중학교 체육교과서에 제시된 보건단원 내용 고찰 (Contents Analysis of Health Unit in the Middle School Physical Education Textbook)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate various characteristics of the health unit presented in current physical educational curriculum and study a variety of middle school physical education textbooks in the aspect of health education. The conclusions of this research are as follow Acquiring and executing of health knowledge is important in the school health education. Thus, the contents of textbook suitable to the developmental stage of teenager and applicable to future life should be concretely presented in the physical education textbook. The standard of selecting the range of physical education contents should be regulated, and the contents appropriate to standard should be presented in the physical education textbook. We make student utilize the textbook by showing the sample the example of portfolio and self-checklist in the textbook. In the aspect of formation of textbook, scientific and systematic which is appropriate to improving the power of thinking and inquiry should be used in the textbook. In the aspect of format of textbook, application of CD-ROM or video type should be attempted, making the textbook. Moreover, the health education in the physical education textbook should be connected to not only the school health education but the health education in the unit of home and society for the purpose of successful health education.

중학교 환경 교과서에 제시된 질문의 특성 (Questioning Styles in the Middle School Environmental Textbooks)

  • The study is conducted to analyze the questioning styles in three middle school environmental textbooks in terms of frequency, type, and placement of questions. It is also to analyse and compare the kinds of scientific processes elicited by the questions in the topics of textbook. The instrument was the Textbook Questioning Strategies Assesment Instrument (TQSAI) which was developed the Cooperative Teacher Preparation Program, University of California. The mean number of questions per topic was 4.0 and the ratio of questions to sentences was 3.8%. The numbers of empirical and non-empirical questions were 52.5% and 47.5% for textbook D, 56.6% and 43.4% for textbook J, and 92.7% and 7.3% for textbook K, respectively. The open-hearted question was the highest in all types of questions for three middle school environmental textbooks. The explanatory question was the highest in all characteristics of questions. The types of various questions were distributed throughout textbooks including the green field, debate-discussion, examination, and so on.

중학교 환경 교과서의 내용 구성 방식의 분석

  • Environmental education in Korea has been emphasized since the Fourth National Curriculum. The Environment curriculum became independent as 'Environment' for middle school and 'Environmental Science' for high school were set as independent subjects upon the Sixth National Curriculum of Korea. And the Enviroment Textbook for middle school was published by the Ministry of Education of Korea. The purpose of this study is to analyze environment textbook for middle school focusing on the organization, the format, questions and illustrations. It was expected that the results of this study could be used by Environment textbook developers. According to the analysis of 'Environment',on the organization, the textbook was consisted of 219 pages and 22 units. A unit was consisted of many subunits and activities. On the content of the textbook, the objectives of subunits stressed more on explanation form than on exemplification form. On the questions, most of them were in <activities> and the objectives of questions stressed on the presentation of the contents. The specific aspect referring results, cause, and judgement, etc. were vary rarely checked. The questions seemed as good, because questions were mostly pertinent to the what to ask, and had a good connection to the main text. By the analysis of illustration, illustrations were mostly functioned as supportive and rarely as decorative, Most of them were photographs and printed all in black-and-white pictures.

중학교 교육과정에서 비례적 사고가 필요한 수학 개념 분석 (An analysis on mathematical concepts for proportional reasoning in the middle school mathematics curriculum)

  • The concepts of ratio, rate, and proportion are used in everyday life and are also applied to many disciplines such as mathematics and science. Proportional reasoning is known as one of the pivotal ideas in school mathematics because it links elementary ideas to deeper concepts of mathematics and science. However, previous research has shown that it is difficult for students to recognize the proportionality in contextualized situations. The purpose of this study is to understand how the mathematical concept in the middle school mathematics curriculum is connected with ratio, rate, and proportion and to investigate the characteristics of proportional reasoning through analyzing the concept including ratio, rate, and proportion on the middle school mathematics curriculum. This study also examines mathematical concepts (direct proportion, slope, and similarity) presented in a middle school textbook by exploring diverse interpretations among ratio, rate, and proportion and by comparing findings from literature on proportional reasoning. Our textbook analysis indicated that mechanical formal were emphasized in problems connected with ratio, rate, and proportion. Also, there were limited contextualizations of problems and tasks in the textbook so that it might not be enough to develop students' proportional reasoning.

