1.55 $\mu\textrm{m}$ DFB 레이저의 특성에 미치는 Grating구조와 Mirror 위치의 영향 (Effect of Grating Structures and Mirror Positions on Characteristics of 1.55$\mu\textrm{m}$ DFB Lasers)

  • In 1.55.mu.m DFB lasers with two non-AR mirrors, I have analyzed the effect of the sturctures of indes and/or gain gratings and mirror positions on the threshold gains, the lasing frequencies, and the beam profiles in longitudinal direction of lasers. I have obtained the optimum condition of static characteristics that ${\Delta}{\Omega}$(the phase difference betweeen index grating and gain grating is 3${\pi}$/4, $({\kappa}L)_{i}$=4~6 in case of $({\kappa}L)_{i}$=0.9 and $({\kappa}L)_{i}$=3~5 in case of $({\kappa}L)_{i}$=0.7. The modal selectivity and intensity uniformity of this optimum condition are 2~2.5 times better than those of the gain-coupled DFB lasers ${\Delta}{\Omega}$=0). The gain-coupled DFB lasers${\Delta}{\Omega}$=0) have 10$^{10) times better modal selectivity and intensity uniformity than the loss-coupled DFB lasers(TEX>${\Delta}{\Omega}$=${\pi}$).

  • A new dressing technique with utilizes electrolytic phenomenon for realizing effective mirror surface grindings with metal bonded super-abrasive wheels is called “Electrolytic In-process Dressing Grinding”. This technique enabled metal bonded micro-grain wheels, such as micro-grain cast iron fiber bonded wheels, to be used for mirror surface finish processes effectively. But this technique requires a lot of knowledge and experience to perform. And the condition of dressing is variable according to the time. Therefore adaptation of Monitoring and Control technique is needed.

  • A 110 mm diameter aspheric metal secondary mirror for a test model of an earth observation satellite camera was fabricated by ultra-precision single point diamond turning (SPDT) . Without a conventional polishing process, the surface texture of R$\sub$a/=2.8 nm, and the form error of R$\sub$a/=0.05 λ has been stably achieved In a laboratory condition. (omitted)

영아기 자아인식 능력에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Self-Awareness of Infants)

  • The subjects of this study on self-awareness were sixty-four 8- to 30-month-old infants. They were tested with the "Behaviors Observed in Mirror Conditions" (Lewis & Brooks-Gunn, 1979; translated by Jong Moo Kim, 1989). Analyses were by descriptive statistics and ANOVA. Most infants responded when they saw their reflection in the mirror, and their self-awareness increased with age. Most infants under 17 months didn't respond before and after rouge was painted on their noses, but by 18- to 23-months, they started to show a response. Most of the infants older than 24 months noticed something unusual and tried to rub the rouge off when they saw their reflection. This study provides evidence that infants begin to show self-awareness after 18 months of age, and this self-awareness is well developed after 24 months of age.

  • Recentlry, High accuracy and precision are required in various industrial field. To obtain the surface roughness with range from several 10nm to several nm in inner cutting, we need a ultra-precision machine, single diamond tool, cutting condition, and the study of materials. It is very difficult to obtain the mirror surface without new technique. In this paper, Using the new tool holder as well as the ultra precision diamond cutting, we directly processed the inside of an aluminum alloy in order to obtain mirror surface. We have considered the length of tool holder when we design the tool holder. From experimental results, we believe that the new tool holder will improve inner cutting.

  • The magnetic fluid polishing technique can polish the tool of complex shape, because the polishing method which polishes as compress the workpiece by the magnetism abrasives to arrange to the linear according to the line of magnetic force. Therefore, we producted the magnetic fluid polishing device in order that mirror like finishing processes the tool surface. In order to a polishing condition selection, polishing characteristic was estimated by polishing conditions which are magnetic flux density, polishing speed, grain size, magnetic fluid. The tool was polished to the selected polishing condition. The result to evaluate the polished tool's performance with the cutting force and tool wear, the polished tool's performance was improved compared with the tool not to polish.

