The Method of Color Image Processing Using Adaptive Saturation Enhancement Algorithm (적응형 채도 향상 알고리즘을 이용한 컬러 영상 처리 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose an automatic extraction model for unknown translations and implement an unknown translation extraction system using the proposed model. The proposed model as a phrase-alignment model is incorporated with three models: a phrase-boundary model, a language model, and a translation model. Using the proposed model we implement the system for extracting unknown translations, which consists of three parts: construction of parallel corpora, alignment of Korean and English words, extraction of unknown translations. To evaluate the performance of the proposed system, we have established the reference corpus for extracting unknown translation, which comprises of 2,220 parallel sentences including about 1,500 unknown translations. Through several experiments, we have observed that the proposed model is very useful for extracting unknown translations. In the future, researches on objective evaluation and establishment of parallel corpora with good quality should be performed and studies on improving the performance of unknown translation extraction should be kept up.

  • This paper presents a new multi-machine robust control based on an electric differential system for electric vehicle (EV) applications which is composed of four in-wheel permanent magnet synchronous motors. It is based on a new master-slave direct torque control (DTC) algorithm, which is used for the control of bi-machine traction systems based on a speed model reference adaptive system observer. The use of an electric differential in the design of a new EV constitutes a technological breakthrough. A classical system with a multi-inverter and a multi-machine comprises a three-phase inverter for each machine to be controlled. Another approach consists of only one three-phase inverter for several permanent magnet synchronous machines. The control of multi-machine single-inverter systems is the subject of this study. Several methods have been proposed for the control of multi-machine single-inverter systems. In this study, a new master-slave based DTC strategy is developed to generate an electric differential system. The entire system is simulated by Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the new multi-machine robust control based on an electric differential system for use in EV applications.

  • This paper presents the high performance control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) using space vector(SV) PWM method based on hybrid artificial intelligent(HAI) controller. The HAI controller combines the advantages between adaptive fuzzy control and neural network The SV PWM method is applied to a speed control system of motor in the industry field until now and is feasible to improve harmonic rate of output current, switching frequency and response characteristics. This HAI controller is used instead of conventional PI controller in order to solve problems happening when calculating a reference voltage. The HAI controller improves speed performance by hybrid combination of reference model-based adaptive mechanism method, fuzzy control and neural network. This paper analyzes response characteristics of parameter variation, steady-state and transient-state using proposed HAI controller and this controller compares with conventional fuzzy neural network(FNN) and PI controller. Also, this paper proves validity of HAI controller.

An Efficient Hardware Implementation of CABAC Using H/W-S/W Co-design (H/W-S/W 병행설계를 이용한 CABAC의 효율적인 하드웨어 구현)

  • In this paper, CABAC H/W module is developed using co-design method. After entire H.264/AVC encoder was developed with C using reference SW(JM), CABAC H/W IP is developed as a block in H.264/AVC encoder. Context modeller of CABAC is included on the hardware to update the changed value during binary encoding, which enables the efficient usage of memory and the efficient design of I/O stream. Hardware IP is co-operated with the reference software JM of H.264/AVC, and executed on Virtex-4 FX60 FPGA on ML410 board. Functional simulation is done using Modelsim. Compared with existing H/W module of CABAC with register-level design, the development time is reduced greatly and software engineer can design H/W module more easily. As a result, the used amount of slice in CABAC is less than 1/3 of that of CAVLC module. The proposed co-design method is useful to provide hardware accelerator in need of speed-up of high efficient video encoder in embedded system.

  • In this paper, recently, it is described to the piezoelectric transformer technology develops, because it was have to favorable characteristics such as electromagnetic-noise free, compact size, higher efficiency, and superior power density, flux linkage, noiseless, etc. its resonance frequency was used to output waveform of a sine wave. A rotor speed identification method of induction motor based on the theory of flux model reference adaptive system(FMRAS). The estimator execute the rotor speed identification so that the vector control of the induction motor may be achieved. The improved auxiliary variable of the model are introduced to perform accurate rotor speed estimation. The control system is composed of the PI controller for speed control and the current controller using space voltage vector PWM techniuqe and DC-DC converter. High speed calculation and processing for vector control is carried out by digital signal one chip microprocessor. Validity of the proposed control method is verified through simulation and experimental results.

  • In order to reduce the torque pulsation caused by non-sinusoidal flux distribution of the brushless direct drive motor(BLDDM), a new torque control technique is proposed. The linkage flux of the BLDDM is first estimated by using the model reference adaptive system (MRAS) technique and the instantaneous torque of the BLDDM is then estimated from the mathematical model including this estimated linkage flux. By using the estimated instantaneous torque of the BLDDM, the minor torque control loop to suppress the undesirable torque pulsation is designed. To show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme, the simulations and experiments are carried out for the DSP-based BLDDM drive system with a power rate of 120W. It is well demonstrated from these results that the torque and speed control performance of the BLDDM is much improved by employing the proposed control scheme.

  • When the vector control, which does not need a speed signal from a mechanical speed sensor, it is possible to reduce the cost of the control equipment and to improve the control performance in many industrial application.   • This paper presents a neural network based self-tuning fuzzy PID control scheme with variable learning rate for sensorless vector controlled induction motor drives. MRAS(Model Reference Adaptive System) is used for rotor speed estimation. When induction motor is continuously used long time. its electrical and mechanical parameters will change, which degrade the performance of PID controller considerably. This paper re-analyzes the fuzzy controller as conventional PID controller structure, introduces a single neuron with a back-propagation learning algorithm to tune the control parameters, and proposes a variable learning rate to improve the control performance. The proposed scheme is simple in structure and computational burden is small. The simulation using Matlab/Simulink and the experiment using DS1102 board show the robustness of the proposed controller to parameter variations.

  • 본 논문에서는 3상 PWM 정류기의 스위치 개방 고장시 감지 및 허용 운전 방법에 대해 제안한다. 스위치의 개방 고장이 발생 하면, 한상의 전류가 반주기 동안 나타나지 않기 때문에 출력 직류전압의 리플로 나타나게 된다. 이경우 고장 감지 및 허용 운전을 하지 않으면, 전력 품질을 저하되며, 직류 링크 콘덴서의 수명이 감축되는 문제를 발생 시킨다. 제안된 기법은 추가적인 하드웨어 없이 간단한 모델 적응 제어 (Model Reference Adaptive System)을 이용하여, 고장된 스위치를 감지 하며, 고장난 스위치의 반대 스위치를 켜고 나머지 2상을 전류제어 하여 3상 전류를 평형상태로 만들어 출력 직류전압의 리플을 줄이는 허용운전을 제안한다. 본 논문은 6kW급 3상 PWM 정류기 시스템을 모의해석을 통해 제안된 기법의 타당성을 입증 하였다.

  • Speed and torque controls of induction motors are usually attained by the application of position and speed sensors. However, speed and position sensors require the additional mounting space, reduce the reliability in harsh environments and increase the cost of a motor. Therefore, many studies have been performed for the elimination of speed and position sensors. This paper investigates an improved sensorless control of an induction motor. The proposed control strategy utilizes the MRAS(Model Reference Adaptive System) for estimating the speed of a sensorless induction motor. The proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation and experimentation.
