A Security Framework for Ubiquitous Computing Environment

  • Most security solutions and middleware on home network consider internet users as approaching subject. It is unrealistic where the most subjects are mobile users who want to control home network devices. Therefore minor and fast certification structures are needed to control other devices with mobile device that has lower computing capacity. To solve the above problems, this paper wants to build safe certification frame work for internet and mobile users to control household devices safely. New certification structure is proposed to get out of heavy certification structure like PKI and to minimize encrypting and decrypting operation by compounding session key and public key.

Packet Scheduling Algorithm Considering a Minimum Bit Rate for Non-realtime Traffic in an OFDMA/FDD-Based Mobile Internet Access System

  • In this letter, we consider a new packet scheduling algorithm for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access/frequency division duplex (OFDMA/FDD)-based system, e.g., mobile broadband wireless access or high-speed portable internet systems, in which the radio resources of both time and frequency slots are dynamically shared by all users under a proper scheduling policy. Our design objective is to increase the number of non-realtime service (e.g., WWW) users that can be supported in the system, especially when the minimum bit rate requirement is imposed on them. The simulation results show that our proposed algorithm can provide a significant improvement in the average outage probability performance for the NRT service, i.e., significantly increasing the number of NRT users without much compromising of the cell throughput.

Localization of Mobile Users with the Improved Kalman Filter Algorithm using Smart Traffic Lights in Self-driving Environments

  • The self-driving cars identify appropriate navigation paths and obstacles to arrive at their destinations without human control. The autonomous cars are capable of sensing driving environments to improve driver and pedestrian safety by sharing with neighbor traffic infrastructure. In this paper, we have focused on pedestrian protection and have designed an improved localization algorithm to track mobile users on roads by interacting with smart traffic lights in vehicle environments. We developed smart traffic lights with the RSSI sensor and built the proposed method by improving the Kalman filter algorithm to localize mobile users accurately. We successfully evaluated the proposed algorithm to improve the mobile user localization with deployed five smart traffic lights.

  • 무선 인터넷 환경의 발달로 인하여 모바일로 정보를 구하고자 하는 수요가 급격히 증가함과 동시에 무수히 많은 컨텐츠가 증가 하고 있다. 그러나 컨텐츠의 질은 유료로 제공하는 벨소리 다운로드 등의 컨텐츠에 머물로 있어 일반 유저들이 원하는 정보 서치 욕구는 채워지지 못하고 있다. 한편 그러나 이유로는 모바일 컨텐츠를 제작하는 비용이 크기 때문에 비용대비 효과를 거두지 못하는 측면으로 컨텐츠가 늘지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 웹 컨텐츠를 모바일 컨텐츠로 바로 전환하는 프로그램을 소개하고 웹 사이트구축 시 필요한 가이드라인과 같이 모바일 컨텐츠에서도 모바일용 컨텐츠 가이드라인을 제시해 보고 제시된 컨텐츠 가이드라인을 이용하여 모바일 뉴스 사이트를 구현하였다.

모바일뱅킹 사용의도의 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determinants of Intention to Use Mobile Banking)

  • Mobile technologies and services have become one of the inevitable parts of people's lives and mobile businesses have also been widespread. Popular mobile internet services through cell phones have made people in the financial industry consider that 'mobile' is promising. Nevertheless, there have been little studies of mobile services in the financial industry and most of the studies have been concentrated on internet services. The main purpose of this study is to investigate on the determinants of intention to use mobile banking. To achieve the goal, based on the theoretical backgrounds of the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). Survey questionnaires were distributed via post & email to 500 users who have been experiences with cell phone and have an account. Out of 291 responded questionnaires, 275 data sets were available for statistical analysis with SPSS 10.1. Research hypotheses are analyzed by LISREL 8.30. Factor analysis identified seven external factors : (1) convenience, (2) cost, (3) unusefulness, (4) riskiness, (5) personal innovativeness (6) users' self-efficacy (7) experience of mobile services. Results of this study show that convenience, unusefulness, riskiness, personal innovativeness and experience of mobile services have significant effects on intention to use mobile banking . Much of the previous researches have dealt with service provider only and have focused on mobile internet. In this regard, when it comes to a viewpoint that regards the mobile banking sector as a new sector of mobile businesses. This study may provide a guideline to activate of mobile banking acceptance.

