A Study on the Sound Paths of Air-conditioner in House (주거 공간내 공조기 소음의 전달 경로에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to determine the sound paths and transmitted sound level in house. An air-conditioner system was selected a typical sound source. The measured transmission loss data shows that the apertures have an significant effect on the transmitted noise and comparable with the existing theoretical data. Therefore the complex aperture was substitute to quantitative apertures approximately. An effective simulation method, ray tracing and mirror image source method, was employed in the prediction of transmitted sound level. The measured results were reflected on the simulated results.

  • 자장 여과 진공 아크법(Filtered Vacuum Arc :FVA)에 의해 증착된 비정질 다이아몬드 박막은 기계적, 광학적 특성이 매우 우수하여 많은 연구자들의 관심의 대상이 되어 왔다. 그러나 아크의 불안정성은 자장 여과 아크 소스의 연속적인 운전을 제한하고, 결과적으로 낮은 생산성을 가져왔다. 본 연구에서는 음극의 형태 및 음극 부근에서의 자기장의 구조를 음극 부식 거동의 관점에서 수치모사 및 실험을 통해서 조사하였다. 소스 전자석과 인출 전자석의 자극 방향이 평행하게 된 구조에서 (magnetic mirror configuration), 음극 후면에 반대 방향의 자극을 가지는 영구자석을 돔으로서 아크 불안정성을 억제할 수 있었다. 또한 소스 전자석에 진동하는 전류를 인가함으로써 아크 스팟의 운동 면적을 효과적으로 확장할 수 있었다. 시간 변화에 따른 빔 전류의 변화로부터 테이프형 음극이 우물형 음극에 비하여 더 안정하다는 것을 확인하였다. 진동하는 소스 전자석의 전류와 직경 80mm의 테이퍼형 음극을 사용하여, 아크 전류 60A에서 약 2000분 동안 사용하였으며, 이때 부식된 부피는 사용 가능한 음극 부피의 약 90%였다. 그리고 약 350mA의 안정한 빔 전류를 현재의 조건에서 얻었다.

  • Single Point Diamond Turning (SPDT) is a cost-effective technique to fabricate metallic mirrors. In particular, the servo-assisted diamond turning option is highly useful for the fabrication of freeform surfaces. However, the SPDT process leaves periodic tool marks on machined mirror surfaces, leading to undesirable diffraction effect, as well as the deviation of input beam. In order to solve this problem, we propose new SPDT machining conditions to minimize tool marks. We will also show the results from optical measurement and Power Spectral Density (PSD) analysis to evaluate the expectable performance for applications in wide field infrared telescopes.

  • A circuit design technique to reduce the propagation time is proposed for the analog parallel processing-based Viterbi decoder. The analog Viterbi decoder implements the function of the conventional digital Viterbi decoder utilizing the analog parallel processing circuit technology. The decoder is for the PR(1.2,2.1) signal of DVD. The benefits are low power consumption and less silicon occupation. In this paper, a propagation time reduction technique is proposed by minimizing the parasitic capacitance components in the layout design of the analog Viterbi decoder. The propagation time reduction effect of the proposed technique has been shown via HSPICE simulation.

  • The needs of ultra precision machined parts is increase every days. But the experimental data of nonferrous metal is insufficient. The cutting behavior in micro cutting area is different from that of traditional cutting because of the size effect. Al6061 is widely used as optical parts such as LASER reflector's mirror or multimedia instrument. Al6061 opper is machined by ultra precision machine with natural diamond tool. From the experiment and discussion on the cutting force and worked surface roughness as the variable spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut. As a result, the cutting force increases as the increasing depth of cut, but the worked surface roughness does not increase so much. The surface roughness is good when spindle sped is above 1200rpm, and feed rate is small. The influence of depth of cut is very small.

  • Ferrite thin film with glass substrate was prepared by ferrite plating method in order to make sunglass which cut off ultraviolet and electromagnetic field. It has single phase of polycrystalline spinel structure and has gloss like as mirror and has hardness without scratch by scraping with nail. The transmittance of ferrite thin film is lowered near 400nm manifestly, which shows that the ferrite thin film was cut off ultraviolet successfully. Therefore, the sunglass with ferrite plating is use of cut of ultraviolet and electromagnetic field.

  • Full-range spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) with a 1-${\mu}m$ band light source is shown here. The phase of the reference beam is continuously stepped while the probing beam scans the sample laterally (B-scan). The two dimensional spectral interferogram obtained is processed by a Fourier transform method to obtain a complex spectrum leading to a full-range OCT image. A detailed mathematical explanation of the complex conjugate resolving method utilized is provided. The system's measurement speed was 7.96 kHz, the measured axial resolution was $9.6{\mu}m$ in air and the maximum sensitivity 99.4 dB. To demonstrate the effect of mirror image elimination, In vivo human eye pathology was measured.

  • Progress in Si crystal and wafer technologies is discussed on single crystal growth, wafer fabrication, epitaxial growth, gettering, 300 mm and SOI. As for bulk crystal growth, the mechanism of grown-in defects (voids) formation, the succes of grown-in defect free crystal growth technology and nitrogen doped crystal are shown. New wafer fabrication technologies such as both-side mirror polishing and etchingless process have been developed. The epitaxial growth of SiGe/Si heterostructure for high speed bipolar device is treated. Gettering technology under low temperature process such as RTP is important, and also it is shown that IG effect for Ni could be predicted using computer simulation of precipitate density and size. The development of 300 mm wafer and SOI has made progress steadily.

  • A description of the basic principles of moire interferometry leads to the design of a eight-mirror four-beam interferometer for obtaining fringe patterns representing contour-maps of in-Plane displacements. The technique is implemented by the optical system using an environmental chamber for submicro-displacement mesurement. In order to estimate the reliability and applicabili쇼 of the system developed, the measurement of coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) for a aluminium block is performed. Consequently, the system is applied to the measurement of thermal deformation of a WB-PBGA package assembly. Temperature dependent analyses of global and local deformations are presented to study the effect of the mismatch of CTE between materials composed of the package assemblies. Bending displacements of the packages and average strains of solder balls are documented. Thermal induced displacements calculated by FEM agree quantitatively with experimental results.
