  • The purpose of this research is to provide new direction on the field of the furniture design and to establish the identity of Korean furniture design as the flow of craft's juxtapose mixture era where it mix and match Korean traditional craft style materials with the modern furniture design. In other words, it is intended to create new furniture design and propose beautiful Korean luxury furniture design based on the precious unique culture with the traditional craft style, juxtaposition of modern furniture, and reinterpretation. It should grant artistic values that can satisfy consumers having various tastes and scarcity values, plus it should put out aesthetic and creative expressions in furniture design putting into the beautiful traditional craft form values. Furthermore, it is required to create new design through values and spirit, materials, techniques, forms, pattern, and usages by interacting, coordinating, and combining tradition and modern East and West, plus craft and design.

  • Since 1950 postmodernism shows strong influences in literature, architektuTe, art, clothing and other social and cultural fields. It's main conceptswere individual, pluralistic, unconven- tional and deconstruction of social values. The purpose of thisstudy was to review the influence of postmodernism to German clothing for youth. To achieve this purpose, raga- zinesfor youth ("BKAVO") from 1959 to 1994 surveyed including a number of interviews. The characterizations of postmodernism in fashion are as follows: Sport Clothing has an effect on Oaily Clothing. Exotic phenomenon from south america, africa, asia shows strong in fashion. Subculture(Rocker, Hippie, Punker) is as anti-culture sylnbolically expressed in young fashion which is diffrent from mother-fashion. This appeard in Germany in the 50s, 60san6 70s. However, sub-culture-look in the 80s and 90s is presented only in outer style. It does'nt show any symbolic meanings. "Bricolage" ("mix and match") -concept was appeard in 60s and 70s only in fashion of subculture group. This concept generalized in standard fashion in 80s and 90s.andard fashion in 80s and 90s.

Fabrication and Characterization of Self-Aligned Recessed Channel SOI NMOSFEGs

  • A new SOI NMOSFET with a 'LOCOS-like' shape self-aligned polysilicon gate formed on the recessed channel region has been fabricated by a mix-and-match technology. For the first time, a new scheme for implementing self-alignment in both source/drain and gate structure in recessed channel device fabrication was tried. Symmetric source/drain doping profile was obtained and highly symmetric electrical characteristics were observed. Drain current measured from 0.3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ SOI devices with V\ulcorner of 0.77V and Tox=7.6nm is 360$mutextrm{A}$/${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ at V\ulcorner\ulcorner=3.5V and V\ulcorner=2.5V. Improved breakdown characteristics were obtained and the BV\ulcorner\ulcorner\ulcorner(the drain voltage for 1 nA/${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of I\ulcorner at V=\ulcorner\ulcorner=0V) of the device with L\ulcorner\ulcorner=0.3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ under the floating body condition was as high as 3.7 V. Problems for the new scheme are also addressed and more advanced device structure based on the proposed scheme is proposed to solve the problems.

  • Despite rapid social changes, there have been little distinctive or fast shifts in living space, and the kind of housing design that could address the diverse need of residents is required. In the future, complex trend that is built on a mix and match of different sorts of styles is expected to be in vogue. The introduction of natural elements and ornamental factors such as books, antiques and art works into living spaces that are artificial things is expected to contribute to helping people lead a richer and Individual life. This study attempted to present a housing design by instilling culture in an existing living space and making it fit into a new lifestyle. After the position of natural and ornamental components was fixed, a contemporary modern living space was designed, for which art works would become necessary and sufficient conditions. A plane figure of the new living space was offered, and then detailed design for each part was provided. Finally, a finalized design pattern that was suitable for the selected concept was presented.

  • The NMOSFET with gate length of 0.1$\mu$m is fabricated by mix-and-match method. In this device, the electron beam lithography is used to form the gate layer, while other layers are formed by the stepper. The gate oxide is 7nm thick, and the device structure is normal LDD structure. The saturation Gm for gate length of 0.1$\mu$m is 246mS/mm. The subthreshold slope is 180mV/decade for 0.1$\mu$m gate length, but the slope is 80mV/decade for 0.3$\mu$m gate length.

  • This study was carried out with an objective to prepare the framework of conformity for the 21st century modern fashion, which is interactive with mankind, based on a position that the 21st century contemporary fashion with its amalgamating trend of diversified artistic forms may not be elucidated on a standpoint centering on one certain modality. The hybrid fashion trend of historical modality which provides freedom and satisfaction in creation of an individuals expressive power in expressing true desire of mans inside through man-centered thought of the times has made multifarious motives of the past and present fragmentary. It thus extracts inner divisions and the concept of consolidation through three-dimensional form. Modern fashion is newly interpreted by the material and details of high technologies. and is harmonized by mix and match with various expressions. By having it, it is being expressed together with many types of dresses and ornaments. Modern fashion is being expressed together with many types of dresses and ornaments by new interpretations with the material and details of high technologies and by being harmonized with mix and match with various expressions. The hybrid fashion design trend of regional elements formed by stimuli and contacts of diverse local culture by globalization of network that was achieved by scientific technologies of the contemporary information society has disintegrated varied boundaries in the conventional culture by the latest communication technology-new media on the basis of newly created culture. The fact that regional elements could be expressed as if they were interrelated without each being deprived of originality may be explained with an interpretation on pluralism. The hybrid fashion design trend of cultural aspect, which manifests in the background of scientific technological culture as it transcends the societal-cultural boundaries based on the de-centralization theory of Frederic Jameson, has supplemented the imperfect meanings through conversional correlation with other forms and internal program changes. The middle stratal and polyhedral characteristics are seen as each cultural element is dismantled and reassembled by application of 'multiple-time point expression'. Design forming method is not to bring destruction from outside, but to embrace instability and chaos through radical dismantling of the inside. and to pursue diversity and openness. Thus. it is implemented by an approach that takes the role of design process. In communication of discontinuity, continuity was dismantled through forms of mixing, overlap, perversion, insertion and coincidence.

