선도기술개발사업 1단계 평가사례 연구

  • This paper addresses a methodology for monitoring the first phase('92-'94) progress and its strategic implication of Highly Advanced National R&D Program(HAN or G7 project) in Korea. The conceptual framework and its strategic thrust of the interim evaluation, which is the main focus of this paper, was designed both by reviewing related literature and by analyzing the unique characteristics of the HAN Program. Actual monitoring or interim evaluation was initiated by the G7 Planning and Evaluation Committee, which was established for advising, directing, and monitoring the HAN Program, with the help of large number of experts from various industries, universities, and research institutes. The monitoring results had been reported to the related ministries and project coordinating agencies. According to the suggestion made by the G7 Planning and Evaluation Committee, several projects were suffered structural changes and one was dropped.

  • Recently, according as USN application service models have been integrated each other and have become various, the need on the development of monitoring programs corresponding each service model has been risen steadily. However, if we stick to the traditional method developing independently each service model, we might pay unnecessary expenses. In this paper, we propose the monitoring program authoring tool for USN. Furthermore, we introduce an implementing example of the forest fire prevention monitoring system for verification of the proposed tool. The tool adopted the framework based programming and the S/W reusability techniques for minimizing waste of redeveloping cost.

Distributed Decision-Making in Wireless Sensor Networks for Online Structural Health Monitoring

  • In a wireless sensor network (WSN) setting, this paper presents a distributed decision-making framework and illustrates its application in an online structural health monitoring (SHM) system. The objective is to recover a damage severity vector, which identifies, localizes, and quantifies damages in a structure, via distributive and collaborative decision-making among wireless sensors. Observing the fact that damages are generally scarce in a structure, this paper develops a nonlinear 0-norm minimization formulation to recover the sparse damage severity vector, then relaxes it to a linear and distributively tractable one. An optimal algorithm based on the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) and a heuristic distributed linear programming (DLP) algorithm are proposed to estimate the damage severity vector distributively. By limiting sensors to exchange information among neighboring sensors, the distributed decision-making algorithms reduce communication costs, thus alleviate the channel interference and prolong the network lifetime. Simulation results in monitoring a steel frame structure prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy inference system and an analytical hierarchy process-based online evaluation technique is developed to monitor the condition of the 32-km Donghai Bridge in Shanghai. The system has 478 sensors distributed along eight segments selected from the whole bridge. An online evaluation subsystem is realized, which uses raw data and extracted features or indices to give a set of hierarchically organized condition evaluations. The thresholds of each index were set to an initial value obtained from a structure damage and performance evolution analysis of the bridge. After one year of baseline monitoring, the initial threshold system was updated from the collected data. The results show that the techniques described are valid and reliable. The online method fulfills long-term infrastructure health monitoring requirements for the Donghai Bridge.

농촌마을 하천의 수질관리 시스템 - 시험유역 조사 및 시스템 설계 - (Water Quality Management System for a Farm Village Stream -watershed monitoring and the system design-)

  • The purpose of this study Is to develop water quality management system fort a farm village stream. The framework design of the system and the ecological monitoring of a test watershed were carried out, The system consists of GIS(Geographic Information System ), database, pollution source management, water quality and hydrologic analysis. Suri watershed located on Idong, Yongin city, Kyunggi Province, was selected as the test watershed for the application of the system. The fifteen's monitoring stations were chooses at up- and down-stream of the watershed. The results of an aquatic ecological monitoring were analyzed by the GPI(Group Pollution Index) method. The GPI revealed that water quality was varied within the stream. GPI and DO map for the watershed stream were developed, These maps facilitated to analyze the spatial distribution of the water quality.

  • 최근에 많은 유휴 상태의 호스트 자원들을 이용한 인터넷 기반 분산/병렬 컴퓨팅은 대용량 작업처리와 여러 중요 논제들에 대해 그 유용성이 증명되고 있다. 대용량 작업이 수행되는 동안, 작업에 참여하는 호스트의 성능과 상태 변화에 대처하기 위한 실시간 모니터링 기능이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 글로벌 컴퓨팅 (global computing) 인트라스트럭처(infrastructure)로 구축된 인터넷 기반 분산/병렬 처리 프레임워크인 PDP(Parallel Distributed Processing)상의 실시간 모니터링 및 시각화에 대한 내용을 소개한다.

