The techniques related to ultra-high strength concrete(UHSC) became the key issue in recent days since requirements of the high-rise building which story is over than 100 gradually increases. Therefore, for the development of 150MPa UHSC this research is generally categorized by 4 parts: development of pre-mixed binders, evaluation for the fire performance of coarse aggregate, optimization of the mixture proportion, and mock-up test. Finally, based on the optimized mixture and its laboratory tests, mock-up test for wall and column specimens were carried out to simulate and evaluate the UHSC in real situation. The mechanical properties of core specimens were compared with the cylinder specimens made in laboratory. For instance, it showed the reasonable the results that the strength at the age of 91 days is 183MPa.

Condensation has mainly occurred in corridor type apartment door which is exposed to the outside air and is made of steel, which has high thermal conductivity. As a result, the total costs of repair have increased with the number of disputes with residents. In this study, therefore, we investigate materials and construction methods used in apartment door, perform a computer simulation to find out possible improvements, and then suggest the dew point to prevent the occurrence of condensation throughout simulation. The results indicate that the temperature that condensation does not occur is $15.4^{\circ}C$, and the optimum method of achieving this dew point is shown to be a door frame system including a large vertical slot to decrease the area of thermal conduction between the outer and inner portions of the door frame. Mock-up tests show that the surface temperature of the door frame was higher than the dew point, and the system can withstand severe cold conditions of $-20^{\circ}C$. In application test, the surface temperature of door frame with vertical slots is $5.9^{\circ}C$in average, which is higher than the existing door frame. Furthermore, in the temperature distribution of the surrounding door measured with infrared ray camera, the existing door shows the high temperature distribution indicating lack of insulation, but the improved door shows the low temperature distribution indicating higher insulation.

This paper explains fire safety tests of a hybrid composite train carbody with carbon/epoxy sandwich bodyshell and stainless steel underframe. In this study, a large scale mock-up was used to evaluate the fire safety of the composite train carbody. The test was conducted to the bare composite carbody mock-up without interior facilities and the fully equipped one. Tile fire propagation and temperature distribution of the carbon/epoxy bodyshell and the glass phenol interior panels was evaluated under the real fire accident scenario. The test scenario was based on the DaeGu subway fire accident. From the tests, both the surface temperature of the interiors and the composite bodyshell wore lower than tile ignition temperature. In addition, the fire spread along the surface of the interiors and bodyshell was not occurred.

The present study conducted mock-up tests under the simulated sewage environments to examine the practical significance and limitation of coating materials that were previously developed on the basis of the bacterial glycocalix as a protection of concrete structures exposed to microbiological and sulphate attacks. The variations of the compressive strength and mass of the concrete due to the sulphate attack were measured using cylinder specimens. The bacteria growth and glycocalix formulation were calculated from the samples extracted from the sewage pipes. The next generation sequencing analysis was also conducted for environmental damage assessment due to the use of Rhodobacter capsulatus in the simulated sewage environments. The mock-up tests revealed that the developed coating materials have a good potential in resisting the sulphate attack, indicating no reduction on compressive strength and mass of the coated concrete under the sewage environment. At the age of 91 days, the concentrations of viable bacteria and glycocalix measured from the hardened coating materials were 1.4×104cell/mL and 67.5mg/㎤, respectively. Moreover, harmful strains were not observed in the sewage water including glycocalix-coated concrete pipes. This implies that Rhodobacter capsulatus used in the coating materials does not influence negatively the microorganism cluster in the sewage environments.
This paper presents a series of tests to produce the h~gh quality concrete to be filled Inside the
steel tube columns. Thls concrete filled steel tube system requires not only the high strength,
but a150 the flowable concrete. Laboratory test has been performed to clarlfy the material
characteristics and to produce the optlmal mix design proportion. Full scale site mock up test
has been then carried out to slnlulate the actual construct~on conditions including the product~on
of concrete at the rermcon batch plant, transportation to the construction site, proper workabil~
ty and man power required , 4ddit1onal mock up test has finally been performec to irivesti
gate any unfavorable construction s~tuatioils since the actual concrete placement has been sched
uled in cold weather period, so that the high quality concrete construction is convinced to be
successfully carried out.