  • This paper aims to derive the specificity of film music of Baz Luhrmann, a Hollywood film director, focusing on his representative works such as Dancing Heroes, Romeo and Juliet, and Moulin Rouge. Frist, Dancing Heroes captures various dance music genres through dynamic shooting techniques and shows trendy sensibility by using the main theme song 'Time after Time,' sung by the main character, Tina. Second, Romeo and Juliet, the original work of Shakespeare, keeps thier lines and stories while decorating gorgeous fashion and rock music in jukebox style. Also, it is harmonized with the most modern and trendy MTV-style video. Third, Moulin Rouge presents film music through the 'mix and match' method, which consists of jukebox-type trendy songs containing classical back stage musical and Bollywood musical images. In conclusion, the style of Baz Luhrmann has been reborn as a unique way of directing Buz Luhrmann's film music that it is expressed by connecting various juke box style music with amazing visual effect. Through director's style, it is possible to suggest the direction of various film music to the industries.

Spin-orbit Effects on the Structure of Haloiodomethane Cations CH2XI+ (X=F, Cl, Br, and I)

  • The importance of including spin-orbit interactions for the correct description of structures and vibrational frequencies of haloiodomethanes is demonstrated by density functional theory calculations with spin-orbit relativistic effective core potentials (SO-DFT). The vibrational frequencies and the molecular geometries obtained by SO-DFT calculations do not match with the experimental results as well as for other cations without significant relativistic effects. In this sense, the present data can be considered as a guideline in the development of the relativistic quantum chemical methods. The influence of spin-orbit effects on the bending frequency of the cation could well be recognized by comparing the experimental and calculated results for $CH_2BrI$ and $CH_2ClI$ cations. Spin-orbit effects on the geometries and vibrational frequencies of $CH_2XI$ (X=F, Cl, Br, and I) neutral are negligible except that C-I bond lengths of haloiodomethane neutral is slightly increased by the inclusion of spin-orbit effects. The $^2A^{\prime}$ and $^2A^{{\prime}{\prime}}$ states were found in the cations of haloiodomethanes and mix due to the spin-orbit interactions and generate two $^2E_{1/2}$ fine-structure states. The geometries of $CH_2XI^+$ (X=F and Cl) from SO-DFT calculations are roughly in the middle of two cation geometries from DFT calculations since two cation states of $CH_2XI$ (X=F and Cl) from DFT calculations are energetically close enough to mix two cation states. The geometries of $CH_2XI^+$ (X=Br and I) from SO-DFT calculations are close to that of the most stable cation from DFT calculations since two cation states of $CH_2XI$(X=Br and I) from DFT calculations are energetically well separated near the fine-structure state minimum.

  • This art~cle reports on the formation of T - Gate with O.1$\mu$m foot and 0.4$\mu$m head width at PMMA/P( MMA/MAA) resist structure using a 30KV electron beam lithography system. From the result of Monte Carlo simulation on PMMA/P( MMA/MAA)/GaAs, we obtain the dissipation energy ratio of forwardscattered electron and backscattered electron within 0.1$\mu$m scattering radius is 19.5 : 1 0.1$\mu$m T - gate has been formed with 30KV gaussian electron beam at a 440$\mu C/\textrm{cm}^2$ dosage. The gamma value of PMMA and P(MMA/MAA) at MIBK : IPA=l : 1 developer was 2.3. The overlay accuracy(3$\sigma$) from mix-andmatch of optical stepper and Ekeam lithography system for fabricating HEMT device is accomplished below 0.1$\mu$m.

Characteristics of the Grunge Look in 21st century fashion (21세기 패션에 나타난 그런지 룩의 표현특성)

  • This study intended to analyze the grunge look as a mode of expression and as a characteristic of the fashion of the 21st century, arguing that the look expressed not only an outward appearance or sub-culture but also a change in our attitude and spirit about contemporary fashion. In the study, I carried out an empirical analysis focused on the collection from 2001S/S to 2010F/W and a literature review. In my results, I classified the grunge look into the following categories: 1. mix and match layering; 2. patchwork, collages, and assemblage using all objects as well as clothing materials; and 3. distressing techniques, such as bleaching and dyeing, unweaving, and tears and holes. I also classified the characteristics of grunge into the following categories: 1. conspicuous destitution, which is intentionally expressed by skillful techniques and craftsmanship, indicating that modern people want to attract attention and be distinguished from others, which reflects an attitude of superiority through ironic fashion choices; 2. high lighting the dissolution of decoration, where destruction, poverty and recombination shown in the grunge look emerged as an artificial and intentional ugly aesthetic in contrast to the existing elegant and sophisticated image; and 3. satire and playfulness, as grunge expresses alienation and conflict in modern society through satire and sarcasm, not attacking or avoiding, but through playful and sarcastic engagement so as to decrease poverty and give temporary freedom.
