The research presented in this paper deals with dynamic stability analysis of the graphene nanoplatelets (GPLs) reinforced composite spinning disk. The presented small-scaled structure is simulated as a disk covered by viscoelastic substrate which is two-parametric. The centrifugal and Coriolis impacts due to the spinning are taken into account. The stresses and strains would be obtained using the first-order-shear-deformable-theory (FSDT). For Poisson ratio, as well as various amounts of mass densities, the mixture rule is employed, while a modified Halpin-Tsai model is inserted for achieving the elasticity module. The structure's boundary conditions (BCs) are obtained employing GPLs reinforced composite (GPLRC) spinning disk's governing equations applying principle of Hamilton which is based on minimum energy and ultimately have been solved employing numerical approach called generalized-differential quadrature-method (GDQM). Spinning disk's dynamic properties with different boundary conditions (BCs) are explained due to the curves drawn by Matlab software. Also, the simply-supported boundary conditions is applied to edges 𝜃=𝜋/2, and 𝜃=3𝜋/2, while, cantilever, respectively, is analyzed in R=Ri, and R0. The final results reveal that the GPLs' weight fraction, viscoelastic substrate, various GPLs' pattern, and rotational velocity have a dramatic influence on the amplitude, and vibration behavior of a GPLRC rotating cantilevered disk. As an applicable result in related industries, the spinning velocity impact on the frequency is more effective in the higher radius ratio's amounts.
Fluorocarbonated-SiO2 films were deposited on p-type Si(100) substrate using FSi$(OC_2H_5)_3$ (FTES), and $O_2$ mixture gases by a helicon plasms source. High density $O_2$/FTES/Ar plasma of ~$10^{12} \textrm{cm}^{-3}$ is obtained at low pressure (<3mTorr) with RF power above 900 W in the helicon plasma source. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) is used to study the relation between the relative densities of the radicals and the film properties. The FTES and $O_2$ gases are greatly dissociated at the helicon mode that is launched at the above threshold plasma density. FTIR and XPS spectra shows that the film has Si-F, and C-F bonds during the formation process of the film which may lower the dielectric constant greatly. The relative dielectric constant, leakage current density, and dielectric breakdown voltage are about 2.8, $8\times10^{-9}\textrm{A/cm}^2$, and > 12 MV/cm, respectively.
The effects of reacted precursors on phase evolution, microstructure, $J_{c}$ and junctional characteristic of the inter-granular contacts were investigated in Ag-sheathed T1-1223 tapes prepared using three kinds of reacted precursors, and compared to those in the tape prepared using an unreacted precursor The precursors were prepared by heat-treating a mixture of Sr-Ba-Ca-Cu-O, $Tl_2$$O_3$, PbO and $Bi_2$$O_3$ powders at $805^{\circ}C$ (precursor I ), $840^{\circ}C$ (precursor II ) and $905^{\circ}C$(precursor III) for 20 min. Tl-1223 phase content, grain size and J\ulcorner in the tapes appeared to increase in an order of precursors I, II and III Compared to tapes prepared using an unreacted precursor, the tapes prewar ed using precursors II and III revealed reduced pore and impurity densities and an enhanced texture. Also characteristic of inter -granular contacts and fraction of strong-links were improved. The improved properties are attributed to enhanced densification resulting from using the reacted precursors.s.
The binary phase equilibrium experiments of carbon dioxide/1,2,3,4 ${\alpha}$-tetrahydro-1-naphthol(${\alpha}$-tetralol) system were conducted to get phase equilibrium and mixture density data at 313.2K, 343.2K and 373.2K and within pressure ranges of 6.0 MPa to 35.0MPa. The phase equilibrium apparatus was type that circulated the vapor and liquid phase, the expended volume measuring system was adopted to microsampling technique for the analysis. The phase equilibrium and mixture density data were obtained for carbon dioxide/${\alpha}$-tetralol system from liquid and vapor phase. The mole fraction of carbon dioxide in liquid phase decreases and the mole fraction of ${\alpha}$-tetralol in vapor phase increases at constant pressure according to increment of temperature, and both the densities of the vapor and liquid phase approach to the mixture critical density as the pressure increases at any temperature. For she thermodynamic analysis, the experimental data were correlated with Peng-Robinson equation in cubic equation of state and compared to theoretical values of carbon dioxide/${\alpha}$-tetralol system. The AAD result was in the range of 1.08%~8.93% in the case of K(1), and was in the range of 45.71%~72.34% in the case of K(2).

