A Crowdsourcing-based Emotional Words Tagging Game for Building a Polarity Lexicon in Korean (한국어 극성 사전 구축을 위한 크라우드소싱 기반 감성 단어 극성 태깅 게임)

  • Sentiment analysis refers to a way of analyzing the writer's subjective opinions or feelings through text. For effective sentiment analysis, it is essential to build emotional word polarity lexicon. This paper introduces a crowdsourcing-based game that we have developed for efficiently building a polarity lexicon in Korean. First, we collected a corpus from the relating Internet communities using a crawler, and we classified them into words using the Twitter POS analyzer. These POS-tagged words are provided as a form of mobile platform based tagging game in which the players voluntarily tagged the polarities of the words, and then the result was collected into the database. So far we have tagged the polarities of about 1200 words. We expect that our research can contribute to the Korean sentiment analysis research especially in the game domain by collecting more emotional word data in the future.

  • As the augmented reality market has rapidly grown in recent years, various platform interfaces have emerged. In addition, it provides recommended travel information for each user based on a smartphone. Based on the recommended travel information, it provides the information of a tour path. Even though it is implemented in mobile devices and does not have continuous communication with servers, it needs new technologies that can provide additional entertainment services such as cultural and historical sites in corresponding regions while still providing guides depending on user movements

  • Education tools expressed in texts and images turned into the edutainment such as a education and playing experience. Augmented reality(AR) technology in the field of edutainment was possible to have an amused-education by maximizing experiences. Recently, it is also served in a variety of mobile applications which exploit AR technology. The paper is to describe on the practical measures for the experience of education through designing and implementing edutainment contents. The implementation makes use of a engine 'Vuforia', and a platform 'Unity 3D'.

  • The study investigated the users' functional requirement, degree of acceptance and preference of game broadcast real-time review .Secondly it comparatively analyzed the types and locations of game broadcast real-time review through eye tracking tech. The results show that users have high functional requirements and high acceptance for game broadcast real-time review but their preference has no significant correlation with the feature. Among the types of game broadcast real-time review the type with translucent text bubble took the highest visual attention. The above shows that the users' visual behavior has the tendency of special style. The visual attention analysis results of different types and locations of game broadcast real-time review in the study can play a guiding role in the interface design of real-time review feature in the future.

  • As the world's population ages, the incidence of dementia is increasing, and the psychological and economic burden on patients and their families is becoming a major social issue. As a result, various solutions are being sought to prevent dementia. In this study, we designed and implemented a serious game consisting of three types of mini-games aimed at effective dementia prevention, and improved the limitations of existing dementia prevention serious games as follows. Firstly, by implementing the game in a 3D environment, we were able to provide users with an enhanced play environment and experience. Secondly, by implementing three different mini-games to choose from, we were able to provide users with a variety of fun and experiences, as well as a variety of brain training. Third, by providing game content that can train not only spatial or visual cognitive abilities, but also visual and auditory cognitive abilities in combination, we have improved the efficacy of improving users' cognitive ability and memory. Fourth, we made it more accessible to users by supporting cross-platform play on PC or mobile devices.

  • Many of users play Mobil Social Network Games (M-SNG). M-SNGs are played through social network, and typically features multiplayer and asynchronous gameplay mechanics. It is most often implemented as mobile devices with mobile instant messenger app. Kakaotalk provids mobile game platform. The purpose of this study is to find significant factors that have effects on the commitment of M-SNGs. We also conduct multi-group comparison test to study the difference in factors of models between time t and time t1. Time t is October, 2012 and time t1 is April, 2016. This study is to empirically test the research model using data collected from M-SNGs' users. We survey two different groups of time t and time t1 people with the same model. We use structural equation model analysis with AMOS 18.0 and compare two models of different times. This study is to give academicians and practitioners insight about its effects and implications

NC Soft images an expansion in entertainment industry which open doors to the future of enjoy break through innovative online game and creative AI & IT technologies, focused on new business opportunities that are solely NC's own. This study starts with the implication on why focusing on exploration innovation and exploitation strategy at the same time in NC Soft is so challenging. NC Soft manages to their online & mobile gaming competencies in the long term and achieves their sustainable growth by incremental innovation (e.g. game planning, game programming, and graphic design). Also, for innovative success, pursuing exploration strategy is essential. NC Soft have built a strategic alliance spanning K-POP, digital contents platform, movie, and animation, sharing the connectivity of entertainment domains with major contents corporations. The findings of this study would also beneficial to entertainment and contents corporation executives and could provide some road-map on managing the dual challenges of exploration and exploitation implementations.

  • Cellular network evolution and development of multi-function cellular phones introduce new mobile business mode. Cellular operators provide mobile internet services using the mobile browser such as ME and WAP and the mobile multimedia platform such as WIPI, J2ME, and BREW. New mobile applications are developed using mobile platforms provided by cellular operators as cellular phones having multimedia solutions such as camera, MP3, MPEG, 3D game engine, DMB, PAN such as bluetooth, IrDA, W-LAN, and location information using GPS are developed. Content providers have problems of redevelopment of a mobile application for different mobile platforms. In this paper, we propose a conversion solution for interoperability of applications developed on different mobile platforms of WIPI and BREW. We analyze APIs of WIPI and BREW and develop conversion solutions.

  • A mobile phone is becoming no longer a voice communication tool due to smartphones and mobile internet. Also, it now becomes a total entertainment device on which we can play game and get services by variety applications through the Web. As smartphones are getting more popular, their usages are also increased, which makes the interest of advertising industry in mobile advertisement increased but it is bound to be limited by the size of the screen. In this paper, we suggest an augmented reality logo system based on Android platform to maximize the effect of logo advertisement. After developing software and mounting it on a real smartphone, its performances are analyzed in various ways. The results show the possibility of its application to real world but it's not enough to provide real time service because of the low performance of hardware.

The Role of Public Food Delivery Mobile Applications in the Food Delivery Market: A Game Theory Model

  • Purpose: The study aims to assess the current status of domestic public food delivery apps and analyze the process through which sellers choose between private delivery apps and public delivery apps. This involves exploring strategiesto achieve the original purpose of public food delivery apps, which is to enhance the small business owners income and promote consumer welfare by preventing the monopoly of private food delivery apps. Research design, data and methodology: the research methodology is based on a model that introduces adjustments for non-economic effects, considering the preferences of multi-homing consumers, to more realistically reflect the benefits of sellers' choices. For data analysis, real business performance data from 'Daeguro', 'Meokkaebi', and 'Somunnan Shop' were used. Results: The study revealed that if the market share of public delivery apps within a specific region increases beyond a certain level, the benefits for small-business sellers also increase. This leads to the strategic advantage of simultaneously using both delivery apps. Furthermore, the results exhibit a tendency similar to real social phenomena. Conclusions: This analysis confirmed the role of public food delivery apps in the domestic delivery app market and presents policy recommendations, including application integration and the implementation of exclusive public interest functions, to effectively fulfill this role.
