복무 부적응 병사들의 자살 시도 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on Experience of Attempted Suicide by Maladjusted soldiers)

  • 본 연구는 복무 부적응 병사들이 경험하고 있는 자살시도 과정에 대한 본질과 구조를 이해하기 위한 질적 연구이다. 연구 참여자는 K도 00군단의 복무 부적응으로 그린캠프에 입소한 병사 10명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 수집은 2016년 10월에서 2017년 9월까지 12개월간 진행하였다. 개별 심층 면담 결과를 Colaizzi(1978)의 현상학적 연구 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 '창살 없는 감옥', '모든 것이 눈치', '가식적인 삶의 연속', '자포자기의 삶'의 4개의 범주, 9개 주제모음과 25개 주제로 도출되었다. 연구결과로 복무 부적응 병사들은 군 문화에 대해 전반적으로 부정적인 경험을 하고 있었다. 군 문화에 적응하지 못한 신세대 병사들이 마지막 단계인, 자포자기의 순간을 이겨내지 못하면 극단적인 행동을 하게 된다. 성격 유형별로 자살요인에 차이가 있었고, 자살 시도 이전 내외부적 도움이 필요한 시점이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 자살 전까지 자살 시도 과정에 대한 구체적인 이해가 선행되지 않으면 복무 부적응 병사들의 자살 예방 정책들은 큰 효과를 기대하기 어렵다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 정신 간호 중재 프로그램과 자살 예방 사업의 기초자료로 활용되기 원한다.

Drinking Behaviors and Health Problems among Enlisted Soldiers in Thailand

  • Alcohol consumption among soldiers impairs health status, performance, and increases the risks of injuries and violence. This study examined drinking behaviors, health problems, and violence among enlisted soldiers at Adisorn military unit in Saraburi, Thailand. Data collection using self-reported questionnaires were distributed to 256 enlisted male soldiers in May 2017. Participants were age 20-22 (93%), Buddhists (98%), high school education or lower (93%). They purchased alcohol at their own expense (46.5%). For alcohol consumption, all were lifetime drinkers (100%). The current drinking patterns were different 28.5% were current drinkers, 65.5% are currently abstaining from drinking (64.5%), and 6.6% stopped drinking permanently. The top three alcohol beverages were beer (52.3%), brandy (25.0%), and hard liquor (19.5%). Problems related to alcohol were from lost balance/falls (6.7%), illness (10.2%), driving under the influence (19.5%), and accidents (24.2%). Violence from drinking in the past month was from fighting (28.1%). This study is the first to provide information about alcohol-related problems in enlisted male soldiers. There is the need to offer straightforward advice, brief counseling, and refer soldiers to receive treatment to prevent alcohol-related problems. Online social media and web-based programs were recommended as platforms to provide preventive alcohol message to the enlisted.

국군간호사관학교 교육과정 개선을 위한 기초 연구 (A Study on Curriculum Improvement of the Korea Army Nursing Academy)