This study was carried out in 2002 to determine the usefulness of Jeju scoria for a component of a growth medium and optimum planting density of 'Dejima' seed potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) grown in a wick hydroponic system. The minitubers ($7.0{\pm}0.2\;g$) produced in an aeroponics system were planted at five planting densities (3 to 15 tubers/box; 19 to $95\;tubers/m^2$) in polystyrene boxes (51 cm long $\times$ 31 cm wide $\times$ 20 cm high) containing two media (perlite + peatmoss and Jeju scoria + peatmoss 1:2, v/v mixtures). There were no significant interactions between medium and planting density for the growth and tuber yield traits. Shoot growth and the number of tubers per plant were not significantly affected by the media. However, tuber yield was higher in the perlite + peatmoss mixture than in the Jeju scoria + peatmoss mixture. The percentage of underdeveloped plants ranged from 8.3 to 14.7% at four lower planting densities (3 to 12 tubers/ box), and was 25.8% at the highest planting density (15 tubers/box). As planting density was increased from 3 to 15 tubers per box, seed potato (${\geq}5\;g$ tuber) number increased from 101 to 269 and yield from 6.3 to $11.6\;kg/m^2$. These results indicate that the perlite + peatmoss mixture might be more suitable for seed potato production in the wick hydroponic system, and considering the percentage of underdeveloped plants and tuber yield, optimum planting density would be 56 to $76\;tubers/m^2$ in the system depending on availability of seed potatoes.
Xerostomia and xerophthalmia are delicate or serous side effects, occuring when the radiotherapy is administered to the head and neck cancer patient. It is known that the cause of the above side effect is radiosensitivity of serous cells. In this study, the ultrastructural features of the parotid glands of the X-irradiated rats were observed. Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 200-250g each were anesthetized with sodium thiopental, and placed on the Mitsubishi linear accelerator. Only the head and neck areas of animals were exposured at the distance of 80cm, within the area of $30X30cm$, in the depth of 1cm, with the speed of 200R/min. Total doses applied were 3,000R or 6,000R depending on the experimental groups. Animals were sacrificed on the 6th hour, 2nd day and 6th day after the irradiation. Parotid glands were fixed in the 2.5% glutaraldehyde-1.5% paraformaldehyde solution, and followed by refixation in the 1% osmium tetroxide solution. Dehydrated blocks were embedded in araldite mixture, and ultrathin sections were cut. Sections were contrasted with the solution of uranyl acetate and lead citrate, and observed with JEM 100 CX-II electron microscope. The results were as follows: 1. Normal parotid acinar cells are two types; the light and the dark acinar cells. The light acinar cell contains dense secretory granules, whereas dark acinar cells contains granules of medium density with some darker spots within them, or other cells contain granules of medium density with darker rims. 2. Six hours after the irradiation, many acinar cells were degenerated showing variable stages of cytolytic bodies, light bodies, or dense degenerations. Within the acinar cell, Golgi apparatus and granular endoplasmic reticula were most severely altered elements. Granules showed more contrasting densities and irregularities. 3. Two days after the irradiation, some cytolytic bodies, and focal lucent degeneration of cytoplasm, and fine granular alteration of cytoplasmic matrix were pronounced. But other elements including secretory granules are rather looked unlatered. 4. Six days after the irradiation, most severe alterations were seen. Many intracellular canaliculi (or secretion figures), quanta of cytoplasm containing secretion antecedants, severely irregular luminal border, and again contrasting density of secretory granules showing tigroid spots or dense rims were noted. And myoepithelial degenerations were observed not uncommonly. 5. Irregular densities of secretory granules were interpreted as abnormal components of protein or carbohydrate portion are synthesized or abnormally metabolized under severe X-irradiation. 6. Myoepithelial degeneration and related alteration of nerve endings, etc., were suggested as the other causes of xerostomia following X-irradiation. 7. It is requested that radiation doses should be arranged, considering in mind not only the sensitivity of acinar cells but also the myoepithelial and neural functions.
