  • ITS(Intelligent Tutoring System) is a system that provides active and flexible tutoring conditions to learners, having adopted artificial intelligence to overcome the limitations of CAI(Computer Assisted Instruction). However, the existing ITS has a few problems; the system provides the same contents to every learner, not considering main variants of their learning and achievement, characters and levels, and therefore, it does not generate satisfactory results; the system does not offer a properly designed course schedule. Therefore, this thesis proposes ARS(Adaptive Recommendation System), founded on ITS, that provides contents designed based on the characters and levels of learners. To catch the characters of learners, the important variant for successful learning, ARS applies and embodies a module of self-assessment test. Also, it puts weighs according to the areas of learning which is different from the simplified assessment that asks for short and mechanical answers for the purpose of knowing the levels of the learners.

  • This study in order to seek for a more effective teaching method, I am to propose a measure that the career education material for female middle school students a program produced already could be applicable on the class and to understand the efficiency by examining practically it to the student. The research method was to make up a questionnaire and gaze two kinds of educational effect. The procedure was that, after surveying the general features in order to help them known their consciousness on the career education Researcher practiced common theorectical teaching on comparative class and moduling teaching on comparative class through making a guiding data. Then Researcher analysed the changing o consciousness on career, knowledge on kinds and numbers of jobs, and the results and rate of interest in the teaching with persentage and t-test. The results are as followed; First, on the consciousness on career, both group showed little change on their wishful job between before and after teaching. On the purpose to get a job, consciousness on work and job, and fixed idea of job on gender, there were some changes, but both groups had few defferences in the changing rate. Second on the consciousness on work and job experimental group recognized the variety of job more than comparative group and wrote more hind of job. Third on the evaluating result, the record of experimental group was higher. Fourth, on the rate of interesting in learning the rate of experimental group was higher. As observed the class applied by the module of female career education is effective, since experimental group showed more consciousness on work and job, evaluation of record after teaching and the rat of interesting in learning, through there was no difference in the consciousness of the career.

  • Branch prediction accuracy is critical for the overall system performance. Branch miss-prediction penalty is the one of the significant performance limiters for improving processor performance, as the pipeline deepens and the instruction issued per cycle increases. In this paper, we propose "Dynamic Per-Branch History Length Fitting Method" by tracking the data dependencies among the register writing instructions. The proposed solution first identifies the key branches, and then it selectively uses the histories of the key branches. To support this mechanism, we provide a history length adjustment algorithm and a required hardware module. As the result of simulation, the proposed mechanism outperforms the previous fixed static method, up to 5.96% in prediction accuracy. Furthermore, our method introduces the performance improvement, compared to the profiled results which are generally considered as the optimal ones.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel deep neural network model for Vision-and-Language Navigation (VLN) named LVLN (Landmark-based VLN). In addition to both visual features extracted from input images and linguistic features extracted from the natural language instructions, this model makes use of information about places and landmark objects detected from images. The model also applies a context-based attention mechanism in order to associate each entity mentioned in the instruction, the corresponding region of interest (ROI) in the image, and the corresponding place and landmark object detected from the image with each other. Moreover, in order to improve the success rate of arriving the target goal, the model adopts a progress monitor module for checking substantial approach to the target goal. Conducting experiments with the Matterport3D simulator and the Room-to-Room (R2R) benchmark dataset, we demonstrate high performance of the proposed model.

  • One of the Embedded systems Tiny Processing Unit (TPU) usually acts in harsh environments like external shock or insufficient power. In these cases, data could be polluted, and cause critical problems. As a solution to data pollution, many embedded systems are using Error Correcting Code (ECC) to protect and restore data. However, ECC processing in TPU increases the overall processing time by increasing the time of instruction fetch which is the bottleneck. In this paper, we propose an architecture of parallelized ECC block to the reduce bottleneck of TPU. The proposed architecture results in the reduction of time 10% compared to the original model, although memory usage increased slightly. The test is evaluated with a matrix product that has various instructions. TPU with proposed parallelized ECC block shows 7% faster than the original TPU with ECC and was able to perform the proposed test accurately.

  • In this paper, we investigate a problem with an e-learning system for e-business environments and introduce the solving method of the problem. To be more accurate, existing Web-hosted and ASP (Application Service Provider)-oriented service model is difficult to cooperate and integrate among the different kinds of systems. So we have produced sharable and reusable learning object, they have extracted a principle from pedagogical designs for units of reuse. We call LIO (Learning Item Object). This modeling makes use of a constructing for XML Web Services. So to speak, units of reuse from pedagogical designs are test tutorial, resource, case example, simulation, problem, test, discovery and discussion and then map introduction, fact, try, quiz, test, link-more, tell-more LIO learning object. These typed LIOs are stored in metadata along with the information for a content location. Each one of LIOs is designed with components and exposed in an interface for XML Web services. These services are module applications, which are used a standard SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and locate any computer over Internet and publish, find and bind to services. This guarantees the interoperation and integration of the different kinds of systems. As a result, the problem of e-learning systems for e-business environments was resolved and then the power of understanding about learning objects based on pedagogical design was increased for learner and instruction designers. And organizations of education hope for particular decreased costs in constructing e-learning systems.

  • With rapid developments in technology and communications' many teachers are increasingly exposed to a variety of e-Learning environments that they must develop new competencies and skills to be successful e-Learning teachers. The purpose of this training program, sponsored by HRD Korea (Human Resources Development Services of Korea), is to provide e-Learning teachers with meaningful opportunities for promoting quality e-Learning teaching. This program covers pedagogical issues as well as technical and practical aspects of the e-Learning environments. Before starting the program development the survey and the current e-Learning program assessments were conducted. The training program is divided into three modules as follows: 1) theoretical issues of e-Learning, 2) development of e-Learning contents, and 3) implementation of e-Learning environments. These three modules can be selectively reorganized in response to teacher requirements and demands. ln each module, there are five subtopics that include creative teaching and interaction strategies for promoting the effective e-Learning teaching. ln conclusion, teachers will gain greater understanding of teacher roles in e-Learning instruction, more flexibility in teaching jobs, increased confidence and knowledge to act as e-Learning facilitators through the completion of this training program.

  • In the recent years, malicious codes called malware are having shown significant increase due to the code obfuscation to evade detection mechanisms. When the code obfuscation technique is applied to malwares, they can change their instruction sequence and also even their signature. These malwares which have same functionality and different appearance are able to evade signature-based AV products. Thus, AV venders paid large amount of cost to analyze and classify malware for generating the new signature. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for detecting metamorphic malwares. The proposed mechanism first converts malware's API call sequences to call graph through dynamic analysis. After that, the callgraph is converted to semantic signature using 128 abstract nodes. Finally, we extract all subgraphs and analyze how similar two malware's behaviors are through subgraph similarity. To validate proposed mechanism, we use 273 real-world malwares include obfuscated malware and analyze 10,100 comparison results. In the evaluation, all metamorphic malwares are classified correctly, and similar module behaviors among different malwares are also discovered.
