The Implementation of a Battery Simulator with Atypical Characteristics of Batteries (비정형적 배터리 특성을 포함한 배터리 시뮬레이터의 구현)

  • The recent trend of performance increase in the smart mobile devices demands more power consumption and lower batter life time. Among three battery models of mathematical model, electrochemical model and electric model, the Thevenin's equivalent circuit with non-linear function model of SOC in the electrical model is widely used. However, the OCV results have only limited accuracy because of the characteristic shift caused by temperature and age and atypical impedance property that cannot expressed by electrical components. In this paper, the new battery model that improves the accuracy of the existing models is proposed. In the proposed simulator the mathematical model for SOC characteristic is improved and the adjustment for the temperature, the age of battery and atypical electrical characteristics. In the experimental results of predicting of the battery in the static and dynamic state, the proposed simulator shows improved MSE comparing to the results of the existing methods.

  • IStorage is a technology, which can use resources of server PC by using Android Phone supporting wireless internet access. IStorage utilizes resources of server PC through WebDAV protocol. And with GUI interface, Users upload their resources to the server PC and They can perform various kinds of works like Opening, Searching, Deleting and Downloading files. Since it is possible for them to use resources of server PC as if they are originally stored in their mobile devices, there is no limit on using the functions such as watching movies, listening musics and opening document files in real time. We expect this study can to overcome the limitation of storage space and also be a useful technology in the smart phone market.

  • The number of users of SNS such as Twitter and Facebook increases due to the development of internet and the spread of supply of mobile devices such as smart phone. Moreover, there are also an increasing number of content pollution problems that pollute SNS by posting a product advertisement, defamatory comment and adult contents, and so on. This paper proposes an improved method of extracting the feature of content polluter for detecting a content polluter in SNS. In particular, this paper presents a method of extracting the feature of content polluter on the basis of incremental approach that considers only increment in data, not batch processing system of entire data in order to efficiently extract the feature value of new user data at the stage of predicting and classifying a content polluter. And it comparatively assesses whether the proposed method maintains classification accuracy and improves time efficiency in comparison with batch processing method through experiment.

  • In this paper, we developed the composition system that it can efficiently edit camera recording data, images, office document such as powerpoint data, MS word data etc in real-time and broadcasting system that the file is made by the composition system. In this Study, we developed two kinds of algorithm; Approximate Composition for Optimization (ACFO) and Sequence Composition using Memory Que (SCUMQ). Especially, the system is inexpensive and useful because the system is based on mobile devices and PCs when lectures hope to make video institutional contents. Therefore, it can be contributed for e-learning and m-learning. In addition, the system can be applied to various fields, different kinds of multimedia creation, remote conferencing, and e-commerce.

Effects of Annealing of Gas-atomized Fe-Si-Cr Powder (Fe-Si-Cr 분말합금의 열처리 효과)

  • Effects of annealing of the gas-atomized Fe-9%Si-2%Cr powder which is suitable for high frequency application in mobile devices because of its high electrical resistivity were studied with an emphasis on the order-disorder phase transition. The formation of B2 ordered phase could not be suppressed during atomization process. When the powder was annealed at a temperature higher than $550^{\circ}C$ the peak diffracted from $DO_3$ phase could be detected. With increasing annealing temperature lattice parameter and coercivity decreased. An interesting phenomenon was an abrupt increment of coercivity in the powder annealed at $450^{\circ}C$. Highest permeability could be shown in the powder annealed at a relative low temperature of $150^{\circ}C$ and then the permeability decreased with annealing temperature. The above-mentioned results could be successfully explained by both the formation of $DO_3$ ordered phases and the change of electrical resistivity of the Fe-Si-Cr powder which was also originated from the phase transition.