인터랙티브 모바일 증강현실 콘텐츠 저작도구 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Interactive Authoring Tool for Mobile Augmented Reality Content)

  • 본 연구에서는 모바일 환경에서 사용자가 원하는 마커 위에 2D 이미지, 3D 모델, 동영상과 같은 가상객체를 증강시키고 인터랙션 이벤트를 연결시켜 주는 모바일 증강현실 콘텐츠 빌더(MARB ; Moblie AR contents Builder, 이하 MARB)를 개발하였다. MARB은 사용자가 원하는 마커 위에 다양한 가상객체를 증강시켜주며, 마커에 따른 여러 인터랙션 이벤트를 선택적으로 제공한다. 또한 모바일 환경에서 간편하게 구동하기 위해 모바일 콘텐츠 형태로 개발되었으며, 모바일기기에 설치하면 간단한 GUI(Graphical User Interface)를 이용한 저작이 가능하다. MARB은 기존 개발자뿐만 아니라 일반 사용자가 모바일 콘텐츠를 자유롭게 저작할 수 있도록 하여 다양한 모바일 증강현실 콘텐츠를 원하는 사용자들에 의해 다방면적으로 활용될 것으로 기대되며, 모바일 증강현실 시장 확장에 걸림돌이 되고 있는 모바일 증강현실 콘텐츠 개발의 어려움을 극복하는데 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

모바일 IPTV 시장 활성화를 위한 소비자 연구 (A Study on Consumers' Perception and Attitudes for Market Promotion of Mobile IPTV)

  • 본 연구는 현재 사용 중인 모바일 동영상 서비스의 이용행태를 분석하고 모바일 동영상 서비스 중 모바일IPTV에 대한 소비자 인식을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 모바일 동영상 서비스는 전체 응답자의 82.8%가 사용하고 있었으며 향후 모바일 IPTV의 이용 의향에 대해서는 33.6%가 의향이 있다고 응답하였다. 향후 모바일 IPTV 이용시 고려사항으로는 다양한 실시간 채널을 가장 높은 빈도로 선택하였으며 다음으로 이용요금 및 요금제를 두번째 고려 사항으로 선택하였다. 그리고 향후 모바일 IPTV 이용시 주로 이용할 영상종류 및 지불의향 금액도 조사하였다. 또한 모바일 IPTV를 이용하지 않겠다는 가장 큰 이유에도 '요금 및 요금제가 비싸기 때문'이었는데 가격요인은 모바일 IPTV 이용여부에 가장 크게 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 모바일 IPTV의 활성화를 위한 실행방안을 제안하였다.

공영자전거 시스템의 모바일과 웹 통합서비스 (A Mobile Application and Web Integration Service for Public Bicycle Sharing System)

  • This paper proposes and implements a mobile service and web service integration for utilizing public bicycle sharing system NUBIJA. The NUBIJA system is operated by Changwon City, GyeongNam since 2008 and maintains 247 unattended bicycle sharing terminal on the city. Average users per day of the NUBIJA are more than 8,000 and many users want to get more services from their mobile phones. We implemented realtime mobile bicycle rental and return information service. The informations are acquired from each terminal kiosks and we integrated the information and location based services(LBS) on iOS and Android platform. In this paper, we described an integration services between web and mobile application and shows graphical user interface for highly customized on mobile platforms.

  • In this study, we identified the characteristics of mobile fashion shopping and verified the path model of effects of these characteristics on mobile fashion shopping purchase intention through perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. We conducted the survey targeting smartphone users in their 20s~30s and analyzed the structural equation model using AMOS 16.0. The results were as follows: Mobile fashion shopping characteristics (enjoyment, credibility, instant connectivity, security, and personalization) had positive effects on perceived usefulness and perceived usefulness influenced attitude toward purchase and purchase intention positively. Attitude toward purchase affected purchase intention in a positive way and perceived usefulness had indirect effect on purchase intention through attitude toward purchase. In conclusion, we proposed the marketing strategies of the mobile fashion shopping businesses.

  • As a result of growth sensor-enabled mobile devices such as PDA, cellular phone and other computing devices, in recent years, users can utilize the diverse digital contents everywhere and anytime. However, the interfaces of mobile applications are often unnatural due to limited resources and miniaturized input/output. Especially, users may feel this problem in some applications such as the mobile game. Therefore, Novel interaction forms have been developed in order to complement the poor user interface of the mobile device and to increase the interest for the mobile game. In this paper, we describe the demonstration of the gesture and posture input supported by an accelerometer. The application example we created are AM-Fishing game on the mobile device that employs the accelerometer as the main interaction modality. The demos show the usability for the gesture and posture interaction.