  • 연속출력 1.2W인 도파관 $CO_{2}$레이저를 설계 제작하고 회전 다면경을 이용하여 Q-스위칭 동작시켜 그 특성을 측정하였다. 내경 2mm, 길이 100mm인 BeO튜브를 사용하여 도파관 $CO_{2}$레이저를 제작한 뒤, Q-스위칭을 수행하기 위해서 레이저의 전반사경 위치에 회전 다면경을 설치하였다. 다면경을 7,559RPM으로 회전시킬 때 발생된 Q-스위칭된 레이저의 펄스폭은 120ns이고 각 펄스의 첨두출력은 250W이었다.

Development of a low energy ion irradiation system for erosion test of first mirror in fusion devices

  • A low energy ion irradiation system based on the deuterium arc ion source with a high perveance of 1 µP for a single extraction aperture has been successfully developed for the investigation of ion irradiation on plasma-facing components including the first mirror of plasma optical diagnostics system. Under the optimum operating condition for mirror testing, the ion source has a beam energy of 200 eV and a current density of 3.7 mA/cm2. The ion source comprises a magnetic cusp-type plasma source, an extraction system, a target system with a Faraday cup, and a power supply control system to ensure stable long time operation. Operation parameters of plasma source such as pressure, filament current, and arc power with D2 discharge gas were optimized for beam extraction by measuring plasma parameters with a Langmuir probe. The diode electrode extraction system was designed by IGUN simulation to optimize for 1 µP perveance. It was successfully demonstrated that the ion beam current of ~4 mA can be extracted through the 10 mm aperture from the developed ion source. The target system with the Faraday cup is also developed to measure the beam current. With the assistance of the power control system, ion beams are extracted while maintaining a consistent arc power for more than 10 min of continuous operation.

모듈형 행동선택네트워크를 이용한 거울뉴런과 마음이론 기반의 의도대응 모델 (An Intention-Response Model based on Mirror Neuron and Theory of Mind using Modular Behavior Selection Networks)

  • 최근 다양한 분야에 서비스 로봇이 상용화되고 있지만 대부분의 로봇 에이전트는 사용자의 구체적인 명령에 의존적이고, 불안정한 센서정보를 기반으로 환경변화에 빠르게 대응하여 목적을 달성하기는 어려운 문제가 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해, 본 논문은 사람이 타인의 의도를 이해하고 대응하는 과정을 설명하는 거울뉴런(mirror neuron)과 마음이론(theory of mind) 시스템을 모델링하고 로봇에이전트에 적용하여 유용성을 입증한다. 제안하는 의도-대응 모델은 거울뉴런의 빠르고 직관적인 대응행동과 중간목적 지향적인 특성을 구현하기 위해, 환경과 목적을 고려하는 행동선택 네트워크(behavior selection network)를 사용한다. 또한, 장기적인 행동계획을 기반으로 대응행동을 수행하는 마음이론 시스템을 수행하기 위해, 계층적 계획생성 기법을 이용하여 중간목적 단위로 행동을 계획하고 이를 기반으로 행동선택네트워크 모듈을 제어한다. 다양한 시나리오에 대해 실험한 결과 외부자극에 적절한 대응행동이 생성됨을 확인하였다.

몰리브덴(Mo) 특성방사선 획득을 위한 다층박막 거울의 최적 설계 및 공차 분석 (Optimum Design and Tolerance Analysis of Multilayer Mirror for Obtaining Characteristic X-ray of 17.5 keV)

  • 단색 엑스선은 적은 방사선 피폭으로 대조도가 높은 의료영상을 만들 수 있다. 엑스선 튜브와 다층박막 거울을 결합하면 높은 플루언스의 단색 엑스선을 얻을 수 있다. 몰리브덴(Mo) 타깃을 갖는 엑스선 튜브에서 Mo 특성방사선(17.5keV)을 높은 반사율로 획득하기 위한 W/C 다층박막 거울의 최적화를 수행하였다. 반사율이 최대가 되는 조건에서 두께주기와 두께비를 결정하였다. 최적 설계된 다층박막 거울에 대한 두께주기와 브래그 정렬에 대한 공차를 구하였다. 증착(deposition) 공차 0.2nm와 회전정렬 공차 ${\pm}0.01^{\circ}$에서 이론 반사율의 85% 이상에 해당하는 반사율이 얻어질 수 있다. 다층박막 거울을 이용하면 높은 플루언스의 특성방사선을 얻어 낼 수 있기 때문에 의료영상 획득 장치에 많이 사용될 것이다.
