간호학생의 임상수행능력에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The Influencing Factors on Clinical Competence of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify clinical competence and to analyze influencing factors on clinical competence for second year college nursing students. Methods: The data were collected from 183 students by means of self reported questionnaires with clinical competence, satisfaction of clinical practice experience, critical thinking disposition, and self-directed learning, on June 18th 2007 and June 25th 2008. Results: The influencing factors on clinical competence of nursing students were satisfaction of clinical practice experience and critical thinking disposition. The more adaptable a student's major was, the higher the clinical competence and satisfaction of clinical practice experience. The score of self-directed learning was the highest in the well adapted group of a major. For clinical competence categories, the level of basic nursing was the highest followed by psychosocial nursing, patient education, nursing process, monitoring and patient physical assessment. The level of direct nursing care was the lowest among nursing students. Conclusion: In conclusion, results of this study suggest that constructing a cooperative system between colleges and educational hospitals, intensifying preceptors' and professors' clinical instruction, and developing a multimedia learning module and practice using simulators or standardized patient care is necessary to promote clinical competence of nursing students.

웹기반 사례중심 심폐응급간호 학습 프로그램 개발 (Development of Web-based Learning Program on Cardiopulmonary Emergency Care Focused on Clinical Scenarios)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a Web-based learning program on cardiopulmonary emergency care for clinical nurses and to evaluate learners' responses. Methods: Based on the assessment of learning needs of clinical nurses, a total of three self-directed learning modules were developed according to the procedure of the ADDIE (assessment, design, development, implementation, & evaluation) model. Results: Each learning module included the emergency treatments and drugs used in the real patients' situations with cardiopulmonary crisis, which had been adopted from the emergency department of a C University hospital located in G-city. Real video clips for endotracheal intubation and ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) were developed with the help of the staff of the department of emergency medicine using a human simulator, $SimMan^{(R)}$. The program published on the Web was evaluated by 20 clinical nurses who are working in the emergency department and wards of a C-University hospital. About 80% of the respondents were satisfied with the program contents, design, and learning strategy. Conclusions: Web-based learning programs on cardiopulmonary emergency care are needed for clinical nurses as educational material for staff education to increase their knowledge for making immediate clinical decisions and in giving skilled care in emergency situations.

The Development and Application of International Collaborative Writing Courses on the Internet

  • In this article, I discuss an International Collaborative Writing Course on the Internet (ICWCI) that focused on the learning effectiveness Korean EFL students (KEFLSs) perceived to be necessary to exchange with international EFL students (IEFLSs). The course development was based on an internet-based instructional module, applying widely accepted EFL theories for modern foreign language instruction: collaborative learning, process writing, project-based learning, and integrated approaches. Data from online discussion forum, mid-of-semester and end-of-semester surveys, and final oral interviews are conducted and discussed. KEFLSs and IEFLSs were questioned about (a) changes in attitude towards computers assisted language learning (CALL); (b) effect of computer background on motivation; (c) perception of their acquired writing skills; and (d) attitude towards collaborative learning. The result of this study demonstrated that the majority of ICWCI participants said they enjoyed the course, gained fruitful confidence in English communication and computer skills, and felt that they made significant progress in writing skills. In spite of positive benefits created by the ICWCI, it was found that there were some issues that are crucial to run appropriate networked collaborative courses. This study demonstrates that participants' computer skills, basic language proficiency, and local time differences are important factors to be considered when incorporating the ICWCI as these may affect the quality of online instructional courses and students' motivation toward network based collaboration interaction.

중학교용 에너지 교육 자료 개발 연구 (A Study on Development of Energy Education Materials for Middle School Students)