The Study of Applicability to Fixed-field Sensor for Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) Monitoring in Cultivation Area

  • The NDVI (Normalized difference vegetation index) is used as indicators of crop growth situation in remote sensing. To measure or validate the NDVI, reliable NDVI sensors have been needed. We tested new fixed-field NDVI sensor, "SRS (Spectral Reflectance Sensor)" developed by Decagon Devices, during Kimchi cabbage growing season at the cultivation area located in Gochang, Gangneung and Taebaek in Korea from 2014 to 2015. The diurnal variation of NDVI measured by SRS (SRS NDVI) showed a slight ${\cap}$-profile shape and was affected by water on the sensor surface. This means that SRS NDVI around noontime is resonable, except rainy day. Comparisons were made between the SRS NDVI and NDVI of used widely mobile sensor (Cropcircle NDVI). The comparisons indicate that SRS NDVI are close to Cropcircle NDVI (R=0.99). SRS NDVI time series displayed change of the plant height and leaf width of Kimchi cabbage. An obvious exponential relationship is found between SRS NDVI and the plant height ($R^2{\geq}0.92$) and leaf width ($R^2{\geq}0.92$) of Kimchi cabbage. Thus, SRS NDVI will be used as indicator of crop growth situation and a very powerful tool for evaluation of remote sensing NDVI estimates and associated corrections.

  • Various types of memory architectures have been developed, and various compiler optimization techniques have been studied to efficiently use them. In particular, since a memory is a major component that determines performance in mobile computing devices, various optimization techniques have been developed to support them. Recently, a lot of research on hybrid type memory architecture is being conducted, so various compiler techniques are being studied to support it. Existing compiler optimization techniques can be used to achieve the required minimum performance and constraint on low power according to market requirements. References for determining the low-power effect and the degree of performance improvement using these optimization techniques are not properly provided yet. This study was conducted to provide the experimental results of the existing compiler technique as a reference for the development of multibank memory architecture.

A Study on Sentiment Analysis of Media and SNS response to National Policy: focusing on policy of Child allowance, Childbirth grant (국가 정책에 대한 언론과 SNS 반응의 감성 분석 연구 -아동 수당, 출산 장려금 정책을 중심으로-)

  • Nowadays as the use of mobile communication devices such as smart phones and tablets and the use of Computer is expanded, data is being collected exponentially on the Internet. In addition, due to the development of SNS, users can freely communicate with each other and share information in various fields, so various opinions are accumulated in the from of big data. Accordingly, big data analysis techniques are being used to find out the difference between the response of the general public and the response of the media. In this paper, we analyzed the public response in SNS about child allowance and childbirth grant and analyzed the response of the media. Therefore we gathered articles and comments of users which were posted on Twitter for a certain period of time and crawling the news articles and applied sentiment analysis. From these data, we compared the opinion of the public posted on SNS with the response of the media expressed in news articles. As a result, we found that there is a different response to some national policy between the public and the media.

Customer Attitude to Artificial Intelligence Features: Exploratory Study on Customer Reviews of AI Speakers (인공지능 속성에 대한 고객 태도 변화: AI 스피커 고객 리뷰 분석을 통한 탐색적 연구)

  • AI speakers which are wireless speakers with smart features have released from many manufacturers and adopted by many customers. Though smart features including voice recognition, controlling connected devices and providing information are embedded in many mobile phones, AI speakers are sitting in home and has a role of the central en-tertainment and information provider. Many surveys have investigated the important factors to adopt AI speakers and influ-encing factors on satisfaction. Though most surveys on AI speakers are cross sectional, we can track customer attitude toward AI speakers longitudinally by analyzing customer reviews on AI speakers. However, there is not much research on the change of customer attitude toward AI speaker. Therefore, in this study, we try to grasp how the attitude of AI speaker changes with time by applying text mining-based analysis. We collected the customer reviews on Amazon Echo which has the highest share of AI speakers in the global market from Amazon.com. Since Amazon Echo already have two generations, we can analyze the characteristics of reviews and compare the attitude ac-cording to the adoption time. We identified all sub topics of customer reviews and specified the topics for smart features. And we analyzed how the share of topics varied with time and analyzed diverse meta data for comparisons. The proportions of the topics for general satisfaction and satisfaction on music were increasing while the proportions of the topics for music quality, speakers and wireless speakers were decreasing over time. Though the proportions of topics for smart fea-tures were similar according to time, the share of the topics in positive reviews and importance metrics were reduced in the 2nd generation of Amazon Echo. Even though smart features were mentioned similarly in the reviews, the influential effect on satisfac-tion were reduced over time and especially in the 2nd generation of Amazon Echo.
