A Mobile Platform System based on SBC (SBC 기반 차세대 이동형 단말기 개발)

  • In this paper, we develop the next generation mobile system based on SBC(Server Based Computing). SBC is one of the popular topic and only one server system is used as multiple personal systems with a terminal, a monitor and a keyboard. The advantages of this system are easy-upgrade, low costs and convenience for each user. But it is difficult to design and manufacture the multimedia streaming system and devices control system for external devices. In this paper, we represent and develops the Mobile system based on SBC and the test performances shows that our system has good performances of multimedia system and security for internet.

  • To address the need for autonomous control of remote and distributed mobile systems, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications are rapidly gaining attention from both academia and industry. M2M communications have recently been deployed in smart grid, home networking, health care, and vehicular networking environments. This paper focuses on M2M communications in the vehicular networking context and investigates areas where M2M principles can improve vehicular networking. Since connected vehicles are essentially a network of machines that are communicating, preferably autonomously, vehicular networks can benefit a lot from M2M communications support. The M2M paradigm enhances vehicular networking by supporting large-scale deployment of devices, cross-platform networking, autonomous monitoring and control, visualization of the system and measurements, and security. We also present some of the challenges that still need to be addressed to fully enable M2M support in the vehicular networking environment. Of these, component standardization and data security management are considered to be the most significant challenges.

  • Ubiquitous mobile computing is becoming easier and more attractive in this ambient technological Internet world. However, some portable devices such as Personal Digital Assistant (PDAs) and smart phones are still encountering inherent constraints of limited storages and computing resources. To alleviate this problem, we develop a cost-effective protocol, iATA to transfer ATA commands and data over TCP/IP network between mobile appliances and stationary servers. It provides mobile users a virtual storage platform which is physically resided at remote home or office. As communications are made through insecure Internet connections, security risks of adopting this service become a concern. There are many reported cases in the history where attackers masquerade as legitimate users, illegally access to network-based applications or systems by breaking through the poor authentication gates. In this paper, we propose a mutual authentication and secure session termination scheme as the first and last defense steps to combat identity thief and fraud threat in particular for iATA services. Random validation factors, large prime numbers, current timestamps, one-way hash functions and one-time session key are deployed accordingly in the scheme. Moreover, we employ the concept of hard factorization problem (HFP) in the termination phase to against fraud termination requests. Theoretical security analysis discussed in later section indicates the scheme supports mutual authentication and is robust against several attacks such as verifiers' impersonation, replay attack, denial-of-services (DoS) attack and so on.

  • Android that was made by Google and Open Handset Alliance is the open source software toolkit for mobile phone. In a few years, Android will be used by millions of Android mobile phones and other mobile devices, and become the main platform for application developers. In this paper, the integrated login application based on Google's Android platform is developed. The main features of the mobile combination login application content based on Android are as follows. First, the application has more convenient login functionality than the functionality of general web browser as the web browser of the mobile-based applications(web browser style applications) as well as security features and faster screen(view) capability by reducing the amount of data transfer. Second, the application is so useful for management of ID and Password, and it can easily manage multiple ID information such as message, mail, profile. The results of performance evaluation of the developed application show the functionality that can login many kinds of portal sites simultaneously as well as the ability that can maintain login continuously. Currently, we are trying to develope a couple of the technologies that can insert multiple accounts into one ID and check all information on one screen.

  • The purpose is to measure user experience in security-related services, focusing on Danggeun Market and Bungae Jangter, which are representative services in Korea among online trading of used goods. Using mobile applications, qualitative and quantitative research by conducting task experiments and surveys and in-depth interviews. As a result of the study, active interfaces are needed to make it easier for users to recognize safety and security services within current used trading platforms, a secure settlement method that benefits sellers, and services being provided to enhance security also need to consider graphical elements. This study is expected to help the continued development of safe used trading platforms considering security aspects on C2C-type platforms where buyers become sellers.