  • 1. Need for and Purpose of the Study. There is an increasing demand for curriculum improvement of the Korean Army Nursing Academy (KANA), since it was upgraded into 4-year institution of higher learning from 3-year one. In particular, it is strongly advocated that the KANA needs the outside expertise for its curriculum improvement-namely not only from the internal military view of points but also from the viewpoints of professional educational society, In line with such a necessity for the study, this study was aimed at 1) analyzing the current actual practices of KANA'S curriculum, 2) investigating the desired practices of KANA'S curriculum, and 3) identifying the discrepancy between the actual and desired practices of curriculum. 2. Problems for the Study This study had 4 problems to be answeared as follows: 1) What are the actual curriculum practices of KANA? 2) What are the desired curriculum practices of KANA? 3) How are the extents of perception of actual and desired curriculum different in four groups (student, faculty & administrator, nurse, and medical doctor in militay hospital) ? 4) What are the restraining forces that impede the change from actual to desired curriculum practices? 5) What are the relationships of curriculum component,』 in actual and desired curriculum practices? 3. Methods and Procedures This study was conducted by means of document analysis in addition to literature review and by means of needs assessment questionnaire which was developed by the researcher. The questionnaire included 62 statments with 7 questions for demographic data collection. The needs assessment questionnaire was managed to a total of 243 subjects (100 students, 46 faculty & administrators, 55 nurses, and 42 medical doctors), The collected data were treated using SPSS computer system so as to calculate mean scores, standard deviations, and correlation coefficients. The significance test was made through t-test and one-way ANOVA. The statistical significance level was set at both .05 and .01 level. 4. Major findings The major findings in this study are as follows: 1) The score of desired practices was significantly greater than that of actual practices, representing a strong need for curriculum betterment. 2) There were significant differences in the perceptions of actual practices as well as desired practices among four groups (student, faculty & administrater, nurse, and medical doctor). 3) The most frequently selected restraining forces were army's inherent character, economical limitation, and educational expertise limitations. 4) Such variables as sex, position attachment to the KANA and grade made a statistically significant effect on the perception of desired curriculum practice, while the variables like marrige, position, and military class made it on the perception of actual curriculum practice. 5) The coefficients among the curriculum components were lower in perception of the actual curriculum practices than those in the desired practices. 5. Conclusions The conclusions based on the major findings of this study are as follows: 1) The current curriculum development procedure of the KANA is not consistent with the theoretical frame of systematic development sarategy of curriculum. 2) There are wide conflicts among the groups who are supposed to participate in curriculnm development, concerning the actual and desired practices of KANN'S curriculum. 3) A great deal of need for curriculum improvement for the KANA is clearly felt, and in particular, in the process of teaching and learning. 4) Each component of curriculum is not intergrated into a whole development procedure, being segregated each other. 5) For better curriculum improvement, such restraining forces as financial and professional limitations should be eliminated. 6. Recommendations 1) For Further Research a. There is a need to replicate this study after in-depth statistical analysis of each item of need assessment questionnaire, and with more representative subjects. b. A study should be conducted which. has its focus on the analysis of restraining forces for the change from actual to desired curriculum practices of the KANA. 2) For KANA'S Curriculum Improvement a. There is a need to promote the professional expertise of the participants in curriculum development and the communication among them. b. It is desirable to establish an institution or section of administration, which is soley in charge of curriculum development. c. To better develop KANA's curriculum not only faculty and administrators but also students should be encouraged to participate in development process, while the military medical doctors' participation should be carefully considered.

한국군 병사의 자살사고 예방을 위한 영적안녕, 자기통제, 조직몰입의 상관관계 연구 (The Correlation Study of Spiritual Well-Being, Self-Control, Organizational Commitment for Prevention of Suicidal Attempt on Korean Soldiers)

  • 목적 이 연구는 한국군 병사의 자살사고 예방을 위해 영적안녕, 자기통제, 조직몰입의 상관관계를 밝히는 것이다. 방법 599여명의 한국군 병사를 대상으로 2013년 12월 1일부터 31일까지 조사한 설문지를 통해 영적안녕, 자기통제, 조직몰입의 상관성을 조사한 양적인 설문조사연구이다. 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용한 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient로 처리하였다. 결과 영적안녕, 자기통제, 조직몰입 간에는 정적 상관관계가 있다. 결론 영적안녕과 자기통제는 대상자들의 조직몰입과 정적 상관관계를 갖는다. 조직몰입을 높이기 위해서는, 건강문제로서 영적안녕에 대한 필요성이 중요함을 인식할 필요가 있다. 또한 영적안녕, 자기통제에 대한 교육 프로그램의 도입 및 자체 개발 및 적용이 필요하다. 이는 병사의 삶을 더욱 건강히 하고, 사회적으로 큰 이득이 될 것이다.

군 병사의 따돌림 피해와 욕구좌절의 관계: 사회적지지의 중재효과 (Victims of Bullying in the Military and its Relationship with Frustration: Mediation Effects of Social Support)

  • 본 연구는 군 병사의 따돌림 피해와 욕구좌절의 관계에서 사회적지지의 중재효과를 파악하고자 실시한 서술적 조사 연구로 육군 병사 316명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과 따돌림의 평균점수는 2.23점, 사회적지지의 평균점수는 3.60점, 욕구좌절의 평균점수는 2.75점이었다. 따돌림과 사회적지지, 욕구좌절 간에는 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 따돌림의 하위변인 모두에서 욕구좌절에 p<.05에서 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 영향력은 심리적괴롭힘(${\beta}=.340$), 인간관계따돌림(${\beta}=.149$), 직무따돌림(${\beta}=.130$) 순이었다. 사회적지지의 중재효과 검정에서 따돌림${\times}$사회적지지 하위변인 상호작용 항 모두에서 욕구좌절에 p<.01에서 유의미한 영향 요인으로 나타났으며, 따돌림${\times}$구성원지지(${\beta}=.456$) 상호작용 항에서 가장 높은 영향력을 보였다. 이와 같은 결과는 따돌림 피해를 인식하는 병사들을 위해 상사나 동료들의 적극적 지지가 이루어질 때 무형적 전력 확보와 구성원 간 단결이 담보될 수 있다는 것을 시사하고 있다.