  • Our country has been consuming a huge amount of energy in the course of industrialization and its demand is expected to increase enormously in the future. However, the deposits of energy resources are so limited that the settlement of energy problem comes up the essential subject. To solve the energy problem, it is requested that new resources to gain energy stably should be developed and also energy should be economized and used effectively. The effective use of energy and an the wisdom of economy in energy are requested to everybody and these things should be habitualized from very young age through education. Nevertheless, almost every school in our country hasn’t been concerned about energy education. Even though they have a concern, they are very short of the energy education materials and the quality of the materials is not so good. Therefore it is very meaningful to the settlement of energy problem of the country to make the students who will lead our country to make the students who will lead our country in the future realize the seriousness of energy problem and to provide them the necessary knowledge and methods to solve this problem so that they practice those things in everyday life. Having these necessities, this research, supported by The Korea Energy Management Corporation(KEMCO), was performed for 8 months from April 17, 1994 to December 17, 1994. Many peoples participated in this study such as 30 staffs of researchers and authors, 5 staffs of photographers and illustrators, and 3 VCR program producers developing an energy education material set for middle school students that includes a printed material for student, a diskette for computer simulation, a teacher's guidebook, VCR material and its guidebook. The following main development direction was established : First, the material for student should be consisted of units that let students know the seriousness of energy problem. Second, the focus should be put on the necessary method and practice to economize energy actually in real life based on the basic knowledge learned in elementary school. Third, material for student should be consisted of modules to be student activity-oriented teaching-learning rather than lecture-oriented one. The activity, to maximize student's interests, should be presented in various forms such as experiments, investigation, play, data interpretation, computer simulation, visits, expression and appreciation, etc. To develop the energy education materials for middle school students, a research plan was made first. After literature review about domestic and foreign energy education materials, several research trips home and abroad, and discussion meetings, the basic theory of energy education such as the principle, objective, contents, teaching-learning method, and evaluation method was established. Material for student was developed through the following procedures : The activities in the existing energy education materials were analysed and were divided into four categories related to energy using places of home, school, community, and country, and which were again divided into three categories related to time of past, present, and future, Considering these division, nine modules which are structure units of material for student were chosen, Each module comprises 2-4 activities. Totally 31 activities were designed in this way. The syllabi were made out for each activity and writing was asked for to experts related to each activity after several discussions and revision. To complement the draft, another several discussions and revision were also made on it and then pictures and illustrations were asked for. All these procedures complete the material for student, titled ; Energy Inquiry of Middle School Students', which totals 129 pages and is all in color. As the manuscript of material for student was fixed, writing for teacher's guidebook was asked for to the same writers. The draft of teacher's guidebook was also complemented through the several concentrated works and discussions. Teacher's guidebook focused on the teaching-learning principle and methods of energy education and on the concrete instruction cases for effective instruction of material for student. It is organized with two parts : the one is 'general outline' which introduces theoretical contents and the other is 'details' which are practically helpful to teaching-learning. It is totally 131 pages including both 'general outline' and 'details'. The VCR material and its guidebook consist of contents that cultivate the good attitude trying to economize energy and raise student's interests with a purpose of strong motivation to recognize the necessity of economy and practice it. After establishing development direction of VCR material through discussion meetings and research trips, its script was made by relevant experts. Then the script was also reviewed two times. The drafted VCR material made by a video material developing expert was examined and modified by previews twice. After completion of VCR material, the VCR guidebook was made. All these procedures led to the development of VCR material which runs 20 minutes in VHS type. The VCR guidebook shows a production purpose of the program, structure of contents, evaluation methods, and contents of the program in detail to give help to instructors when they use this VCR material, When these energy education materials are used, it is desirable that the VCR material should be presented first to induce student's motive, and then material for student is introduced Since the material for student is composed of activity-oriented modules and each module is independent one another in general, and each activity is, too. the necessary module or activity can be chosen and utilized in any order according to school or class conditions. This energy education materials will contribute to the development of student's ability to solve energy problem in everyday life and teacher's ability to teach the fundamental knowledge and method in solving energy problem.

청소년의 임파워먼트를 위한 의생활 영역 가정과수업의 적용 (Application of Home Economics Teaching-Learning Plan in the Clothing For Teenager's Empowerment)

  • 본 연구는 청소년의 임파워먼트 향상을 위해 개발된 비판과학 관점의 의생활 교수·학습과정안을 적용하고 그 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 Y시에 위치한 K중학교의 2학년 학생(총 42명)으로 선정하여 총 4주 동안 12차시 수업을 적용하였고, 개발된 교수·학습과정안 적용을 통한 임파워먼트의 양적 분석을 위해 5점 척도의 설문지를 구성하여 측정한 후 SPSS/win 22 프로그램을 이용하여 대응표본 t-검증으로 분석하였다. 질적 분석을 위해서 학생 상담 자료, 수업일기, 실행 보고서 등을 수집하였고, 임파워먼트 분석틀을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개발된 의생활 교수·학습지도안 중 모듈A에서 모듈D를 각 2시간씩 진행하였고, 모듈E는 실행 프로젝트로 총 4시간을 할애하여 진행하였다. 모둠별 실행 프로젝트에서는 학생들이 주도해서 홍보 포스터, 스티커 제작 후 배부, 의생활 퀴즈, 온라인상에 의견 올리기, 홍보 동영상, 재활용품 만드는 방법 알리기, 지역사회 기부 등의 사회 참여 활동을 실행하였다. 둘째, 개발된 교수·학습지도안의 양적 자료를 분석한 결과, 정치·사회적 임파워먼트가 사전 평균 3.12에서 사후 평균 3.36으로 유의미한 결과가 나타났다(t=-2.06, p<0.05)였다. 임파워먼트의 질적 자료 분석 결과, 수업을 통해 학생들은 자기 효능감을 인지한 것으로 확인되었다. 개인내적 차원은 긍정적인 자기 인식과 자기 효능감, 대인관계적 차원은 원활한 의사소통, 민주적 의사결정 등을 확인할 수 있었다. 정치·사회적 차원은 타인을 도움으로써 사회에 환원하는 내용 등을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서, 비판과학관점의 가정과수업이 청소년의 임파워먼트에 양적·질적으로 유의미한 영향을 주어 학생들이 사회에서 자신의 역할을 찾고, 타인과의 협력하며, 사회구성원으로서 책임 있는 행동을 할 수 있는 기회를 제공했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