As the use of various electronic equipments has been increased recently according to industrialization and information network establishment, concern about electromagnetic wave exposed environment has also been increased. Therefore, this study aims to verify electromagnetic wave absorbing effects of inorganic paint that is made of carbon, electro-conductive materials with regard to its physical characteristics, its electromagnetic wave absorbing rate through a mock-up test for proving its effects in the indoor condition. The results are as follows: The results of running tests on electromagnetic wave absorbing inorganic paints for checking their requirements as painting material such as adherence degree, resistance to fine crack, resistance to washing, alkali-resistance, discoloration-resistance, etc. show that inorganic paints have the physical characteristics meeting the requirements for painting materials. In addition, it shows that the electromagnetic wave absorbing effect, in line with the number of paintings and the thickness of paintings, secures $75\~89\%$ of efficiency. And the mock-up test shows that the electromagnetic wave absorbing effect inside building is directly proportional to the distance from the source of electromagnetic wave such as electronic equipments.
To shorten the construction times of nuclear facility structures, three high-strength concrete mixtures were developed with specific consideration given to their curing temperatures, their economic efficiency, and the practicality of their quality control. This study was conducted to examine the temperature rise profiles of these three concrete mixtures and the potential for early-age thermal cracking in the primary containment vessel of a nuclear reactor with a wall thickness of 1200 mm. The one-layer placement height of the concrete for the primary containment vessel was increased from the conventional 3 m to 3.5 m. A nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) was conducted using the thermal properties of concrete determined from the isothermal hydration and adiabatic hydration tests, and tuned through comparisons made with temperature rise profiles obtained for 1200-mm-thick mock-up wall specimens cured at temperatures of 5, 20, and 35℃. The hydration heat performance of the three concrete mixtures and their potential to produce thermal cracking in nuclear facilities indicate that the mixtures have considerable potential for practical application to the primary containment vessel of a nuclear reactor at various curing temperatures, fulfilling the minimum requirements of the ACI 301 and minimizing the likelihood of the occurrence of thermal cracks.
The main purpose of this paper is the numerical analysis of the non-linear seismic response of a RC building mock-up. The mock-up is subjected to different synthetic horizontal seismic excitations. The numerical approach is based on a 3D-model involving multilayered shell elements. These elements are composed of several single-layer membranes with various eccentricities. Bending effects are included through these eccentricities. Basic equations are first written for a single membrane element with its own eccentricity and then generalised to the multilayered shell element by superposition. The multilayered shell is considered as a classical shell element : all information about non-linear constitutive relations are investigated at the local scale of each layer, whereas balance and kinematics are checked afterwards at global scale. The non-linear dynamic response of the building is computed with Newmark algorithm. The numerical dynamic results (blind simulations) are considered in the linear and non linear cases and compared with experimental results from shaking table tests. Multilayered shell elements are found to be a promising tool for predictive computations of RC structures behaviour under 3D seismic loadings. This study was part of the CAMUS International Benchmark.

CFT (Concrete-Filled Tube) is a type of steel column comprised of steel tube and concrete. Steel tube holds concrete and the concrete inside tube takes charge of compressive load. This study presents structural performance of the CFT column which has 73~100 MPa high strength concrete inside. Fluidity, mechanical compression, pump pressure test in flexible pipe were conducted for understanding properties of the high strength concrete. Material properties were achieved by various experimental tests, such as slump, slump flow, air content, U-box, O-Lot, L-flow. In addition, mock-up tests were conducted to monitor concrete filling, hydration heat, compressive strength. From construction sites in Sang-am dong and University of Seo-kang, long-term behaviors could be effectively predicted in terms of ACI 209 material model considering elastic deformation, shrinkage and creep.
