  • In this paper, we introduce a new iterative method for finding a common element of the set of solutions for mixed equilibrium problem, the set of solutions of the variational inequality for a ${\beta}$inverse-strongly monotone mapping and the set of fixed points of a family of finitely nonexpansive mappings in a real Hilbert space by using the viscosity and Ces$\`{a}$ro mean approximation method. We prove that the sequence converges strongly to a common element of the above three sets under some mind conditions. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results of Kumam and Katchang [A viscosity of extragradient approximation method for finding equilibrium problems, variational inequalities and fixed point problems for nonexpansive mapping, Nonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems, 3(2009), 475-86], Peng and Yao [Strong convergence theorems of iterative scheme based on the extragradient method for mixed equilibrium problems and fixed point problems, Mathematical and Computer Modelling, 49(2009), 1816-828], Shimizu and Takahashi [Strong convergence to common fixed points of families of nonexpansive mappings, Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 211(1) (1997), 71-83] and some authors.

  • We propose a new pipeline of fluid surface reconstruction that incorporates hybrid SDF(signed distance fields) and adaptive fluid surface techniques to finely reconstruct liquid-solid mixed surfaces. Previous particle-based fluid simulation suffer from a noisy surface problem when the particles are distributed irregularly. If a smoothing scheme is applied to reduce the problem, sharp and detailed features can be lost by over-smoothing artifacts. Our method constructs a hybrid SDF by combining signed distance values from the solid and liquid parts of the object. We also proposed a method of adaptively reconstructing the surface of the fluid to further improve the overall efficiency. This not only shows the detailed surface of the solid and liquid parts, but also the detail of the solid surface and the smooth fluid surface when both materials are mixed. We introduce the concept of guiding shape and propose a method to get signed distance value quickly. In addition, the hybrid SDF and mesh reconstruction techniques are integrated in the adaptive framework. As a result, our method improves the overall efficiency of the pipeline to restore fluid surfaces.

  • The concurrent production of methanol and dimethyl ether from carbon dioxide hydrogenation has been studied under various reaction conditions. First, the methanol synthesis was compared with the concurrent production method. For the methanol synthesis, the ternary mixed oxide catalyst (CuO/ZnO/Al2O3) was used and for the coproduction of methanol and dimethyl ether, silica-alumina was mixed with the methanol synthesis catalyst to be a hybrid catalyst. The results show that the co-production provides much higher per-pass yield than methanol synthesis even at very short contact time. The effects of temperature, contact time, pressure and catalyst hybrid ratio on the product yields and selectivities were also determined in the co-production.

  • During the last four years, the pyrosequencing-based 454 platform has rapidly displaced the traditional Sanger sequencing method due to its high throughput and cost effectiveness. Meanwhile, the Sanger sequencing methodology still provides the longest reads, and paired-end sequencing that is based on that chemistry offers an opportunity to ensure accurate assembly results. In this report, we describe an optimized approach for hybrid de novo genome assembly using pyrosequencing data and varying amounts of Sanger-type reads. 454 platform-derived contigs can be used as single non-breakable virtual reads or converted to simpler contigs that consist of editable, overlapping pseudoreads. These modified contigs maintain their integrity at the first jumpstarting assembly stage and are edited by fragmenting and rejoining. Pre-existing assembly software then can be applied for mixed assembly with 454-derived data and Sanger reads. An effective method for identifying genomic differences between reference and sample sequences in whole-genome resequencing procedures also is suggested.

  • The three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations have been solved by a node-centered finite volume method with unstructured hybrid grids. The pressure-velocity coupling is handled by the artificial compressibility algorithm and convective fluxes are obtained by Roe's flux difference splitting scheme with linear reconstruction of the solutions. Euler implicit method with Jacobi matrix solver is used for the time-integration. The viscous terms are discretised in a manner to handle any kind of grids such as tetragedra, prisms, pyramids, hexahedra, or mixed-element grid. Inviscid bump flow is solved to check the accuracy of high order convective flux discretisation. And viscous flows around a circular cylinder and a sphere are studied to show the efficiency and accuracy of the solver.