중학교 정보 교과서의 선택 기준 개발 (Development of Selection Criteria for Informatics Textbooks in Middle School)

  • 2007년 개정 교육과정의 시행에 따라 새로운 정보 교과서가 2010년부터 중학교 1학년에 적용된 뒤 중등학교로 점차적으로 확대 시행된다. 그러나 정보 교과서 선택을 위한 평가 관련 연구가 미미하며, 특히 중학교 정보 교과서에 대한 선택 기준 개발은 전무한 상태이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 중학교 정보 교과서 선택 기준의 제안을 연구 목표로 하며, 그 세부적인 연구 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존의 교과서 평가 관련 연구들을 일반 교과서 선택 준거, 탐구성에 대한 교과서 분석법, 기존 중등 정보 교과서를 분석한 선행 연구로 나누어 분석한 뒤, 중학교 정보 교과서를 위한 선택 기준을 제안한다. 둘째, 제안된 정보 교과서 선택 기준과 타 평가준거를 사용하여 중학교 1학년 정보 교과서 5종을 비교 분석하였다. 끝으로 본 논문은 중학교 정보 교과서에 대한 선택 기준 제안과 비교 분석을 통해 정보 교과서의 선정에 도움을 주고, 향후 정보 교과서의 평가 연구를 위한 개발에 구체적인 방향을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

한국, 일본, 중국 과학교과서의 '실험' 내용 비교 분석 연구 (An International Comparative Study of 'Experiment' Presentation of Science Textbooks of Korea, Japan, and China)

  • This study was to compare 'experiment' presentation types of middle school science textbooks of Korea, Japan, and China and to draw some implication for the improvement of Korean science textbooks. It analyzed the experiments from the unit 'Light' of science textbooks which is common content in all three different science textbooks. The researchers analyzed the experiments with two questions. First, how is the experiment organized? Second, what role does each element of the experiment is playing in the experiment setting? The findings of international comparative analysis of experiment presentation types of middle school science textbooks of three countries were as follows. First, the Korean and Chinese textbooks tended to present the experiments without enough information for the experimental process and method, whereas the Japanese textbook tended to present the experiment with detailed information for the experimental method and process. Second, whereas the Korean and Chinese textbooks tended to have a loosened relationship among pre-experimental content, experiment, after-experiment content, the Japanese textbook tended to have an organic relationship among pre-experimental content, experiment, after-experiment content.

중학교 기술$\cdot$가정 교과서의 '자원의 관리와 환경' 영역과 다른 교과의 교육내용 관련성 분석 (Comparison between the Contents of 'Management of Resource and Environment' Area in Home Economics Textbook and Those of Other Subject Textbooks of Middle School)

  • 본 연구는 제 7차 교육과정 기술$\cdot$가정 교과서 중 가정 부분의 '자원의 관리와 환경' 영역 내용과 다른 교과 내용을 분석하여 관련성을 파악하기 위하여 국어, 도덕, 사회, 수학, 과학, 기술, 체육, 음악, 미술 교과서를 분석하였다. 음악을 제외한 전 교과의 내용에서 '자원의 관리와 환경 영역의 내용과 유사한 내용이 발견되었다. 기술$\cdot$가정 교과서의 '자원의 관리와 환경' 영역과 사회교과의 3학년 내용과 많은 관련성을 보이고 있었다 가장 다른 교과와 관련성이 높은 '자원의 관리와 환경' 영역의 내용은 '자원의 활용과 환경' 중단원 중 환경 부분과 '우리들의 소비 생활' 중단원의 소비자 관련 내용으로 나타났다. 그리고 '청소년의 시간과 일 관리' 중단원의 내용이 다른 교과의 내용과 그 관련성이 가장 적게 나타났다. 각 교과마다 목표와 성격이 다르기 때문에 같은 주제라 할지라도, 다루고 있는 초점과 제시방법, 내용의 상세성 정도가 교과마다 차이를 보이 있었다.

중학교 수학 교과서 분석을 통한 정당화 방안 탐색 (An Exploration of Justification Types represented in the Geometry field of Middle School Mathematics Textbook)

  • 중학교 기하 영역에서 엄밀하고 형식적인 정당화로서 증명에 대한 여러 연구가 있어왔고 교육과정의 변화와 함께 증명은 지속적으로 수준을 약화하여 왔다. 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 중학교 수학과 교육과정에서는 증명이라는 용어를 삭제하고 정당화의 의미로서 '이해하고 설명 할 수 있다'는 문장을 사용함으로써 실질적인 증명 약화를 꾀하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현재 중학교 수학 교과서의 기하 영역을 분석함으로써 구체적이고 현실적인 정당화의 사례를 제시하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 분석 결과 증명이 중학교 2학년에서 등장함에 비해 학생들의 인지 상태를 고려하여 사용할 수 있는 정당화의 유형들이 사용되지 않았음을 확인하였고, 중학교 1, 2, 3학년 수학교과서에 제시된 다양한 예로부터 새로운 교육과정에 따른 교과서에서 사용할 수 있는 정당화의 사례를 확인하였다.

중학교 환경 교과서의 질문방략 (A Comparison of Questioning Styles in Middle School Environmeotology Textbook)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the questioning styles in middle school environmentology textbook In terms of frequency, type, and placement of questions. It was also to analyse and to compare the kinds of scientific inquiry processes elicited by the questions in the topics of textbooks. The instrument was the Textbook Questing Strategies Assessment Instrument (TQSAI) developed the Cooperative Teacher Preparation Project, University of California. The average number of Questions per topic was only 1.09 and the ratio of questions to sentences was 2.5%. Most of questions were in explanatory place(75%). Nearly 90% of experienced questions types were reasoning or application. The frequencies of non-experiential question were higher than those of experiential question. In action, there were much kinds of question-styles.