In order to purify diethylene glycol as main impurity included in p-dioxanone, SLE (solid-liquid equilibria) and mixture density on two components system of p-dioxanone and diethylene glycol were measured and a layered melt crystallization with seed has been applied. The SLE of p-dioxanone and diethylene glycol were a simple eutectic system and the temperature and PDX concentration at eutectic point were 0.08 and 246 K, respectively. Densities of their binary mixtures were well fitted by the best correlation equation, ${\rho}_l=0.405+1.361x+0.002T-0.004xT$. In the melt crystallization, the growth rate (G) was proportional to the 1.5th power of the subcooling degree. The effective distribution coefficient ($K_{eff}$) as the degree of impurity removal was observed to increase with increasing the growth rate and initial p-dioxanone concentration. And also, $K_{eff}$ was correlated with Z function using Wintermantel's model such as $K_{eef}=-0.0604+6.392{\times}Z$. Finally, PDX purity through the optimization of this process can be obtained over 99%.
Microbial growth efficiency in the rumen was studied in sheep given hourly, 31.25 g oaten chaff with either 0.31 and 0.88 g urea or 1.88 and 5.63 g casein (exp. 1) and 33.33 g oaten chaff with 1.04 casein or 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 g urea or the mixture of the casein and urea (exp. 2). Concentrations of ruminal fluid ammonia increased with increasing nitrogenous supplements. Organic matter digestibility in sacco in the rumen was not different irrespective of N sources. Isoacids and valeric acid increased with increasing ingested casein but decreased with increasing urea intake. Peptide and amino acid pools in ruminal fluid increased with increasing ammonia concentrations (exp. 2) suggesting that proteolytic activity and transportation of peptides and amino acids across microbial membrane of rumen microbes may be regulated by the metabolite mechanism (intracellular amino acids and $NH_4{^+}$, respectively). Densities of total viable and cellulolytic bacteria in ruminal fluid increased with increasing ammonia levels but that of small Entodinia decreased. The density of fungal sporangia growth on oat leaf blades decreased with increasing ammonia concentrations but appeared to remain constant in the presence of casein. Efficiency of net microbial cell synthesis was 15-28% higher when ammonia concentrations increased from 100 to above 200 mg N/l regardless of N sources. In conclusion, supplementation of preformed protein had no effect on rumen digestion and microbial growth efficiency. This could not be accounted for its effect on ruminal fluid ammonia. Increased microbial growth efficiency with increasing ammonia levels may be due to a reduction in the turnover of microbial cells within the rumen.
The ever-increasing amount of waste vinyl is causing big environmental problems. In particular, those from farming industry are sometimes left on site or even illegally reclaimed due to the lack of environmental concerns and capacity for collection, which worsens the situation. It is, therefore, believed that the recycling of waste vinyl is the most ideal solution in the viewpoint of environmental preservation. In this context, the potential of vinyl strip as a ground reinforcing material is investigated to expand the application of waste vinyl recycling. In this study, a series of uniaxial compression tests and resonant column tests were performed for sand specimens reinforced with vinyl strips and cement to investigate their reinforcing effects on static and dynamic behaviors. The changes in the uniaxial compressive strength (UCS), the shear modulus and the damping ratio according to the mixing ratio of vinyl strips and cements were analysed for sand specimens, having 40% and 60% relative densities, under various mixing conditions. As a result, both the static and dynamic reinforcing effects of vinyl strip-cement mixture were confirmed and the optimum mixing ratio was proposed.
The effects of sintering temperature and sintering atmosphere on magnetic properties and microstructuresof Mn-Zn ferrites have been studied. Mixture of 52.8mole% $Fe_2O_3$, 26.4mole% MnO, 15.1mole0% ZnO and 5.7mole% NiO was prepared, and 0.1mole% CaO, 0.02mole% $SiO_2$ were added as minor additives. After calcining and ball milling the powder was granulated for compacting. The specimens were sintered at $1, 250^{\circ}$, $1, 300^{\circ}$and 1, 35$0^{\circ}C$ in the various atmosphere of $N_2$, $N^_2\DIV0.6% O_2$, $N_2+2.7% O_2$, $N_2+4.1% O_2$, $N^2+8.2% O_2$ and air for 3 hours and cooled in $N_2$ atmosphere. The grian growth rate and densities increase as sintering temperature and oxygen content of atmosphere increase. At the sintering temperature of $1, 250^{\circ}C$ the initial permeabilities increase as oxygen content of atmosphere increase. At the sintering temperature of$ 1, 300^{\circ}$and $1, 350^{\circ}$ the initial permeabilities show maximum values at $N_2+4.1% O_2$ atmosphere. The secondary peaks of initial permeabilities are observed between 100$^{\circ}$and 20$0^{\circ}C$, and the positions of secondary peaks move to higher temperature as oxygen content of atmosphere increases. Q-factors decrease as sintering temperature increases and oxygen content of atmosphere decreases.