  • Detecting and assessing human-related risks is critical to improve the on-site safety condition and reduce the loss in lives, time and budget for construction industry. Recent research in neural science and psychology suggest inattentional blindness that caused by overload in working memory is the major cause of unexpected human related accidents. Due to the limitation of human mental workload, laborers are vulnerable to unexpected hazards while focusing on complicated and dangerous construction tasks. Therefore, detecting the risk perception abilities of workers could help to identify vulnerable individuals and reduce unexpected injuries. However, there are no available measurement approaches or devices capable of monitoring construction workers' mental conditions. The research proposed in this paper aims to develop such a measurement framework to evaluate hazards through monitoring electroencephalogram of labors. The research team developed a wearable safety monitoring helmet, which can collect the brain waves of users for analysis. A bispectrum approach has been developed in this paper to enrich the data source and improve accuracy.

Integrated GIS-Based Logistics Process Monitoring Framework with Convenient Work Processing Environment for Smart Logistics

  • In today's highly competitive business environment, most companies try to manage their logistics function strategically to satisfy their orders as cost-effectively as possible and maximize their present and future profits. In this environment, logistics process visibility is essential to companies wishing to competently track components, parts, or products in transit from the original suppliers to the final destinations. Thus, it is important to provide instantly and easily recognizable information about such visibility to all stakeholders, especially customers. To ensure a high-level geographical visibility of the logistics processes, in this paper, we propose a way of implementing a GIS-based logistics process monitoring environment and of integrating a performer's work processing environment on the monitoring system. Additionally, to provide more abundant monitoring information, we describe a procedure for creating and processing various monitoring information, which are represented as ECA rules in this work processing environment. Therefore, it is possible to provide intuitive and visible monitoring information regarding the logistics process and resource elements.

  • 기존의 음성기반 감정인식 기술은 다양한 사용자로부터 수집된 데이터를 기반으로 범용적인 훈련 모델을 생성하고 이를 기반으로 감정을 인식한다. 이러한 음성기반 감정인식 모델링 기술은 개인 사용자의 음성특징을 정확히 고려하기 힘든 방법으로 개인마다 인식 정확도의 편차가 크다. 본 논문에서는 스마트폰 환경에서 프로프트 레이블링 기법을 활용하여 사용자에게 즉각적으로 감정을 피드백 받아 새로운 모델을 생성하여 적용하는 적응형 음성기반 감정인식 프레임워크를 제안한다. 실험을 통하여 제안하는 적응형 음성기반 감정인식 기법이 기존의 범용적인 모델을 사용하였을 때 보다 정확도가 크게 증가됨을 증명하였다.

데이터 품질관리 프레임워크와 비즈니스 시나리오 (The Data Quality Management Framework and it's Business Scenario)

  • e-비즈니스의 활성화로 기업과 조직에서 이해당사자 간의 데이터 교환이 활발해 짐에 따라, 신뢰성 있는 데이터의 확보 및 관리가 시급한 과제로 떠오르고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해, 본 논문은 데이터의 품질을 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 프레임워크를 시나리오와 함께 제시한다. 데이터 품질 관리 프레임워크는 데이터 품질 모니터링, 데이터 품질 개선, 데이터 활용의 3단계로 구분되어 있으며 각 단계마다 3개씩, 총 9개의 프로세스로 구성되어 있다. 각 프로세스에는 필요성, 기능, 역할, 프로세스간의 관계가 명시되어 있다. 또한, 본 프레임워크를 현장에 직접 적용할 수 있도록, e-비즈니스에서 많이 사용되는 상품식별 및 분류 코드체계의 사례를 이용하여 업무 시나리오를 제시하였다.