성인의 초경경험분석에 따른 국민학생을 위한 초경교육의 필요성 제기 (Analysis of Menarche Experience and Raising of Need of Menarche Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop concrete and in-depth knowledge about menarche and to raise the need of menstrual education. The data were collected from purposively sample 34 women from twenties to forties from April 27 to October 10, 1994. Semi-structured intensive interviews were done and these qualitative data were analysed with "Ethnograph" computer program. The results of the study were as follows : 1. The experience of menarche could be classified into two main groups, which were positive and negative response to menarche. The negative experiences were to be shameful, tearful, scared of the phenomena and thought as a kind of punishment for guilt or confused menarche with other symptoms of diseases. On the contrary, the positive experiences were to be proud of physical maturity and to think that is was wonderful, miraculous and to perceive it as a warm experience. 2. The experience of menarche was influenced by various factors. They were the knowledge about menstruation, the quality and amount of informations, the time of menarche, the environmental factors, the response of significant others toward menarche. The experience of menarche could be positive or negative according to these factors. 3. The previous information sources about menstruation could be significant others, school education and mass-media. The significant others were mothers, sisters, friends and the person in charge of school sex education such as school nurses, home economics, military drill and athletics of teachers. And mass-media included sex education booklets, nursery tales, TV programs, and publicity activities of sanitary napkin companies. 4. The opinions of the subjects about the proper time of menarcheal education could be grossly classified into two groups. The first was active approach toward children when they were in elementary school. The second was passive approach which postponed the time until the child ask about it, because it would be awkward for them to discuss about the topic. 5. The participants thought that the ideal methods of menarche education would be systematic school education programs, open discussion with daughters, audio-visual teachings, or practical education in everyday life. 6. The contents of the menarche education based on the participants' opinions, would be positive details about meanings and functions of menstruation. And it would be desirable if the attitudes of the person in charge of education could be positive, open-hearted, and favorable toward menstruation.

구조방정식모형을 이용한 간호장교의 직무만족도 관련요인 분석 (Analysis of the Related Factors on Job Satisfaction in Nursing Officers Using the Structural Equation Model)

  • 본 연구는 간호장교의 인구사회학적 및 직업관련 특성에 따른 직업전문성 인식도, 직무스트레스, 사회적 지지 및 직무만족도 수준을 알아보고, 직업전문성 인식도와 직무스트레스 및 사회적 지지가 직무 만족도에 미치는 영향을 규명해 보고자 시도하였다. 조사대상은 전국 16개 군병원에 근무하는 육군 간호장교 542명으로 하였으며, 조사는 2010년 10월 1일부터 2010년 11월 30일까지의 기간 동안에 구조화된 무기명 자기기입식 설문지를 이용한 설문조사에 의하였다. 연구결과, 조사대상자의 직무만족도는 연령이 높을수록, 기혼군, 주관적인 수면의 질이 좋다는 군, 주관적인 건강상태가 좋을수록, 직위가 높을수록, 근무경력이 길수록, 업무의 신체적 부담정도가 적당하다는 군, 업무에 만족한다는 군, 직업에 대한 적성이 맞는다는 군, 직업전환의사가 없다는 군에서 유의하게 높았다. 조사대상자의 직무만족도는 직업전문성 인식도, 사회적 지지와는 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보인 반면, 직무스트레스와는 유의한 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 공분산 구조분석 결과, 직업전문성 인식도는 직무스트레스나 사회적 지지 보다 직무만족도에 더 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 직업전문성 인식도와 사회적 지지가 높을수록, 직무스트레스가 낮을수록 직무만족도를 증가시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 직업전문성 인식도와 사회적 지지가 높을수록 직무스트레스 요인을 감소시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Dietary Supplementation of Benzoic Acid and Essential Oil Compounds Affects Buffering Capacity of the Feeds, Performance of Turkey Poults and Their Antioxidant Status, pH in the Digestive Tract, Intestinal Microbiota and Morphology

