical drama movie, a horror movie, a fantasy movie, and a modern-play movie, and by selecting a typical work. A Historical drama movie needs to be investigated costume by the historical background in a movie, but inside it was shown clothes that were elaborately reproduced and newly created. A horror movie plays a role of medium that reflects the human society and the internal mentality of a human being along with the attribute of entertainment. As a genre that requires much costume, make-up and special effect aiming at dramatic effect, a role of film costume possesses great weight. As a fantasy movie is a field based on 'fiction' of a writer who creates a work, it is a field that requires creativity of a costume designer most. As a modern-play movie is what reproduces reality, it best reflects the phases of that time, and is the field that is influenced by costume or fashion trend. Costume needs to be designed in a bid to allow spectators to be inspired the wholly united and harmonious mood with leading a story of a movie, and the individual image.
Volume rendering is a powerful tool for visualizing sampled scalar values from 3D data without modeling geometric primitives to the data. The volume rendering can describe the surface-detail of a complex object. Owing to this characteristic. volume rendering has been used to visualize medical data. The size of volume data is usually too big to handle in real time. Recently, various volume rendering algorithms have been proposed in order to reduce the rendering time. However, most of the proposed algorithms are not proper for fast rendering of large non-coded volume data. In this paper, we propose a block-based fast volume rendering algorithm using a shear-warp factorization for non-coded volume data. The algorithm performs volume rendering by using the organ segmentation data as well as block-based 3D volume data, and increases the rendering speed for large non-coded volume data. The proposed algorithm is evaluated by rendering 3D X-ray CT body images and MR head images.
In spite of economy has a critical cycle such as, production, distribution and consumption, we hardly concentrated our study to distributional system and behavior. Especially in Korea, Traditional idea had tried to ignore the people who work in this economic value at all. Manufacturers, other than retailers and wholesalers, had a belief that the manufacturing can control distributional channels forever. Unfortunately, technological and educational advances caused the quality equalization among developing and developed countries as well as among big and small manufacturers in their products. By this reason, economists are searching the economists dark continet' mentioned by Peter Drucker as a new source of wealth. According to a report by well-known economic research institute in Switzerland, Korea has classified in the lower level group in terms of international compatitive power. At the same time, business firms complain that they are suffering from lack of SOC and infrastructures. As an important mean to overcome the economic bottleneck, economists suggest in improve our distributional atmosphere. Basically, distributional study has two sub-fields as: commercial and physical distributions, Distributional system mainly concerns about to shorten the distances of time and space between production and consumption. The closer the distances, the higher efficiency can be achieved. Building distributional system will cost, but tile results will save social costs. Based on this idea, economists proposed several ways to cut the distances and to save costs, Naturally, they hope their beliefs can be adapted by business firms and governments. But frequently, their theories doesn't make any fruit. This paper has studied about the composition of joint transportational and distributional systems. And, even though there's no Marshall in tile real world at this point authors are trying to define the transportational and physical distributional costs, the most powerful factor that can impact to economic decision making.
Despite continuous efforts to redraw the boundaries between art and culture, the conventional concept of originality has persisted in approaches to the practice of contemporary art. In the discourse of originality, various forms of lesser arts that employ the method of replication have been referred to as kitsch, or "rear-guard," the opposite of avant-garde. This categorization points to the contested issue regarding the oppositional relation between modernism and mass culture. With its easily accessible content and financial affordability, mass culture has become both an irresistible attraction and a most powerful threat to modernism. This threat has instigated a discursive system that has situated mass culture as a cultural other of modernism. Taking the marginalized category of kitsch as the area of contention, this paper examines a discursive repression of kitsch. It analyzes the conceptual framework that defends originality and autonomy in art and, conversely, degrades kitsch as an inferior and dangerous cultural category. Greenberg'S concept of kitsch as a by-product of industrialization evolved into the criticism that advocates the autonomy of art. The Frankfurt School scholars, particularly Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer, practiced comparable cultural critiques. Focusing on mass culture such as film, radio, and television, instead of art works, they critically analyzed the system of mass culture and theorized the negative implications of the ubiquitous presence of kitsch. Some critics, on the other hand, perceived the growth of mass culture as opening possibilities in cultural development. Walter Benjamin and Harold Rosenberg asserted the socio-cultural dynamics of mass culture underlining the potential for continual transformation in reality and in the subject. They acknowledged that technological advances changed the condition of creation and enabled unmediated interactions between media. By scrutinizing conflicting views on kitsch, this paper intends to reassess arts that draw "the forces of the outside."
Complexity paradigm is a scientific amalgam that aims to unite a range of theoretical perspectives and research agendas across natural and social sciences. Proponents of complexity paradigm lay claims to an increasing number of areas of study, including artificial life, interpersonal networks, internal/international patterning of organizations, mapping of cyberspace, etc. All of those can be subsumed under the title, 'complexity turn.' Owing to the idea of open system, complexity paradigm has developed a number of new concepts/themes/perspectives that help to account for the complex mechanism of living and non-living creatures. A complex system comprises a number of properties such as disequilibrium, nonlinearity, dissipative structure, self-organization fractal geometry, autopoiesis, coevolution. Following a brief introduction to theoretical development, those properties are succinctly discussed. The complexity turn has provided a wealth of insights that enable to analyze system operations of any kind. It contributes a lot to illuminating the working of social system as well. The most remarkable attempt may be Niklas Luhmann's 'neofunctional system theory.' Merits and shortcomings of complexity paradigm were examined and its future prospect were assessed with the conclusion that complexity paradigm would continue to be useful both as effective transdisciplinary framework and powerful analytical tool.