나사 가공 관리를 위한 스마트팩토리 시스템 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Smart Factory System Design for Screw Machining Management)

  • 본 논문은 나사 가공을 위한 원재료 공급부터 시작해서 선반 머신으로 가공되어 제품의 불량 여부에 대한 검수를 스마트팩토리 기술이 도입된 로봇이 자동으로 조립 및 분해 작업을 통해 검수를 해주는 모니터링 시스템에 대해 제안하였다. 생산 지시 수량과 생산 지시에 따른 완료 체크는 변위센서로 원재료 입고 여부에 따른 생산 현황을 체크하였고 가공된 Female, male 의 피치, 외형 검사를 진행하여 OK, NG 판별을 한다. 로봇시스템에서는 원자재 적재, 반출, 파레트 이송 및 전반적인 공정에 개입하며, 유기적으로 구동될 수 있도록 중계역할을 하였고 나사 가공품에 대한 위치 정보는 비접촉 무선 태그를 활용하여 위치 정보를 수집하였고 Energy Saving System으로 장비 생산 효율성 및 가동율에 대해 체크하였다. 환경센서는 공조환경 데이터(온도, 습도)를 수집하여 정확한 온도 및 습도 측정 하여, 제품 가공 품질 영향 체크 제품의 구동 위험 수준 환경(과열, 다습)에 대해 관리 감시하였고 CNC 및 로봇모듈에 대한 제어는 PLC로 하여 이기종 시스템 통합 운영하였다.

기본 간호학 실습교육에서 모듈 학습자료 개발과 그 효과 연구 - 감염과 배설에 관한 실습 교육을 중심으로 (Study on the Development of Modularized Instruction and the Effect of Its Application - Focused on the Asepsis and Elimination Practice -)

  • This study was done to develop self - directed learning modules related to asepsis and elimination including urine and stool for Fundamentals in Nursing practice education contents and to measure the effectiveness of those modules. The subjects of this study were 96 sophomore students in the nursing college. Self-directed learning modules were developed by the researcher on the basis of the Lippincott Learning System of Kruger (1986) and Modules for Basic Nursing Care of Ellis (1992). Videotape was editted by using videotape made by the Lippincott Company and Film strip made by the Trainex Company with Korean dubbing. Self-directed learning was done for one week with the asepsis module and two weeks with the elimination modules after confirming the requiered level of knowledge acquisition through pre-test. For measuring proficiency in self-directed learning, a written test for cognitive domain, a sufficiency test for psychomotor domain, and a confidnece examination for affective domain were given. The data were analyzed using descritive statistics, and Pearson correlation coefficient using a SPSS-PC program. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Sufficiency test and confidence examination grades showed high levels in both asepsis and elimination. 2. Written test grades showed a high level in asepsis and elimination of urine but showed a medium level in eliminationin of stool. 3. Grades of sufficiency and confidence in asepsis and elimination practice were statistically significant with a moderate positive correlation (r=0.4- 0.5, p<0.001). 4. Grades of sufficiency and written tests in asepsis and elimination practice also were statistically significant with a moderate positive correlation (r=0.5-0.7, p<0.001). 5. Students showed relatively high contentment with the self-directed learning modules themselves but revealed relatively low contentment with video program and the self-directed learning process. In conclusion, this study disclosed that proficiency levels in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains were high when asepsis and elimination modules were applied. Also students showed high satisfaction with the modules themselves, but didn't show high contentment with the video programs. In considering low contentment with the self-directed learning process, it is estimated the students had experienced some difficulties about using self-directed learning modules because this was their first exposure to the self-directed learning module and they were already accustomed to the demonstration-practice method.

