  • In Mobile ad hoc networks, AODV is one of the famous on-demand routing protocol, which use the routing tables in the nodes if possible, or Route Discovery Process (RDP) is triggered to find a new route. However increasing the traffic of RDP causes dropping of the network performance in the large size of ad hoc networks. In this paper, we propose a novel routing protocol, named as AOZDV (Ad hoc On-demand Zone and Distance-Vector Routing), which enhances the AODV protocol with zone routing. AOZDV creates a Zone with neighbor nodes of the source/destination using traffic and power information, and utilizes Destination-Vector Table for internal routing in the Zone. We show by simulations that AOZDV can reduce the occurrence rate of route fail and RDP caused by route fail compared to existing routing protocols such as DSR and AODV.

  • With the rapidly increasing demand of traffic applications, the need to support seamless and robust multimedia services in the Vehicular Ad hoc Network is growing. Fast handover for the MIPv6 (FMIPv6) developed to solve the MIPv6's problem as well as Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) for basic mobility protocol have been developed to support seamless handover in mobile environment. However, MIPv6 and FMIPv6 are useless for Quality-of-Service (QoS) services such as multimedia applications due to the long handover latency and the packet loss problem. In this paper, we propose a seamless and robust handover scheme that supports multimedia services in Vehicular Ad hoc Network using oCoA and background DAD. Through performance evaluation, we show that the proposed scheme is more proper for Vehicular Ad hoc Network than other schemes.

  • ad-hoc network is self-constructed by mobile hosts without any infrastructure. And the hosts collaborate with each other for routing packet by means of multi-hop communication. But it is too hard to deploy ad hoc network at the large area because of the salability problem caused by low network throughput. network throughput decrease is due to contention on the air among the neighbor host and single interface limitation, and broadcast flooding through overall network. In this paper, to solve the ad hoc scalability problem, we propose mesh network based scalable hierarchical ad hoc architecture, and also propose the adaptation methods for inter-working with the host not including ad hoc functions and the legacy infra-network.

  • The AODV routing algorithm in a mobile ad-hoc networks broadcasts RREQ packet to find a route from a source to a destination. An attacker node may intercept a RREQ packet and attack by falsifying a field in that packet. In this paper, we propose a simply modified method which can protect a routing table from an attack to falsify the hop count field in the RREQ packet. When establishing a connection between a source and a destination, we update routing table of each node on the connection based on minimum delay instead of minimum hop count. By doing this, we can protect routing table from an attack to falsify a hop count Our simulation is implemented in Network Simulator(NS-2). We analyze how an attacker affects the mobile ad-hoc networks. The result of the simulation shows that the proposed mechanism transfers a data securely.

  • In this paper, we evalvated two main QoS supporting routing protorol on wireless ad hoc network. At Presence wireless mobile communication focuses on how to efficiently support mobility of users more than QoS guarantee. However, in order to satisfy requirement of various applications which have been or will be served, QoS support service between source and destination becoming a very important issue. Of all routing protocols, DSR and AOUV are very improtant routing protocol in MANET. So we simulated DSR and AODV QoS Routing Protocol Through simulation evaluation tool NS(Network Simulation) based on various environments.

  • MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network)에서는 노드들의 에너지가 제한적이기 때문에 에너지 효율적인 경로 설정이 중요한 이슈이다. 본 논문에서는 AOMDV(Ad-hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector)를 기반으로 노드의 에너지를 고려한 경로 설정과 유지 기법이 추가된 라우팅 프로토콜을 제안한다.

  • To sense a wide area with mobile nodes, the uniformity of node deployment is a very important issue. In this paper, we consider the coverage problem to sense big data in sparse mobile ad hoc networks. In most existing works on the coverage problem, it has been assumed that the number of nodes is large enough to cover the area in the network. However, the coverage problem in sparse mobile ad hoc networks differs in the sense that a long-distance between nodes should be formed to avoid the overlapping coverage areas. We formulate the sensor coverage problem in sparse mobile ad hoc networks and provide the solution to the problem by a self-organized approach without a central authority. The experimental results show that our approach is more efficient than the existing ones, subject to both of coverage areas and energy consumption.

  • FANET (Flying ad-hoc network) is a self-adjusting wireless network that enables easy to deploy flying nodes, inexpensive, flexible such as UAV in the absence of fixed network infrastructure they communicate amoung themselves. Past few decades FANET is only the emerging networks with it's huge range of next-generation applications.FANET is a sub-set of MANET's(Mobile Ad-hoc Network) and UAV networks are known as FANET.Routing enables the flying nodes to establish routes to radio access infrastructure specifically FANET and among themselves coordinate and collaborate. This paper presents a review on existing proposed communication architecture and routing protocols for FANETS.In addition open issues and challenges are summarized in tabular form with proposed solution. Our goal is to provide a general idea to the researchers about different topics to be addressed in future.

  • Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are infrastructure-less, autonomous, and stand-alone wireless networks with dynamic topologies. Recently, cluster-based ad hoc networks which enhance the security and efficiency of ad hoc networks are being actively researched. And routing protocols for cluster-based ad hoc networks are also studied. However, there are few studies about secure routing protocols in cluster-based ad hoc networks. In this paper, we propose secure routing protocol for cluster-based ad hoc networks. We use Diffie-Hellman key agreement, HMAC, and digital signature to support integrity of routing messages, and finally can perform secure routing.

  • Due to the highly dynamic topology and absence of any fixed infrastructure, stability of selected path in Ad Hoc Networks is of prime importance. The frequent route failure and high control overhead in routing protocol consumes system resources and lead to degraded system performance. In this paper we present route stability metrics reflectting relative position and velocity of nodes, which help determine a stable route.