  • Xamarin is a representative cross-platform development framework that allows developers to write mobile apps in C# for multiple mobile platforms, such as Android, iOS, or Windows Phone. Using Xamarin, mobile app developers can reuse existing C# code and share significant code across multiple platforms, reducing development time and maintenance costs. Meanwhile, malware authors can also use Xamarin to spread malicious apps on more platforms, minimizing the time and cost of malicious app creation. In order to cope with this problem, it is necessary to analyze and detect malware written with Xamarin. However, little studies have been conducted on static analysis methods of the apps written in Xamarin. In this paper, we examine the structure of Android apps written with Xamarin and propose a static analysis technique for the apps. We also demonstrate how to statically reverse-engineer apps that have been transformed using code obfuscation. Because the Android apps written with Xamarin consists of Java bytecode, C# based DLL libraries, and C/C++ based native libraries, we have studied static reverse engineering techniques for these different types of code.

LSTM Android Malicious Behavior Analysis Based on Feature Weighting

  • With the rapid development of mobile Internet, smart phones have been widely popularized, among which Android platform dominates. Due to it is open source, malware on the Android platform is rampant. In order to improve the efficiency of malware detection, this paper proposes deep learning Android malicious detection system based on behavior features. First of all, the detection system adopts the static analysis method to extract different types of behavior features from Android applications, and extract sensitive behavior features through Term frequency-inverse Document Frequency algorithm for each extracted behavior feature to construct detection features through unified abstract expression. Secondly, Long Short-Term Memory neural network model is established to select and learn from the extracted attributes and the learned attributes are used to detect Android malicious applications, Analysis and further optimization of the application behavior parameters, so as to build a deep learning Android malicious detection method based on feature analysis. We use different types of features to evaluate our method and compare it with various machine learning-based methods. Study shows that it outperforms most existing machine learning based approaches and detects 95.31% of the malware.

Smart Factory Platform based on Multi-Touch and Image Recognition Technologies (멀티터치 기술과 영상인식 기술 기반의 스마트 팩토리 플랫폼)

  • In this work, we developed a platform that can monitor status and manage events of factory workplaces by providing events and data collected from various types of multi-touch technology based sensors installed in the workplace. By using the image recognition technology, faces of the people in the factory workplace are recognized and the customized contents for each worker are provided, and security of contents is enhanced by the authenticating an individual worker through face recognition. Contents control function through gesture recognition is constructed, so that workers can easily search documents. Also, it is possible to provide contents for workers by implementing face recognition function in mobile devices. The result of this work can be used to improve workplace safety, convenience of workers, contents security and can be utilized as a base technology for future smart factory construction.

  • This study examined the current state of fitness IT which are commercially available, and proposed the prospect and promoting plans for fitness IT. Latest wearable smart market has been reorganized into smart watch market and fitness tracker market. Fitness trackers which are typical devices of fitness IT technology has developed various types of such as watch, band, clothes, glasses, and lens. Until now, the most popular type of fitness tracker are watch and band including clip, necklace, hair band etc.. Also Apple and Google referred to as the two major axes of mobile platform has provided a health-related platform such as "Healthkit" and "Google Fit" for preoccupying the fitness business. The view of the fitness IT has seen a continuous growth trend considering smaller and lighter of fitness-related wearable device. To continuous growth and promote of fitness IT, it is expected to require mash-up a variety of fitness applications and services, ensuring the convenience of user experience, design and resonable price.

Two Factor Authentication for Cloud Computing

  • The fast-emerging of cloud computing technology today has sufficiently benefited its wide range of users from individuals to large organizations. It carries an attractive characteristic by renting myriad virtual storages, computing resources and platform for users to manipulate their data or utilize the processing resources conveniently over Internet without the need to know the exact underlying infrastructure which is resided remotely at cloud servers. However due to the loss of direct control over the systems/applications, users are concerned about the risks of cloud services if it is truly secured. In the literature, there are cases where attackers masquerade as cloud users, illegally access to their accounts, by stealing the static login password or breaking the poor authentication gate. In this paper, we propose a two-factor authentication framework to enforce cloud services' authentication process, which are Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication and mobile out-of-band (OOB) authentication. We discuss the framework's security analysis in later session and conclude that it is robust to phishing and replay attacks, prohibiting fraud users from accessing to the cloud services.
