Characteristics Control of Thickness Vibration Mode Piezoelectric Vibrator Using Negative Impedance Converter Circuit (부임피던스 회로를 이용한 두께 진동 모드 압전 진동자의 특성제어)

  • 전극분할 된 횡진동 모드 압전 진동자에 NIC 회로를 적용한 특성제어 방법을 두께 진동 모드 압전 진동자에 적용하여 그 가능성을 확인해 보았다. 동일한 특성을 가진 두 개의 두께 진동 모드 압전 진동자를 분극방향이 서로 마주보게 제작한 다음, NIC 회로를 적용하여 그 실험결과를 PSpice 모델을 이용한 시뮬레이션과 비교하였다. 그 결과 NIC 회로의 저항 $R-s$,의 변화에 따라 두께 진동 모드 압전 진동자의 품질계수는 제어되었으며, NIC 회로를 적용하지 않은 경우보다 품질계수가 약 18.9배 정도 향상되었다.

Investigation on Electromagnetic Field Characteristics of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine Considering Harmonics of Phase Current due to Influence of Mechanical Energy Storage System

  • This paper investigates the influence of mechanical energy storage on the interior permanent magnet synchronous machine (IPMSM) when it is operated in the generating mode. An IPMSM with six-poles and nine-slots employing concentrated coil winding type is considered as the analysis model, and a surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor directly connected to a heavy wheel is applied as the mechanical energy storage system by using the moment of inertia. Based on the constructed experimental set-up with manufactured machines and power converters, the generated electrical energy is converted into the mechanical energy, and the electromagnetic filed characteristics of IPMSM are subsequently investigated by applying the measured phase current of IPMSM based on finite element method. Compared to the characteristics in a no-load condition, it is confirmed that the magnetic behavior, radial force, and power loss characteristics are highly influenced by the harmonics of the phase current due to the mechanical energy storage system.

  • Auxiliary power supply developed by domestic technology has very important function that not only effect on main power converter & inverter system, traction motor and train control system which are related to performance of train, but also influence on power supply for HVAC(Heat, Ventilation, Air-conditioning) and lighting device which are related to comfort of passengers. This paper shows characteristic test results of auxiliary power supply such as working condition and performance, which is associated with velocity of train, operating mode and surrounding equipment, through test running. Also it shows the results deduced from comparison analysis between designed data and manufactory test data as measuring in put voltage of auxiliary power supply. And, it propose a modification of design parameter for stabilizing operation and improving reliability.

  • The analysis of static power converter circuit using state-space method is presented. Semiconductors are modeled in two-state resistors depending on their ON or OFF states. Then the modes of circuit are determined according to the conducting states of semiconductors and different describing matrices are given automatically for each mode. Newton-Raphson algorithm is used as an iterative method for obtaining steady-state solution and an adjoint network is introduced for the efficient and accurate evaluation of the Jacobi matrix in the algorithm. Using the porogram exploited from the above algorithm, it is shown through examples that the results are in good agreement with the analytic solutions and computation time is considerably reduced for obtaining the steady-state solutions.

  • Ac-dc PWM single-stage converters that integrate the PFC and dc-dc conversion functions in a single switching converter have been proposed to try to minimize the cost and complexity associated with implementing two separate and independent switch-mode converters. In this paper, two simple ac-dc single-stage PWM full-bridge converters are considered - one current-fed, the other voltage-fed. The operation of both converters is explained and their properties are noted. Experimental results obtained from simple lab prototypes of both converters are presented, then compared and discussed.

  • In this paper, voltage-fed high frequency resonant inverter of instantaneous current phaser control method used to DC voltage source separated is proposed. In the output control method, a novel circuit type of phase shift driving signal method with CVCF illustrated, also the operation principle of the proposed circuit is described in detail and its characteristics are presented as to normalized parameters. According to the each mode, in order to the circuit analysis and characteristic evaluation of the state equation are derives and present used to normalized parameter. In the future, this proposed inverter show that it can be practically used as power source system for the lighting equipment of discharge lamp, DC-DC converter etc.

  • In this paper, electronic ballast with Interleaved Boost Cell is presented. The proposed topology is based on a single-stage ballast which combines a boost converter and a half-bridge series resonant inverter High power factor and low THD(reduction of current ripple) are achieved by using the boost semi-stage operating in discontinuous conduction mode, and inverter semi-stage operated above resonant frequency to provide zero voltage switching is employed to ballast the fluorescent lamp. The experimental results from the ballast system with fluorescent lamps have demonstrated the feasibility of the proposed electronic ballast.

  • It is essential to evaluate harmonic characteristics of high speed train using power electronics equipment such as converter-driven motor drives, battery chargers and auxiliary power supplies. The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze harmonics characteristics of korea high speed train prototype. This paper presents result of harmonics measurement and analysis of harmonics characteristics in terms of loading, speed and operation mode.

  • 본 논문에서는 영전류 모드로 진입한 zero voltage transition(ZVT) interleaved bi-direction low voltage DC-DC converter(IB-LDC)의 도통 손실을 최소화하기 위한 위상 제어가 제안된다. IB-LDC의 출력단 배터리가 완충되어 영전류 모드로 진입하면 IB-LDC의 입 출력 평균 전류는 0[A]로 감소하지만 보조 회로 전류는 기존의 설계 값에 의해 감소하지 않아 지속적인 도통 손실을 일으킨다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 영전류 모드로 진입한 IB-LDC의 보조 회로에 ZVT 조건을 만족시키는 공진 전류만 흐르도록 하여 도통 손실을 최소화하는 위상 제어를 제안하였다. 또한 PSIM simulation 및 실험을 통해 증명하였다.