ARM용 내장형 소프트웨어의 정적인 수행시간 분석 도구 (Static Timing Analysis Tool for ARM-based Embedded Software)

  • 내장형 시스템에서 응용 프로그램을 구동시킬 때는 일련의 태스크들의 집합을 수행하여야 한다. 이러한 태스크들은 특정 하드웨어로 구현 될 수도 있고, 특정 프로세서에서 구동되는 소프트웨어로 구현될 수도 있다. 내장형 시스템에서 응용 프로그램을 구동시키기 위하여 하드웨어/소프트웨어의 자원 선택 및 작업 분할이 필요하게 되고 이때 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 성능 예측이 이용된다. 하드웨어 성능 예측과 달리 소프트웨어 성능 예측은 구동 환경과 밀접한 관계가 있으며, 하드웨어 소프트웨어 통합 설계를 위하여 최적 및 최악의 수행 시간 경계를 예측하는 것은 중요한 문제이다. 수행 시간 경계의 엄격한 예측은 저 비용의 프로세서를 사용할 수 있게 하며, 시스템 비용을 낮추는데 도움을 준다. 본 논문에서는 ARM용 내장형 시스템을 고려하여, loop문의 반복 횟수 경계 값과 프로그램의 추가적인 경로 호출 정보를 이용하여, 수행 시간의 경계를 최대한 실제 값에 접근하도록 예측하는 도구를 개발하였다. 개발된 도구는 현재 i960과 m68k 아키텍처를 지원하는 "Cinderella"라는 시간 분석 도구를 기본 도구로 활용하고 있다. ARM 프로세서를 지원하기 위하여 제어흐름과 디버깅 정보를 추출할 수 있는 ARM ELF 목적 파일 모듈을 추가하고, ARM 명령어 집합을 처리할 수 있는 모듈을 기존 도구에 추가하였다. 여러 가지 벤치마크 프로그램을 대상으로 실시한 실험 결과, 임의의 입력 데이타를 이용하고 수행 횟수를 고려한 ARMulator의 수행 시간이 구현된 도구에서의 정적인 수행 시간 예측 경계 값으로 들어오는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

하드웨어 소프트웨어 통합 설계에 의한 H.263 동영상 코덱 구현 (An Efficient Hardware-Software Co-Implementation of an H.263 Video Codec)

  • 이 논문에서는 하드웨어와 소프트웨어의 통합 설계에 의한 H.263 동영상 코덱을 구현한다. 동영상의 부호화와 복호화를 실시간으로 수행하기 위해 동작 속도 및 응용성을 동시에 고려하여 H.263 코덱의 각 부분 중 어느 부분이 하드웨어 또는 소프트웨어로 구현된는 것이 바람직한지 결정하였다. 하드웨어로 구현하는 부분은 움직임 추정부 및 보상부와 메모리 제어부이고, 나머지 부분은 RISC (reduced instruction set computer) 프로세서를 사용하여 소프트웨어로 처리한다. 이 논문에서는 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 모듈의 효과적인 구현 방법을 소개한다. 특히 하드웨어로 구현되는 움직임 추정부를 위해서 주변 움직임 변위의 상관성 및 계층적 탐색을 이용한 다수의 움직임 후보를 가지고 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, 이 알고리즘에 기반한 소면적 구조를 제안한다. 소프트웨어로 처리되는 DCT (discrete cosine transform) 부분의 최적화를 위해서 움직임 추정부에서 얻어진 SAD (sum of absolute difference) 값에 근거하여 DCT 이후 양자화된 계수들의 통계적 특성을 분류하는 기법을 사용한다. 제안된 방법을 실제 RISC 프로세서와 gate array를 이용하여 구\ulcorner하고, 그 성능이 우수함을 확인하였다.

효율적 교육학습을 위한 웹기반 대화형 원격교육시스템 (Interactive Distance Education System based on the Web for Effective Instruction & Learning)

  • 본 논문은 학교현장에서 학습자의 창의력 신장을 위해 멀티미디어 교육을 지원하는 웹 기반 실시간 교육 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 시스템은 교수 학습자간의 실시간 상호작용과 개별학습, 학습자의 학습일탈을 방지하기 위한 강제화면 분배를 지원할 수 있게 설계되었다. 본 시스템은 UML을 적용하여 다중 사용자 환경에서의 실시간 메시지 교환과 관리를 위한 모듈을 두어 효율적인 상호작용이 가능하게 하였으며, 학습자의 실험 실습을 위한 시뮬레이션이 이루어지고 실험이 방법과 결과분석 등에 대한 질의 응답을 지원한다. 학습자의 학습진행과 지식형성을 위해 시스템의 교육적 기반을 구성주의에 두었다.
