The most emphasized materials in the modern fashion are the elastic materials with the advent of sportswear. In the area of elastic materials, the technology of foaming plastics became main research area. As novel materials, latex and neoprene based fabrics are emerging for the elastic material, among those elastic material staged by renowned fashion designers. We searched those works through literature and pictures, and examined the physical properties. Neoprene composite with filament knit fabrics are excellent in strength and water-proof. Latex fabrics gave smooth feel and elastic feel. These may be adequate for aesthetic textile material. Based on these characteristics, these techno-texitiles will find broad applications in the fashionable materials.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of Art Nouveau interior and furniture. For this purpose, the method of literature analysis was used. First, the general characteristics and background of Art Nouveau were investigated. Then the central architects of Art Nouveau were selected; Victor Horta, Henri Van do Velde, Hector Guimard, Antoni Gaudi and Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and their interior and furniture works were investigate to understand the characteristics of Art Nouveau interior and furniture. Their intoner and furniture works were fantastic and their designs became the base of Bauhous, the beginning of modern design.

Purpose : This purpose of this study is to research basic principles, treatment and kinds of manual therapy of Tuina. Methods : This is a literature study with books and articles. Results : Tuina as a treatment technique with a long history was called by various names. As a term Tuina appears, the technical books and widespread treatments were performed. In modern times, safety was emphasized from chemical and biological side effects of medications, according to this tendency alternative medicine was on the rise. Conclusion : Tuina has a sufficient clinical treatment history and comes into the spotlight as an excellent treatment based on the academic system of oriental medicine.

With expansion of modern cities, a huge number of old industrial facilities have been abandoned. Thus, in the development of ecological city, this study aims to conclude on these old facilities and their ecological landscape designs by analyzing successful cases. The approaches adopted are as follows. Starting with literature review, whereby old industrial facility's definition and developing process are pinpointed, the paper studies representative cases with reuse and re-development theories of ecological design for old industrial facilities, of which renovation types, reuse effects, and design features are particularly examined. Case studies also demonstrate considerations in ecological reuse designs, such as ecological restoration, energy conservation, rainwater collection, and utmost pollution reduction, etc. However, technology, environment and circumstance differences determine that each design project requires concrete analysis, which should also be considered in future ecological design for old industrial facilities.

As the advent of the Internet, most of the modern firms are now forced to use the internet as one of telecommunication tools for daily activities, Especially, as the decision units and/or makers in a firm become geographically dispersed due to the globalization trend, the need for integrating them effectively on the Internet is getting attention from researchers and practitioners much more than ever. In literature, this kind of need has been specially conspicuous in the need for coordinating production and marketing activities which are known as one of the typically conflicting with each other in terms of purposes. Lee and Lee(1999) has proposed an interesting coordination environment for production and marketing, named PROMISE. This paper is aimed at improving the coordination algorithm utilized in PROMISE and accordingly proposing a web-driven DSS for the purpose of transforming PROMISE into a web-based decision support platform for production and marketing coordination.

The franchise form of business relationship remains both relatively unresearched and under-conceptualized despite its current and increasing importance as a business form in modern capitalist industrial society. A franchise is the synergistic combination of a franchisee and franchisor working together to better serve customers, and the success of the franchise system is a function of how well the franchisee and franchisor perform, together and separately. Given the interdependent nature of franchise relationships, the franchise participants need to understand each other as well as the dimensions and dynamics of their franchise relationship. The purpose of this study is to investigate the various factors relationship. The purpose of this study is to investigate the various factors which influence the development of coopertaive relationship in business format franchising system. Based on commitment theory and marketing literature, eight antecedent factors are identified and nine hypotheses are developed.

The Ewha Music Database (EMDB) is an online database comprised of primary source materials related to music education from East Asia during the modern era (1880 to 1945) when Korea, Japan, and China were geopolitically and culturally intertwined. We developed the incipit search in EMDB as an embedded tool. This is the first attempt in Korea to implement a unique search function of musical data using alphabets of musical notes. Unlike in traditional search system that uses general literature information search conditions, such as author, title, publisher, year, number of pages, etc., it offers a new way of searching a musical piece/work and sheet music. This study confirms that digital information technology is an important methodology for research of music culture as a field of humanities.

This paper is to study the tendency of the development of the urban comprehensive park in the modern history of China, and take the urban comprehensive park of Wuhan as an example to study the local research through the literature.. In 1928, Wuhan Urban Comprehensive Park starting stage characteristics to the ideological education of the government as the center, in 1977 the policy of reform and opening to the outside world to entertainment center, ecology design point of view, the introduction of open space and urban plaza, to human centered design, application of science and technology. 2015 in Wuhan Urban Garden Expo theme can be seen in green life as the goal, through the design of urban comprehensive park ecology and human centered design, the application of science and technology development.

This study investigated methodological principles of childhood education in the Choson Dynasty. The study was conducted through review of literature, particularly through the analysis of the textbooks used in childhood education and the Confucianism Classics. The ultimate goal of childhood education in the Choson Dynasty was the moral completion of human beings through daily practice. The methodological principles of childhood education were the principles of learning by imitation, early education, the inseparability of knowing and doing, education for Ye(禮) in daily life, sex-role education, and teaching with consideration of the developmental characteristics of the children. The scientific validity of such methods of traditional education is verified in terms of its many points corresponding to important principles of modern education.

Industrialization has brought great changes in human life. Human sleep patterns have also been much influenced by industrialization and the invention of electricity and the light bulb. Insufficient sleep is a common problem with considerable health, social, and economical impacts on modern society. In this review, we will outline the present state of insufficient sleep in our society, especially catastrophic accidents related with chronic sleep insufficiency. We will discuss the effect of sleep deprivation on human performance by reviewing the literature. We will also emphasize the role of sleep specialists in this issue and highlight the areas in which the principles of sleep medicine can constructively improve public policy and public health.