  • Three trials were conducted to evaluate the effect of supplementation of a basal diet with benzoic acid or thymol or a mixture of essential oil blends (MEO) or a combination of benzoic acid with MEO (BMEO) on growth performance of turkey poults. Control groups were fed a basal diet. In trial 1, benzoic acid was supplied at levels of 300 and 1,000 mg/kg. In trial 2, thymol or the MEO were supplied at levels of 30 mg/kg. In trial 3, the combination of benzoic acid with MEO was evaluated. Benzoic acid, MEO and BMEO improved performance, increased lactic acid bacteria populations and decreased coliform bacteria in the caeca. Thymol, MEO and BMEO improved antioxidant status of turkeys. Benzoic acid and BMEO reduced the buffering capacity compared to control feed and the pH values of the caecal content. Benzoic acid and EOs may be suggested as an effective alternative to AGP in turkeys.

고등학교 보건교육 관련 교사의 보건교육수행 및 관련요인에 대한 연구 (A Study on High School Health Education Teachers' Activities and Other Influential Variables)

  • High school is regarded as the period when many important physical, mental and social developments occur, and when many health-related behaviors are formed. School health education is one of the major learning resources influencing health potential in the home and community as well as for the individual student. High school health education in Korea has a fundamental systemic flaw however, in that health -related subjects are divided and taught under various subjects at school. In order to achieve quality health education, it is essential to assess the learners' and teachers' educational needs. So far, most of the research projects that had been carried out for improving high school health education were limited to only the learners' educational need. They failed to in elude an educational assessment of the teachers. Therefore, in this study the high school health education teachers' needs relating to health education were investigated through a focus on the teachers' health education activity level, health education activity self-efficacy level, and perceived level of importance in health education content. In this study, research instruments these factors were constructed by Yoo(1997) on the basis of the PRECEDE model. The data for this study were collected from a sample consisting of twenty general and vocational high schools in Seoul and Chongju for a two month period beginning in July, 1996. In analyzing the data, an ANOVA test and stepwise multiple regression were accomplished using an SPSS - PC+ program. The results were as follows: The average level of health education activity and self-efficacy among high school health edu cation teachers were found to be low. But, teachers' perceived importance of health education contents was high. Teachers' activity and perceived importance concerning sex education were lower than in other health education areas. Health education activity of Military drill teachers was higher than that of physical education teachers as well as school nurses. But it was not significant. Health education activity self-efficacy of school nurses was higher than that of other teachers(p<.05). Perceived level of importance of health education contents was the most influential variable in teachers' health education activity. Health education activity self-efficacy level was not an influential variable in teachers' health education activity. The significance of this study is that it has diagnosed the needs of high school health education through the teachers' assessment of a variety of health factors related. These findings suggest that the management of an integrated health education, program requiring large changes in the curriculum of health education is necessary.

학군사관후보생의 조직몰입 예측모형 (Structural Equation Modeling on Organizational Commitment in ROTC Cadets)

  • 본 연구는 학군사관후보생의 조직몰입에 미치는 영향요인을 규명하고자 가설적 모형을 구축하고 모형의 적합도 및 유의성을 검증하였다. 연구대상자는 D시, P시, G도에 소재한 8개 대학교의 학군사관후보생 3, 4학년 남학생 209명을 대상으로 하였으며, 2018년 4월 13일에서 5월 29일까지 자료 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 20.0과 AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 가설적 모형에 대한 적합지수는 ${\chi}^2/df=1.51$, GFI=.98, AGFI=.90, NFI=0.98, NFI=.97, RMR=.02, RMSEA=.05, TLI=.98로 지표 기준을 충족하였다. 연구결과 학군단장 리더십, 자기효능감, 직무만족과 조직몰입 간에는 양의 상관관계가 있었으며, 가설적 구조모형의 6개의 경로 중 6개가 통계적으로 유의하였다. 학군단장 리더십과 자기효능감은 조직몰입에 직접 및 간접효과를 보였으며, 직무만족은 조직몰입에 가장 강한 직접영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었고, 학군사관후보생의 조직몰입에 대해 73% 설명하였다. 따라서 본 연구결과 학군사관후보생의 조직몰입을 높이기 위해서는 학군단장 리더십과 자기효능감, 직무만족을 높일 수 있는 효율적인 교육 및 중재프로그램 개발이 필요하다.