  • This paper presents an analysis and the methodology of optimal operation strategy of the ESS(Energy Storage System) for reduce electricity charges. Electricity charges consist of a basic charge based on the contract capacity and energy charge according to the power usage. In order to use electrical energy at minimal charge, these two factors are required to be reduced at the same time. QP(Quadratic Programming) is appropriate for minimization of the basic charge and LP(Linear Programmin) is adequate to minimize the energy charge. However, the integer variable have to be introduced for modelling of different charge and discharge efficiency of ESS PCS(Power Conversion System), where MILP(Mixed Integer Linear Programming) can be used. In this case, the extent to which the peak load savings is accomplished should be assumed before the energy charge is minimized. So, to minimize the electricity charge exactly, optimization is sequentially performed in this paper, so-called the Two Stage Hybird optimization, where the extent to which the peak load savings is firstly accomplished through optimization of basic charge and then the optimization of energy charge is performed with different charge and discharge efficiency of ESS PCS. Finally, the proposed method is analyzed quantitatively with other optimization methods.

  • This paper presents a new formulation for forward scalar wave simulations in semi-infinite media. Perfectly-Matched-Layers (PMLs) are used as a wave absorbing boundary layer to surround a finite computational domain truncated from the semi-infinite domain. In this work, a hybrid formulation was developed for the simulation of scalar wave motion in two-dimensional PML-truncated domains. In this formulation, displacements and stresses are considered as unknowns in the PML domain, while only displacements are considered to be unknowns in the interior domain. This formulation reduces computational cost compared to fully-mixed formulations. To obtain governing wave equations in the PML region, complex coordinate stretching transformation was introduced to equilibrium, constitutive, and compatibility equations in the frequency domain. Then, equations were converted back to the time-domain using the inverse Fourier transform. The resulting equations are mixed (contain both displacements and stresses), and are coupled with the displacement-only equation in the regular domain. The Newmark method was used for the time integration of the semi-discrete equations.

  • The stress field around the dynamically propagating interface crack tip under a remote mixed mode loading condition has been studied with the aid of dynamic photoelastic method. The variation of stress field around the dynamic interface crack tip is photographed by using the Cranz-Shardin type camera having $10^6$ fps rate. The dynamically propagating crack velocities and the shapes of isochromatic fringe loops are characterized for varying mixed load conditions in double cantilever beam (DCB) specimens. The dynamic interface crack tip complex stress intensity factors, $K_1\;and\;K_2$, determined by a hybrid-experimental method are found to increase as the load mixture ratio of y/x (vertical/horizontal) values. Furthermore, it is found that the dynamically propagating interface crack velocities are highly dependent upon the varying mixed mode loading conditions and that the velocities are significantly small compared to those under the mode I impact loading conditions obtained by Shukla (Singh & Shukla, 1996a, b) and Rosakis (Rosakis et al., 1998) in the USA.

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid method which is mixed with frame selection and weighting model rank method, based on GMM(gaussian mixture model), for real-time text-independent speaker recognition system. In the system, maximum likelihood estimation was used for GMM parameter optimization, and maximum likelihood was used for recognition basically Proposed hybrid method has two steps. First, likelihood score was calculated with speaker models and test data at frame level, and the difference is calculated between the biggest likelihood value and second. And then, the frame is selected if the difference is bigger than threshold. The second, instead of calculated likelihood, weighting value is used for calculating total score at each selected frame. Cepstrum coefficient and regressive coefficient were used as feature parameters, and the database for test and training consists of several data which are collected at different time, and data for experience are selected randomly In experiments, we applied each method to baseline system, and tested. In speaker recognition experiments, proposed hybrid method has an average of 4% higher recognition accuracy than frame selection method and 1% higher than W method, implying the effectiveness of it.

  • Mixed-model production technology is a method of producing multiple products with one production process and production line in order to reduce wasted manpower and adjust to market trends. In other words, mixed-model production is a flexible production system that changes production volume by model according to market demand. This study has developed a progressive laminated stamping die technology to enable flexible production of a motor core consisting of attaching and detaching the Cam on the back of the punch so that two kinds of stator and two kinds of rotor could be produced in one progressive die.
