  • The mobile tole-cardiology system is the new research area that support an ubiquitous health care based on mobile telecommunication networks. Although there are many researches presenting the modeling concepts of a GSM-based mobile telemedical system, practical application needs to be considered both compression performance and error corruption in the mobile environment. This paper evaluates three wavelet ECG compression algorithms over CDMA networks. The three selected methods are Rajoub using EPE thresholding, Embedded Zerotree Wavelet(EZW) and Wavelet transform Higher Order Statistics Coding(WHOSC) with linear prediction. All methodologies protected more significant information using Forward Error Correction coding and measured not only compression performance in noise-free but also error robustness and delay profile in CDMA environment. In addition, from the field test we analyzed the PRD for movement speed and the features of CDMA 1X. The test results show that Rajoub has low robustness over high error attack and EZW contributes to more efficient exploitation in variable bandwidth and high error. WHOSC has high robustness in overall BER but loses performance about particular abnormal ECG.

  • Objective : To evaluate the status of mobile personal health records (mPHR) applications of Atopic Dermatitis, assessing general characteristics, information content, features of PHR content and functions. Method : Searches were conducted from Android's Google Play and iOS's App Store. Main criteria used to include mPHRs were: providing health information of PHR function of Atopic Dermatitis; operating in Korean or English; for human. Selected mPHRs were analyzed considering general characteristics, information contents, data elements, and application features. Results : 19 applications were included in this study. 15 were providing health information. Data elements of information included general information, symptom, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, management and FAQ. No single application contained all seven data elements. Only Eight applications had PHR function. In the features analysis, one PHR applications contained all eight PHR functional features; saving profile function, profiles supported, password, import data, export data, information provided, progress chart and push-up alarm. Conclusion : mPHR is an emerging health care technology. The majority of existing mPHR applications only provide one-way information. Application designed to help users and doctors to exchange mutual information was the only one. Also, there was no application that can record the Traditional Korean Medicinal treatment information. However, as the mobile market continues to expand it is likely that more comprehensive mPHRs will be developed in the near future. New advancements in mobile technology can be utilized to enhance Tranditional Korean Medical health care.

  • As the number of Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) patients increases in a global pandemic situation, the usefulness of mobile computed tomography (CT) is gaining attention. Currently, mobile CT follows the basic safety and essential performance evaluation criteria of whole-body or limited-view X-ray CT in order to obtain device approval and evaluation in the Republic of Korea. Unlike stationary CT, mobile CT is not operated in shielded areas but rather areas such as intensive care units, operating rooms, or isolation rooms. Therefore, it requires a different basic safety and essential performance evaluation standard than stationary CT. In this study, four derived basic safety evaluation criteria related to electrical, mechanical, and radiation safety were included (dose indication test, protection against stray radiation, safety measures against excessive X-rays, half-value layer measurement); and seven essential performance evaluation criteria were included (tube voltage accuracy, mAs accuracy, radiation dose reproducibility, CT number of water, noise, uniformity, and spatial resolution); total eleven basic safety and essential performance evaluation criteria were selected. This study aims to establish appropriate basic safety and essential performance evaluation criteria for simultaneously obtaining images with diagnostic value and reducing the exposure of nearby patients, medical staff, and radiologic technologists during the use of mobile CT.

  • In this report, we apply an anomaly detection algorithm to a mobile oral health care application. In particular, we have investigated one class YOLOv3 as an anomaly detection model to classify pictures of mouths which will be used as inputs in the following machine learning model. We have achieved outstanding performances by proposing appropriate annotation strategies for our data sets and modifying the loss function. Moreover, the model can classify not only oral and non-oral pictures but also output preprocessed pictures that only contain the area around the lips by using the predicted bounding box. Thus, the model performs prediction and preprocessing simultaneously.

The information is such as medical information and personal health record and the information collected by utilization and dissemination of mobile devices. Therefore, the interest and demand for systems that can integrate and manage the Personal Health Record(PHR) is increasing. Quantity and quality of information that is collected from the patient can have a major impact on the diagnosis and treatment of Korean Medicine(KM) in clinical practice. Because closely observe the usual clinical symptoms of patients to utilize the treatment. But if the interview when memories are not sure of the correct answer does not get much easier to find exactly the symptoms. So when recording original symptom(素證) and daily subjective symptom can be helpful for care. Therefore, the personal health care services that can record and manage and own is necessary based on KM. In this paper, we propose Korean Medicine Personal Health Record Platform(KM PHR Platform). We have selected the significant symptoms that mean to the personal records from symptom information required for diagnosis in KM. And classifying and scoring as the symptoms were used as personal health care indicators. And significant symptoms were easily configure a screen that can be recorded. simple operation is recorded as a symptom. It was designed to reflect these functions. So KM PHR Platform helps to Personal health care. Doctor may be able to help in the diagnosis and prognosis observation by reference to shared symptom.
