A Causal Relationship Analysis of Value Orientations, the Money Spending Styles, and the Money Management Behavior of High School Girls (여자고등학생의 가치지향성과 금전사용양식, 금전관리행동의 인과적 관계분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the casual relationship of the background variables. 4-value orientations. 5 money spending styles and the money management behavior of high school girls. The subjects were 498 high school girls. We used Cronbach\` $\alpha$. Pearson correlation coefficients multiple regression and path analysis as statistical analysis. The results were summarized as follows Resulting from path analysis, the money spending styles were the most influential variable on money management behavior and value orientations were more influential variable on the money spending styles rather than the money management behavior. The money management behavior of high school girls had the directive linear relationships with the variables such as goal-oriented value and 4 money spending styles-security conspicuous. non-monetary and unconcerned.

The samples were selected from 498 high school girls. Cronbach'a and Multiple regression were used as statistical analysis. The results were summarized as follows : Resulting from multiple regression analysis, the desired money management behavior of high school girls had the positive linear relationships with the variables such as financial satisfaction. goal-oriented value. and 4 money spending styles - security. conspicuous. non-monetary. and unconcerned - in five money spending styles. The most influential variable was money spending styles.

  • This study explored the terminal values(Rokeach's Value) and 5-money spending styles of girls in Yanbian, China and those in South Korea. The subjects were 466 school girls in Yanbian, China and 498 high school girls in South Korea. We used Cronbach' α, t-test, and Pearson correlation analysis as statistical analysis. The results were summarized as follows : 1) at the top of the terminal value hierarchy of girls in the two countries were family security and happiness. 2) resulting from the t-test, there found significant differences between the 5-money spending styles of the Yanbian girls and that of the Korean girls. 3) resoling from the Pearson correlation analysis, there found similarities and differences in relationship between terminal values and money spending styles in two groups.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the money spending styles and the money management behaviors according to family strengths of adolescents. The subjects were 914 high school students. To examine research questions, Cronbach'$\alpha$, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan test were used. The research results can be summarized as follows. The family strengths scores of adolescents was generally moderate, 3,36 points. The money spending styles consist of the stable style, conspicuous style, and indifferent style. The average of indifferent style was 3.33 points, stable style was 3.01 points and conspicuous style was 2.91 points. The money management behaviors consist of the planning, implementing, evaluating, and saving. The average of the planning was 2.81 points, implementing was 2.87 points, evaluating was 2.90 points, saving was 2.50 points. The family strengths statistically significant differences in the money spending styles and the money management behaviors were detected. The family strengths was very important variable in the money attitude and behavior of adolescent.

A Study of Apparel Purchase Behaviors for High School Girls as determined by Attitudes toward Fashion (유행 태도에 따른 여고생의 의복구매행동에 관한 연구)

  • Apparel purchase behaviors were investigated for the high school girls grouped by attitude toward fashion. Differences in attitudes toward fashion were also investigated among the groups determined by demographic characteristics. Data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire survey to 600 high school girls living in Seoul, and 480 were used for the data analysis. Cluster analysis, Chi-sguare analysis, ANOVA, and Duncan\`s multiple range test were used for data analysis. Technical school students and those who spending higher amount of monthly allowances showed favorable attitudes toward fashion. Based on the attitudes toward fashion, respondents were classified into 3 groups : fashion-oriented(32.3%), fashion-conformed(47.3%), and unconcerned(20.4%). Among the 3 groups, the Fashion-oriented tended to make purchase decision for clothing based on there own, or peer\`s opinions, to use personal sources for information search, to spend more money for clothing, and to consider design and brand names as the most important criteria when purchasing apparel products than the less fashion-oriented did. Among clothing styles popular to students, the most appropriately perceived for student wear were semi-formal style, and the least appropriate ones were wearing bold colored and patterned underwear for the purpose of showing out. Most of the popular styles among high school girls were perceived less than appropriate student\`s attire.

  • In modern people, smartphone is used in many fields of life styles in world wide. Its convenience and function are improved. Appropriate sleeping is essential to modern people. The overuse of smartphone threats sleeping of modern people. Result of this study shows that the deeper the addiction with smart phones the lower the quality of sleep, especially in troubles staying awake. The quality of sleep also associated with general factors including spending money, type of housing and degree of stress. There is a correlation between smart phone dependency and the quality of sleep and the more severe the dependency the more likely that the quality of sleep might fall. So we need adequate education to use smartphone for saving sleeping of modern people.
